That museum is for people who really are interested in history, cultured people who want to get more knowledge in general, students who have history assignments, and people who really are curiouos about how our ancestors' life was. Otherwise you can get bored, anxious, or feel overwhelmed with such an amount of information.

Hey guys, glad to see that you enjoyed the museum, it's one of my favorites in the city as well (FYI museums have free entrance on sundays). I'm a history major from the UNAM and I just want to let you know that the term "aztec" and all it's derivatives is wildy incorrect, the term that should be used is "mexica" which is the way the inhabitants of Tenochtitlán used for themselves in the XVI century chronicles that those who started living under the spaniard regime wrote.
For the piece incorrectly called the "aztec calendar" I'de recommend using the name "piedra del sol" in Spanish or "stone of the sun" if you're using English.
I really like your project and I hope you keep visiting museums here in the city. I'de be happy to provide some historical insight if you think you'll need it.

once my family tried to visit all of this museum at once, as in reading all the descriptions and visiting all the rooms without skipping anything.
We gave up after like 6 hours, becuse we were tired and hungry. We barely visited half of all in the museum
    This place is HUGE

Museo de Antropología e Historia is the Smithsonian of México. My favorite is the Mayan hall too, Aztecs were the mostly wariors and conquers, Teotihuacans were mostly religious, Olmecs were wise and ancient historians, Mayans were the scientist, mathematicians and astronomers, their calendar was the most exact of their era and their 5-base (not 10 like Arabic) numeric system incorporated the zero, something ground braking for that time. Chacmol is my favorite piece, it was used to mark the entrance of a religious building, just like lions are often use at buildings of financial importance. The bowl it holds is associated mostly with water, as well as offerings and some times sacrifice of human parts.

Great video guys! There’s two pyramids in Cacaxtla about 30 minutes north of cholula in Tlaxcala. I was able to visit one of them and to me it was an amazing experience, we were lucky there was one of the archeologists working and he gave the small group that was present an amazing tour and explained the meaning of their paintings. Tacos arabes or Alpastor?

Almost all the museums in Mexico are really awesome,I think there are not a museum in Mexico which you can get bored, but another great museum who can compete with "Museo Nacional de Antropologia" close to Mexico city is "Museo del Virreinato" in Tepotzotlan Estado de Mexico.
    My favorite museums are :
    Museo del Virreinato
    Museo de San Carlos
    Museo de la caricatura
    Museo de la estampa
Museo de medicina (antiguo palacio de la inquisicion)
    Museo de geologia
    Museo anahuacali
    Museo Rufino Tamayo
    Polyforum Cultural Siqueiros
    Museo Dolores Olmedo
    Museo del Carmen
    Museo Franz Mayer
    Museo de Historia Natural
    Museo de la Inquiscion
    and of course
Museo de Antropologia and Templo Mayor, but they are very popular among people and tourists. All people know them.

DID y'all know about the heist that happened there in the mid 80's or something, priceless pieces of art and gold masks were stolen from there. The value was just unjustified. Most likely an inside job. But MOST was "recovered" three years later. Currently under production for a Hollywood film.

I love all the major museums in CDMX. It’s impossible to pick a favorite. But when it comes to uniquely curated spaces, amazing artifacts, and other displays-from prehispanic Mexican history to science and technology-zero cost, overwhelming doses of culture, and unbelievable learning opportunity, I would say it’s metro stations, which are nothing short of a vast, interconnected museum.

Viva Mexicoooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

"Montezuma"... a common Gringo (not Greg) and Canuck mistake. It's MOCTEZUMA, who is well documented in the Salon Azteca, and dealt directly with Hernan Cortez, while trying to unsuccessfully rip off hidden gold. An archeological, mind-boggling mystery to this day!

Please feel absolutely free to correct me, as I am interested but no historian, BTW: very few People in Canada know any more than they learn at beach resorts

There's nothing wrong with picking up language and words as you travel to Mexico's resorts and cities. I'm half Mex on my mom's side, and have learned most of my Spanish at home. I want to help other viewers of the Kennons' vlogs.

It's actually Hernán Cortés and Motecuhzoma (in náhuatl). Greetings
