I'll be triple dipping. The hope is to collect the all the Timely Omnibus tomes, as well as all the Golden Age titled Omnibus. And, I've already started collecting the trade paperback copies of the MMS Golden Age titles that came out a few years ago.

The double-dipping with their new versions is annoying but those character-centric ones miss so much. I'm torn on this.

I wish DC remastered as well as Marvel does. I wonder if one day Marvel will release a volume 3 with never before reprinted material.
Also to continue on Captain America GA with material never reprinted, too.
Tempted by that one but I would be happier to buy it as part of a series, so will Marvel bring out a vol 3, 4 etc so we get the entire GA Marvel Mystery Omnibus. Got the Bill Everett one as well as I've read many of the stories in MMW form (though I prefer Omnibus any day). Great video as ever.
Yes, I'd be interested in knowing how many volumes of this Marvel plans in releasing as well. Will it only be these two volumes, or could we be looking forward to more from this series of omnibuses, too.
@@jonny9884 I would love to see more GA omnis come out , especially now we have no GA MMW releases or Atlas era ones So many great (and not so great) issues remain to be released from that period, guess depends on the sales. I have every intention of getting as many as possible but it does depend on the overlaps, such as for me with the new Kirby romance / war one. Some more horror ones would be great but there are so many other genres hardly touched.
@@jonny9884 I guess it depends on how well they sell, also the material available, restoration costs etc but I would love to see all of the GA Marvel material in omni. I suspect it will be a long wait on my part !! Likewise the Atlas material (though I did get the brilliant Atlas at War book, hope that gets a few additional volumes). Obviously Nellie the Nurse, Tessie the Typist, Millie the Model etc probably won't be getting an omni anytime soon
We must buy those to have more, it will depend on how well they sell.

I don't think I can bring myself to double dip on both the character centric volumes and this, even with the non-Kirby/Everett/Burgos material, but that still is one gorgeous cover.
I skipped the timely classics so this is a definite purchase for me

Omar unfortunately the books retails for 150$ not 125 as You mentioned. Wish I would have to spend less for this brilliant book.
Does anyone seriously pay cover price?
@@MarkSmith-ch1gx i am from Poland Europe. I still pay under cover price while preordering from Polish Comicshop that orders straight from Diamond. By wishing to pay less i preferred the cover price to be less so the price with the discount is also smaller. Unfortunately not everyone can have access to Instocktrades. I think You are very spolied with IST as many can't imagine paying cover price.

This is going to be a head scratcher for Golden Age vs Timely’s Greatest, for those who have read them does the extra material found in the TG add anything over the Golden Age ones?

I won’t be picking it up. Omar, you say that the files used are pretty old as they were published in the Masterworks .. this is true .. but, Marvel cancelled both pre-Silver Age Masterworks lines, so .. what can a poor boy do? Luckily, over the years I’ve picked-up every one of those Masterworks, but I’ll only buy the Omnis ‘if’ they go past the cancelled Masterworks line 🍻
What is the difference between this line and the Timely’s Greatest line? Do they collect the same stuff? Would you recommend one over the other?
Timely's line is character centric. So only Namor or Captain America storie.
@@NearMintCondition Do you have the recent reprint of volume 1? Is the Golden Age Marvel etc title on the spine in a gold flavored yellow color as well? I have the original first print of Volume 1 from a few years ago and the title is in standard white, quite a punch in the eye when you look at it side by side with this second book on the shelf.

Have all the MMW and the 4 Timely Greatest, that’s more than enough golden age for me, most of the stories (and art) is forgettable, so i gladly pass on this ....
