It really burns my grits that someone would take advantage of a family in this situation!!! There's a special place in hell for someone like that. I'm so glad the employer had the good sense to send someone down there to investigate the investigator.

I think it's professionally unethical for the ship captain to tell the family to leave the ship and go looking for her in Curacau, then to leave the family behind. It took the FBI involvement to get the ship searched again; only after the ship had time to sail off and port again somewhere else. What kind of captain would urge the family to de-board and go search an unfamiliar town? At least one family member could have stayed on the ship watching/looking for her. The captain should be on the list of suspects, or at least be recognized as someone who made some really bad and strange decisions. Who else on the ship's staff would have the power to confiscate all of the photographs taken and remove any with Amy in them? I wouldn't want a captain like that sailing a ship I was on.

    • @lauranorwar
      @lauranorwar 8 лет назад +15

Sounds like a captain who was complicit in the crime--his actions seem to go beyond mere negligence.

    • @trace-elementz1343
      @trace-elementz1343 8 лет назад +4

+lauranorwar Yes, at the very least his actions present like someone who doesn't want to admit something bad can happen on his watch, therefore he herded the family off the ship. Maybe to get some time to figure out what to do or because he just didn't want to deal with the situation. Whatever the reason, his actions look suspicious.

Thank you so much for your opinion on this case! Last year I've read the first time about her disappearence and spend almost the whole evening collecting every piece of information. I believe the 2005 pictures are indeed Amy and with this whole context; the statements from the Diver and Naval officer, it's highly possible she was forced into sex slavery. Even after month, I still have this feeling, Yellow or Alister Douglas was involved in some kind of way. I remember visiting his facebook page, just starring at his picture and thought: "Just tell them what you really know". Sadly and you mentioned it, after 2005, no more information (besides the Jawbone) not one more sighting etc. happened. It's heartbreaking! I hope and wish that Amy is still alive and will come home..

I agree that was her in the pictures back in 2005 and I will never get on a cruise ship simply because of their shady reputations..We actually have one that docks in our city (Charleston,SC) and have been offered amazing discounts and job offers but I always say NO Thank You...

  • @christyarnhart4152

I heard about this case years ago and always felt that she was sold into slavery. There were just too many sightings. From what I've read so many girls end up that way. I hope the naval officer bears this horrible guilt all his life. I don't care what you're doing. She needed help in the worst way possible but he didn't want to get into to trouble. Better hope when he needs it people act better than he did.

I know craziness happens on land, but stories like these are why I'll never step foot on a cruise ship. People go missing so easily and the cruise ships always act shady. Not to mention the other horror stories like food poisoning, rape etc. I've watched her story a few times & I live in Alabama so the Holloway case is well known here. These poor families, their suffering is life long with cases like these. I hope something comes along to solve her case.

  • @IDRATHERBREADINGMYDX
    @IDRATHERBREADINGMYDX 8 лет назад +39

My conclusion is based solely on the content of this video. In my opinion, this girl was kidnapped and sold into sex slavery. It appears the ship's photographer in particular was directly involved. This kidnapping operation was preexisting. In other words, the photographer, prior to this particular cruise, had been instructed to be on the look-out for attractive, young women. Once spotted, he would take several pictures of the potential victim and provide them to whoever made the decision to abduct her based on the photos. Because she went missing before the ship reached port, someone else aboard the ship (most likely another crew member) was also involved. More than likely, she was drugged, bound, gagged and stashed in an area of the ship that the initial search purposely did not encompass. Once the guests and family went ashore, it would not be difficult to secret her off the ship possibly hidden in a crate or sack. It's common for ships to offload and load supplies when they make port. This type of activity would not have raised suspicion.
Because every photo the photographer had taken of her was missing, this is my theory.

Yeah I'm really curious why law enforcement/armed forces/private agents don't just go to brothels, pay for time with someone, and asked if they're being sex trafficked. And if they say yes, get them out...? I mean. I know they don't have the legal right to shut down brothels in other countries. But I feel like a well-supplied small group could still rescue a person or two.

The two sightings woman in the bathroom and sailor have been discredited. The woman took $8,000 for her information and appearance. I got this information from Generation Why podcast. I also think traffickers take very young vulnerable girls, who often don't speak English. Unfortunately, they have many to choose from and the girls are rarely reported missing. The last thing traffickers want is a fuss and investigations. I have now come to the conclusion she disappeared on the ship and in the waters. Very, very sad.

In every report written and discussed about this case, her father clearly states something woke him up. I believe he heard her fall, in some way she made a sound and it startled him awake. I’m not trying to debunk the kidnapping theory, but logically, the time element must be looked at above all. Her father saw her legs on the balcony “about thirty minutes” before he was awoken by “something”. If she left the room and that’s what he heard, why wouldn’t he encounter her in the hallway or nearby, since he states he immediately began searching for her? How could she be kidnapped and whisked away in broad daylight when everyone is getting ready to disembark? That’s risky. And if you say someone hid her body first, then how did they incapacitate her so quickly and hide her away within such a small window of time? Why would she leave to go meet this guy at such a time in the morning when she knew she needed sleep before the trip to to the mainland? A hookup before breakfast, when she could have just stayed with him all night? Doesn’t make sense. Another big clue: she didn’t take her shoes. That tells me she never left the cabin/ balcony. I highly doubt she’d leave the cabin without shoes. Personally, I think she may have been sick, as I’ve read that she told her brother she wasn’t feeling well. She may have needed to vomit over the side rail, leaned to far in order not to hit the deck below, and fallen overboard. Simple, I know. I may absolutely be wrong. But the conspiracies don’t make sense long term. I do pray for the family.

What an amazing story- My heart is with the Bradleys. I feel that this photo is authentic proof of her being alive. I feel there is still hope Amy can return home. I could not imagine the family living with this knowledge that their only daughter is not only alive, but living a life of sexual slavery; It seems like something more could be done to track down Amy Bradley - I guess I'm naive in how many of these islands are in existence, and how often she is shuffled around to different locations- I just wish that with both the Canadian and naval officer sitings, authorities would have been contacted immediately. It's unreal to think that we are approaching 20 years of this girl being missing; I hope her family gets answers, closure, but most importantly, that they get their Amy again. I never believed she fell overboard; and that Yellow guy knows alot more than he's stated. I truly feel that FBI should requestion him and get answers- I would feel that a light complected white American female with piercing green eyes would definitely stand out in this part of the world. When the escort photos of possible Amy Bradley surfaced on that Caribbean website, it was interesting to note that her hair and body positioning were all strategically placed to hide her many tatoos. From what Iva said about the layover of the photos, all the peircings, ear shape, eye brow to forehead length, there were too many similarities to show it was Amy. I truly would love to see this girl return to her family

What happened to Jennifer Kesse-is i truly believe what happened to Amy Bradley. Sex Trafficking-by the same sex ring. Jennifer vanished while living in Florida. It seems there is a special sex trafficking ring that supplies american women who has international clients who want women who are not street prostitutes/runaways-but more middle class/upper class young women., who can be used in the more "upper class" escort sex business...with some of those forced into this business serving as "madams".Clients pay very high prices for these american women-and it is a million dollar business..and those running these sex escort businesses-handle it as such-and are very dangerous-it's an organized crime ring-and they will not hesitate to kill anyone who seeks to find these women-and do everything to protect these women from any attempt at rescue-and do everything to keep these women from escaping. These women like Amy Bradley and Jennifer Kesse and Beth Holloway-are usually kept addicted to drugs and brainwashed by threats to their life-to keep them from attempting an escape.
Why doesn't the Bradley family have a facebook page for Amy Bradley's case?
Is there a sex trafficking special task force-ithat works on these cases-
that go into websites that are sex traffick websites-especially overseas-who literally do deals on women who are forced into these sex trafficking rings-and are literally put up for sale on these sex trafficking websites? Can't they pose as clients-to find possible those like Amy and Jennifer and Beth??
Out of curiousity-i actually have ventured on some of these porn-like/sex traffciking sites-and it's scary-and i'm sure well run sites what are very careful on screening who may be a legit client and who isn't.! Right?
Have no doubts whomever has Amy and Jennifer and Beth-frequently check for any updates/news on them on the internet, etc;!

You sir are one of the good guys, thank you for all your research and to bring awareness to all this sad sad stories. This one is terrifying, I wonder if alive how much of the old Amy is still there, these people, man, the suffering they must go through, I wonder if any of these people ever leave a normal life if rescued or escaped... the scariest thing in the world for me is certainly human trafficking. The way these people disappear, one can tell the people behind it must be really rich and powerful... no way someone in this cruise-ship was not involved, telling the family to go out into the town to search, leaving them behind, erasing the photos, damn they should have all been arrested, those were the critical hours, after that it is almost impossible to get them back. Will never forget the Rui Pedro case a little boy that disappeared from his village after going for a walk with an older friend that wanted to take him to a prostitute and was never seen again only years later a photo on a pornographic site was found and experts said it was him, just like in this case, which means he was sold to human trafficking. His parents are a complete wreck, he disappeared also in the nineties and until today they search for him, it is a baffling case, hope one day you can cover it. Congratulations on your work. It is priceless!

I've seen very little information about the so-called 'member of the navy' who claims to have seen Amy Bradley in the brothel. What kind of coward fails to IMMEDIATELY report a potential American citizen being held captive? Who is this person? Is this account supported with any evidence, or is it just another clown trying to draw attention. If their account is certified accurate, that person should live in shame for the remainder of their existence.

Thanks for looking into this case, John. I think that pic of the woman on the bed is her. Notice how the pic of the woman (whether it's her or not) is NOT SMILING! Also the sailor who claimed he saw her at the brothel- I think his story is credible. There is no way he could have known about the tattoos Amy had. I'm not sure what time frame that pic of the woman (who is most likely Amy) came from but I thought they said 2005. I could be wrong though. Again thanks for looking into this case.

If the naval officer was so concerned about being punished, he could've lied about why he was in there. He could've claimed he thought the place was a regular bar, he needed directions, or thought he heard someone screaming. Even if he didn't lie, you would think he would avoid punishment for saving a young woman's life.

    (Dec 26th 2022 updates):
An article I could find from this year states that "Once the jawbone was cleared of any connection to Holloway, the authorities ceased pursuing the lead - despite the fact that 9 other Caribbean vacationers were still currently missing. No DNA testing was done on the bone, but it was determined to belong to a Caucasian."
Currently the FBI is offering up $25,000 for any info that could lead to closure in the case. The Bradley family offer $50,000 for info regarding her location & $250,000 for info that leads to her safe return.
Outside of that there is no real update.

Unless there is any security footage of her at all after the father stated he saw her on the balcony, I cannot come to any other conclusion other than she fell over board. She was seen on her balcony by her father one minute and the next she was gone. Her shoes were still sitting there. You cannot rely on eye witness testimony from strangers regardless of how many people came forward. Whatever happened it is a tragic story.

Hey John, another great video. I remember seeing the Amy Bradley case on TV but it was years ago. I didn't know that there were such similarities with the Natalee Holloway case. Did you see the story on Yahoo recently that Vander-somethingorother (the guy who's doing time for her abduction/murder) is back in the news -- still milking that poor girls story! Anyway, back to Amy: I googled photos of her and it's chilling to see her cruise pics right next to the adult web site picture of her. Yeah, that REALLY looks like her, doesn't it!? God, she's missed her whole life, practically. I really began to tear up, man. And why didn't that serviceman ever DO anything when she begged him for help??? So many questions.....

Hey, John. I was doing some research of my own on this case and came across an article that said that they did testing on the jawbone, but when they realized it didn't have a connection to the Natalee Holloway case, no further testing was done. I'm not sure how accurate the article is, but I hope that isn't true! I think it would be a shame to just give up on a piece of evidence and not do anymore testing on it whatsoever. As the article mentions, there are obviously others they could've compared the jawbone to, but it apparently didn't happen. Anyway, it also mentioned that the jaw bone was that of a "younger female". Not sure if they mean younger than Natalee or just "younger" in the broad sense of the term. It's sad either way! m.ranker.com/list/facts-about-amy-lynn-bradley/philgibbons

Suggestions for other cases such as these (as if you don't have a huge running list)
the disappearance of Rebecca Coriam, a cruise ship worker for Disney Cruises
Cruise ship disappearances in general. My impression is that with disappearances/deaths of people on cruises there are so many loopholes and snarls in the law that these things (even more than in the other cases you've done on land where law enforcement appears incompetent and victim-blaming) get dropped like a hot potato.

Man it seems that a person (or persons) was using their job with this Cruise line as an opportunity to sell people into trafficking. It seems like someone took her pictures to show a buyer. I think she was picked out and led to some piece of garbage. Yellow knows where she went. He may not know where she is now but he knows what happened. I know this is just my opinion but why would someone take her pictures? I think it was to show her to a potential buyer...

Makes the difference between her being taken against her will by whoever or her going somewhere on the boat willingly

If she was captured when she was 23 and is in her 40's now....then there's noway they'd keep a woman for that long. They'd just scout younger, prettier girls. Therefore I think she's probably dead

Hi John, I'm a relatively new subscriber to your channel after finding you through looking up information on the Elisa Lam case. I've been working my way through your other videos and cases as I am throughly enjoying them (which is the wrong expression considering the subject matter, but I hope you know what I mean :) ). I admire the amount of work, research and logical way you approach each case and want to thank you for bringing attention to many cases that in most instances would be ignored. I was browsing RUclips earlier and came across a short video clip on another channel posted fairly recently about a Mum who had gone missing with her children but then later discovered she was dead in their car whilst the children although alive were very dehydrated. I was wondering if you or any of your viewers knew anything about this case as the wee bit of research I've done am finding hard to uncover anything...maybe it's still early days in the case??? I just thought I would mention it here as I find it intriguing and of course so very sad. Hopefully the link to the video will post for me.......

Apparently the Carlos'n Charlie's in Aruba closed in 2008, three years after Natalie disappeared. And Amy implied desire to visit a chain restaurant....hmmmm. I would do a background check on the people who worked at the Aruba Carlos'n Charlie's between 1998 and 2005. There's pics missing and Yellows daughter just happens to mention he had pics of Amy, her mom would get upset about it, bc he was "obsessed " with her and the pics and his daughter also said that the ship was shady, and he knows what happened to her. I think she's drugged too, at this point, and not seasick like her dad said. I think bc of Aruba and the Carlos and Charlie's bar, they used ghb in drinks, that's how Jordan drugged natalee. Mixed w alcohol which is what they think happened to Natalee, was that there was too much ghb Mixed with alcohol or the other way around or both. It caused it to be fatal. They talked about it on the show her dad was on. She looks drugged and not drunk. But they are dancing....kind of sexually, she's all up on him at one point...I don't know if this is a case of he raped and killed her or the sex slave theory...but maybe he got the wrong impression from dancing that she was down to F- and she denied him and he got mad...I don't know. It seems in these countries there's a very very very high rape rate. If it was crew members from that country or any other one I'd think uh oh bc you don't know if she was dancing on him bc she was drunk or bc she was drugged. Either way, if his daughters saying that, and he's the last person to see her, and his lie detectors test was not conclusive/showed deception, only thing I can't get around is the fact that her dad sees her sleeping on the patio around 5:30 am I think, then he wakes back up at 6 and she's gone...you would think he'd have heard her come in. And she would have had to, bc after being seen around 6-6:30ish am I think w yellow handing her a drink, he exits, but she never comes back out... so it's either he raped and killed her or the sex slavery. But then you also have to fit in this she was outside before that even happened but didn't make any noise coming in? It was half an hour. What about her saying she was going to go get cigarettes to her brother, and that was all that was missing, her cigarettes and lighter... I just don't think that it can fit together until you know what 9 hrs they erased on the cameras, and that's long gone. Not checking the ship good enough or right away... really hurt the case. I don't think she went overboard bc she's not seen leaving after yellow leaves by himself. And that's after the patio according to the timeline.. the pics look exactly like her, same ear piercings, I get stuck on the 80s look though, if it's 2005 when they're taken, then why does she look like the 80s? It's odd. The bed is odd. If you were advertising wouldn't you want sheets? I don't understand... make it look exactly like she got trafficked bc that's what it looks like. But like I said unfortunately like Magdalena Zuk, Nara Pech, George Smith(just throwing him in bc of the cruise, we know who did it, very obvious)...that very odd disappearances and deaths seem to happen in other countries with Americans..natalee too, but we know who killed her. I think Magdalena was in a similar situation whether getting raped by a bunch of men, oddly with all M names, or was going to be taken into trafficking... but bc she was in such a bad mental state, they just killed her. But you'd think she'd leave blood like George Smith from falling if she went over. Or in the water if she got chopped by the propeller. Again, I just don't know, bc one shows she's on the patio, another she is with yellow, doesn't come out on camera. And then there's trafficking/pics on the escort site... what happened the night before and why are the fbi suddenly interested in that? Did she leave? They said she'd have to swipe a card, or she wouldn't be able to. So, why does her brother say she was saying she's gonna go to the island for cigarettes? How? I think they'd have released it if she was logged as leaving the ship. What happened on the missing 9 hrs of tape they erased?

I read about her case a few years ago. Someone saw her picture too, if i am not confusing it with someone else...in a Brazilian porn site, or something. Interesting. I am sure she was taken, a lot of these cruises have people being taken just to sell in countries like Brazil or Mexico. Shame.

I went to Aruba on a cruise around that time, and Carlos and Charley's was part of an "excursion." The tour group took us to a topless beach, and then Carlos and Charley's. It was described as the "only Americanized bar" on our 4 stop tour. It's definitely a tourist attraction.

How awful for her family. What's the rest of the story with the Naval officer? Did he at least try to help her? Also, I went on a couple of cruises years ago and remember everyone recommending Carlos and Charlies, so they are pretty well known. I wonder how many young women have disappeared from cruise ships and vacation spots. Our group never gave it a thought when we went on cruises. How naïve of us back in the 80's.

+Lovin'Life2016 The naval officer was afraid to come forward with the info because of where he was, so he took a few years before speaking about it publicly.

+Lovin'Life2016 He was a damn coward from what I've been able to research. "He said he had decided not to report the incident at that time, fearing that he would get into trouble with the Navy for having been in a brothel, and only contacted Amy's family after he had retired and saw her picture, and perhaps information of a reward, in a magazine." That makes me so angry. He was more afraid of "getting in trouble" than actually helping someone.

Oh wow, this is a case that hits close to home. I've been on many cruises, and last year I was in Curacao. She is definitely still alive, and definitely was sold into a human trafficking/sex slavery ring. The captain and cruise ship officials should have used the ship wide intercom system way sooner than they did and should not have docked the ship and let people off. I'm going on a cruise this summer, and this case will definitely be in my mind.

If I had connections to any former/retired Spec. Ops. members, my plan to find out what happened to Amy could be carried out.

I wonder why the guy in the Navy didn't help her?

Probably because he invented the story after seeing shows on her, his motive was likely the reward money.

My very first thought was that this was human trafficking. What I don't understand, is if she begged the Navy guy to help her, did he even try to help her? I didn't see any info on that, only the mention that she asked him for help. If she asked him for help, and he did nothing for her when he certainly could have, I would have an extremely difficult time justifying his non-action. As compassionate as I try to be, part of me wishes for a special punishment in hell just for him.
That so called "investigator"? Good Lord, what is wrong with people? I just don't understand people who can take advantage of families in distress like he did! He gets a seat next to the Navy guy!
    Ok, I'm done venting...for the moment. :)
My biggest concern is that, now that she's over 40yr old, and if indeed she is in the sexual slavery, which I believe she is, she may not be alive anymore. I don't want to even imagine what that kind of hard life would do to someone and their "value" in the trade. If they no longer see her as profitable, they may kill her. I pray that's not the case.

Carlos and Charlie's is a really common tourist bar all over the Caribbean. I don't think its anything more than a coincidence that both girls were at the same bar.

so why didn't the FBI book "jazz" the girl that look like Amy to find out if it's really her and plan a rescue mission? it seems like instead they decided to go public with the pictures and information.

John there is another photo of a woman who looks like Amy sitting up looking to the side of the bed & it shows alittle more of her face. This case is baffling very sad, heartbreaking & I pray her family gets closure someday.
