Jazak Allah dear Dr. Younis I was so sad when I got my period because my niyyah was strong to reap the most reward during this Ramadan, but I do not need to be sad because I still follow the Will of Allah SWT. I will still get up and make Dhikr Insha'Allh.
JazakAllah ❤❤❤ I was really sad and was crying that I can't pray in odd nights cause of menstruation... But Alhamdulillah that Allah give us the permission to do Zikr and Dua ❤❤❤
thank you for this. inshallah i will celebrate my first ramadan this year. in a normal month, i feel far from Allah swt when i can't pray and read due to menstruation. thank you for reminding me that it is an act of worship to obey, that forgoing fasting and prayer in some cases is the best worship i can perform. alhamdulillah i am reminded every month of why i worship Allah swt through reading and praying; this will also remind me that sometimes Allah swt asks me to do things i don't understand but to obey is holy.
Thank you. Even though I became Muslim in 2010 I stopped practicing in 2013. I have been so stubborn this year about getting back right that I have been sad and frustrated this month because I’ve only had one day of not bleeding. I was so happy that day that I was able to pray Isha, yet the next morning it was back. I was stubborn and wanted to read so I read the Quaran and have been feeling guilty ever since. I have been looking for guidance on this situation and I am so happy that Allah (SWT) woke me up at an hour ago so I could see this. Thank you to the person who asked this question and thank you for answering it so eloquently. May Allah (SWT) reward you and your families many times over. If anyone could help me with more information I would greatly appreciated due to the fact I am starting over again. Like after Ramadan…. How can I make up for missing the whole month? And how do I go about doing so? I apologize for this being so long. Thank you in advance to whomever reads this. Thank you. May you and all of your families be rewarded greatly
ASA Ramadan Mubarak ☪️ This is my first Ramadan and from all the information I have gathered it is never too late to start and you make up those days as soon as you can. One girl asked her potential consort to read the Quran 40 days straight. I think the extra 10 days are for the women who have to make up during that time and she asked her man to read the Quran for 40 days instead of 30 bc of this, I think.
salam welcome back okay so we have to make up our missed fasts and we can still do dhikr tongue is pure 24/7 and listen quranic recitation( mostly womens fast in winters cause days are shorter and not hot just a preference not a command from Allah)
SubhanAllah, Jazak Allahu Khairan. I was literally in tears last night thinking I am going to miss out on few days of the last 10 days. Of this blessed month. This video has put my heart at ease. May Allah (swt) accept all our Ibadah’s and forgive us for all our shortcomings. Ameen🤲🏼🤲🏼
Feel like crying. Now feel better after watching the video. Our Almighty Allah is the best. He is the most merciful. And yess it is not our choice. May Allah always helpp us to overcome difficult situation. May he don't leave us ever. Ameen.
I am sad for not being able to fast from today and just few ramadan days are left😭... Ya Allah.. Accept the previous rozas and duas ... Ameen... Nd Astagfirullah if knowing or unknowingly i i had commited any kind of sins...
Thank you very much, our dear sister, for explaining all of that. Yesterday, i got the periods in day 26 midday. I cried so much because I really wanted to fast all days. But when I heard your speech I felt a lot better. May Allah bless you and all Muslims wherever they are. And may Allah accept our duas and our fasting Amin
In this Ramadan I got my period twice. But, in 17 days that i fasted, I read bosnian transcription of Qur’an (because I dont know arabic. When I finished the transcription, I started reading and reciting transliteration 🥹) prayed every salah, prayed every tahajjud, did my daily dhikr, istigfar, didn’t watch any movie (which I used to do in previous Ramadans :( ) alhamdulillah. I prayed on 4 odd nights. I can say that this is literally the best Ramadan so far for me, alhamdulillah 😭 I pray to Allah swt to accept all our good deeds, duas and intentions, insaAllah. ❤
Alhamdullila..how merciful is our Lord swt...I was heart broken 😢💔 and dreading this time of the month...hearing this brings me a sense of relief and hope...اللهم لك الحمد ...ya kareem ya latif❤❤
Subhanallah Islam is good ❤Alhamdullilah even I have my period but my mind always praying and saying all those I memories from the quran coz I used too❤
I also had the same question because I am also menstruating and I feel very bad since I can’t fast during this Holy Month. This is my first Ramadan that I could not fulfill all of my fasts because of menstruation. My mom said that I can fast after Ramadan on the day of Shawwal to make up for those missed fasts.
What if Allah has „already“ forgiven us and so we are exempt from praying during this time due to our monthly cycle? Allah works in mysterious ways and we should not be sad because we cannot pray right now…
"When we standing and praying, we are obeying Allah SWT. But when we're not, because Allah swt told us not to (during menstruation), we are also obeying Allah swt." So my dear sisters, don't be sad, as your obedient is an act of worship. MashaAllah, jazakillah khairan. May Allah swt prolong your life and bless you with good health for your services for the ummah. I cried hearing this, indeed Allah swt is the most merciful. May Allah swt accept our good deeds. I have a question that no one has given a satisfactory answer to about it. I have been trying to find for a long time to find a solid reference of a hadith or ayah that ‘prohibits’ women from fasting during her menstruation. From hadith what I have found at most is that Ayesha RA narrated that she would make up her remaining fasts before the beginning of next Ramadan, and it is implied that her missed fasts were due to menstruation (and even if it was, it does not say that one MUST NOT fast). From Quran, I have found that 1) Allah has commanded men to not come close to their wife during these days because they are not full health. 2)Allah has given a ‘choice’ to sick and travelers to not fast during Ramadan if they can’t (they are not forbidden, they are given a choice). No where is Quran or hadith I found that a menstruating woman MUST NOT fast. Many women actually do not feel sick enough to miss their fast during periods, and many woman are actually more vulnerable in PMS rather than during periods. Many woman actually feel better without eating during their menstruation because it helps with the sickness of bloating or nausea. So, my humble question is, where is it declared haram to not fast. I have asked several male and female scholars. Most of them didn’t respond, and those who did said that if you want to fast, you can. I know many pregnant woman or nursing mothers who choose to fast, why can’t a menstruating woman choose this. I also wonder about salah, but I know there are a few sprinkled ahadith that can lead to the conclusion that women can’t pray, but k don’t gee convinced for the ruling of fasting. It appears more of an added thing from cultural that got prevalent. Perhaps it started as ‘menstruating women can choose not to fast’, then became ‘menstruating women may not fast’ then became ‘menstruating woman must not fast’ and eventually it became haram to fast for menstruating women. And Allah knows the best.
@@sunogupshup1675 you are not a five year old child that needs an ABC book. it does NOT need to be written down in hadees aur the Quran. facts do NOT need evidence. the fact that no woman prior to this deluded LGBT generation has EVER fasted during menstruation is ALL THE EVIDENCE you need.
Although there is a difference of opinion, many of the scholars, including Ibn Abbaas, Imaam Bukhaari, Ibn Taymiyah, Ibn Baaz, Shaikh al-Albaani, etc said that it is okay for a woman on her menses to read the Qur'aan, without touching it directly. 🍃Ibn Taymiyah said: “There is no clear, saheeh text to indicate that a menstruating woman is forbidden to recite Qur'aan… It is known that women used to menstruate at the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and he did not forbid them to recite Qur'aan, or to remember Allaah (dhikr) and offer du’aa’.” 🍃And Shaikh Ibn Baaz said: "It is permissible for the woman who is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth to recite Qur’aan according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions." (Majmoo‘ Fataawa Ibn Baaz, 10/209) If you want to be extra careful about not touching the Mushaf, you can also read the Qur'aan off of the Internet or on your cell phone And Allah knows best
Can we read Quran from memory like ayt ul kursi? I read it all the time when on my period I didn’t realise also I’ve heard u can read it from memory but I’m not sure
If its your time ( women generally know when its the time) then the fast becomes null n void... Break fast then... If its not the time of your cycle then it might be some infection or something else... Do wudhu frequently and continue fast... And allah knows best
Assalamualaikum... Thank you so much for sharing this...I have one question,, when should I stop praying or fasting because I sometimes feel a little stain but the actual cycle starts a day after? I am confused... should I break my fast on that very first moment or should I wait?
What if someone finished her period at the middle of the day. Will she continue fasting? Will it be a day to recuperate or will it be a day of fasting?
Finished at mid day? That means she didn't fast that day. Fast starts at dawn and if she didn't get done with her period before dawn then she cannot fast that day. She will have to make it up another time Just like if you get your period in the middle of the day or even if it is 10mins before iftaar, the fast becomes invalid and you'll have to make it up Jazakallah
@@aishaismail9127 no. You have got this wrong. Once her period starts she can break her fast. Once it stops, she HAS to stop eating and behave exactly like the people around her who are fasting. The same goes for a traveller when he arrived back into his city. And for one who was ill and is now better.
Jazakum Allah Khairan We can also listen to the Qur'an recitation at that time Alrasool peace be upon him used to put his head on Alsayeda Aisha's lap during her menses time and recite the Qur'an❤
Assalamu Alaikum, Dr Haifa, I'm housemaid in Saudi Arabia, I have question, I remember when I was go to the Madrasah ibtidaiya, regarding periods and the Qur'an, women have Period, not allow even touch the Qur'an, or directly reading the Qur'an, also not Allowed to enter the Mosque But so many lady reading and touching the Qur'an as well while they are on periods And myself feel big sin, because once I doing dusting I have to touch the Qur'an because I have to clean the table that's Qur'an on it, Subhaanallah they have Soo many Qur'an and put everywhere, under table even So Wallahi I'm very scared About the Qur'an, and I love to read the Qur'an and hadits Thanks
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Dear sister Dr.Haifaa….Alhamdulillah u explained it very well… Jazakkallah khair… I heard someone saying that if a woman need to extend her cycle during ramadan to perform salah nd so on,she can extend her cycle by using medication… So can u pls explain is it permissible to do like that?
If you want to read Qur'an you should need to take wudu so during menstruation we can't take wudu so I think it's not ok to read Qur'an on phone oru in any other devices during menstruation. I have heard this from Omar Suleiman 😊
You can read quran with gloves or from mobile or ipad or something you are not allowed to touch but you can read but not allowed to read or touch the quran if you are in the state of junub after sexual intercorse @@Euphoria11210
"Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is obvious that women used to menstruate at the time of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he did not forbid them to recite Qur’aan. -- Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa, 21/460 He also said: There is no Sunnah at all forbidding (the menstruating woman) to recite Qur’aan. Women used to menstruate at the time of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and if reciting was haraam for them, as prayer is, then this would have been one of the things that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade to his ummah, and the Mothers of the Believers would have known of it, and it would have been one of the things that they transmitted to the people. As no one transmitted any such prohibition from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), it is not permissible to make it haraam. It should also be noted that he did not forbid that, and as he did not forbid it, even though there were so many menstruating women at his time, it is known that it is not haraam. End quote. Assalamualaikum Can someone please ans me ramadan is 2 days apart and I'm having istahaza (continuous bleeding) as my periods were always irregular so now even after noticing myself for whole month i didn't able to differentiate between mensural bleeding and bleeding from vessels pls someone who knows tell me
Ofcourse you can. You know prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to lie on Aisha RA's lap and recite quran while she was on her menses It clearly isn't something dirty or frowned upon. Hope that helps inshaAllah
This is my first time doing Ramadan and I just want clarity. This did not provide clarity one moment she’s saying you can pray the next she saying you can’t and then she saying ask for forgiveness if you do this is confusing someone please help.
@@joijoi617Assalamu aleykum. On basic days you MUST to pray! You obey Allah doing this.BUT when you on your menses you CANT pray,it’s forbidden to pray on this days by Allah STW.So you obey first by praying (when you not on your mens) and when you’re not praying(when you ON your menses)you obey Allah too, because he forbidden it for you and you listening to his rules and you not praying cause you now it’s haram and you seeking Allah approval. Ask for forgiveness means ask Allah to forgive all of you’re sins, actions you’ve done because Allah will forgive all of your sins in Laylatul Qadr “Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.” So when you on your menses you can’t pray, but you can make dua and ask for forgiveness.I hope I help you even little🌺
If a female is healthy and willing, she should fast. It's between her and her maker. Period. You're welcome to disagree and cite your sources. But when someone says "God knows best," leave it and mind your own soul.
When I was memorising the Qur'an when I was in school, our Hifdh teacher says we can touch the Qur'an during the hifdh period, so as to allow her to participate more like following the recitation and knowing what is being pronounced. But after hifdh she's not to touch it.
@@razamughal9095 of course you can , you can search it If reading lf reciting the quran during period were to be forbidden then Allah Swt and his messenger pbup would mention it not only once but multiple time , and Aicha RA never mentioned that the prophet stopped her from reading and reciting the quran when she was in her period :)

Did you get an answer? I am also confused with this matter. Inshallah, the truth will be revealed to us 🤲
This is why we have muftis amongst us. It is a FACT that has never been denied, that menstruating WOMEN CANNOT FAST.
@@razamughal4582and yet, I have asked many and no me has given me a proof from Quran or authentic Hadith that “prohibits” it.
Assalamu alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu.
Why can't we recite quran during this period..?
Please explain ma'am
I lov u sister for the sake of allah. Pls include me in your dua.
Thank you ma
Although there is a difference of opinion, many of the scholars, including Ibn Abbaas, Imaam Bukhaari, Ibn Taymiyah, Ibn Baaz, Shaikh al-Albaani, etc said that it is okay for a woman on her menses to read the Qur'aan, without touching it directly.
🍃Ibn Taymiyah said:
“There is no clear, saheeh text to indicate that a menstruating woman is forbidden to recite Qur'aan… It is known that women used to menstruate at the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and he did not forbid them to recite Qur'aan, or to remember Allaah (dhikr) and offer du’aa’.”
🍃And Shaikh Ibn Baaz said:
"It is permissible for the woman who is menstruating or bleeding following childbirth to recite Qur’aan according to the more correct of the two scholarly opinions."
(Majmoo‘ Fataawa Ibn Baaz, 10/209)
If you want to be extra careful about not touching the Mushaf, you can also read the Qur'aan off of the Internet or on your cell phone
And Allah knows best
I was just wondering about this... 🥺
Love you doctor🥹💗💗💗💗
Assalamu alaikum! Can we've some guidance for menstruation during Hajj

What if you get threads of red color . Should you break your fast?
If its your time ( women generally know when its the time) then the fast becomes null n void... Break fast then... If its not the time of your cycle then it might be some infection or something else... Do wudhu frequently and continue fast...
And allah knows best
JazakAllah Khair❤
Can we listen Quran
If one is sincere clock in from day one n not choose cos u won’t know which day is the blessed night
Jazak Allahu Khairun
I have a question. Besides asking for forgiviness, can we ask Allah for other things during rhis time?
Assalamualaikum... Thank you so much for sharing this...I have one question,, when should I stop praying or fasting because I sometimes feel a little stain but the actual cycle starts a day after? I am confused... should I break my fast on that very first moment or should I wait?
Yes you have to break at that moment becoz it's the start of your cycle
What if someone finished her period at the middle of the day. Will she continue fasting? Will it be a day to recuperate or will it be a day of fasting?
Finished at mid day? That means she didn't fast that day. Fast starts at dawn and if she didn't get done with her period before dawn then she cannot fast that day. She will have to make it up another time
Just like if you get your period in the middle of the day or even if it is 10mins before iftaar, the fast becomes invalid and you'll have to make it up
Jazakallah
@@Erthalni jazakAllahu khair, so meaning, I can't fast even if I'm done with my period at mid day right?
@@imamuslim375 you have to stay hungry like the fasting people around you, once period stops. The fast has to be made up.
@Raza Mughal Assalamu alaykum sister, you're mistaken. There's nothing stopping her from eating after her period stops in mid day
@@aishaismail9127 no. You have got this wrong. Once her period starts she can break her fast. Once it stops, she HAS to stop eating and behave exactly like the people around her who are fasting. The same goes for a traveller when he arrived back into his city. And for one who was ill and is now better.
Jazakum Allah Khairan
We can also listen to the Qur'an recitation at that time
Alrasool peace be upon him used to put his head on Alsayeda Aisha's lap during her menses time and recite the Qur'an❤
Assalamu Alaikum, Dr Haifa, I'm housemaid in Saudi Arabia, I have question, I remember when I was go to the Madrasah ibtidaiya, regarding periods and the Qur'an, women have Period, not allow even touch the Qur'an, or directly reading the Qur'an, also not Allowed to enter the Mosque
But so many lady reading and touching the Qur'an as well while they are on periods
And myself feel big sin, because once I doing dusting I have to touch the Qur'an because I have to clean the table that's Qur'an on it,
Subhaanallah they have Soo many Qur'an and put everywhere, under table even
So Wallahi I'm very scared About the Qur'an, and I love to read the Qur'an and hadits
Thanks
I wish you could answer as to what should one do if you bleed beyond the days of yr cycle?
❤❤
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear sister Dr.Haifaa….Alhamdulillah u explained it very well… Jazakkallah khair…
I heard someone saying that if a woman need to extend her cycle during ramadan to perform salah nd so on,she can extend her cycle by using medication… So can u pls explain is it permissible to do like that?
Is it ok to read farhiha and ikhlas surah...on menstrual period.... ?????
Yes you can. Even you can read surah al-ikhlas 10x (deeds to build your home in Jannah) with the niyyah of zikr.
@@Erthalni no you CANT. You CANNOT read or recite from the Quran AT ALL during periods.
Can we read quran from phone?
No
Yes you can , quran is all about the words of Allah not just the book :) but indeed the book is holy
If you want to read Qur'an you should need to take wudu so during menstruation we can't take wudu so I think it's not ok to read Qur'an on phone oru in any other devices during menstruation. I have heard this from Omar Suleiman 😊
You are not touching the mushaf it. Please check Islamiqa
You can read quran with gloves or from mobile or ipad or something you are not allowed to touch but you can read but not allowed to read or touch the quran if you are in the state of junub after sexual intercorse @@Euphoria11210

"Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
It is obvious that women used to menstruate at the time of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and he did not forbid them to recite Qur’aan. --
Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa, 21/460
He also said:
There is no Sunnah at all forbidding (the menstruating woman) to recite Qur’aan. End quote.
Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa, 26/191"
Wrong. You CANNOT recite the Quran
Please tell about atikaf of women
Is it ok to read the translation of Quran during menstruation?
Yes without touching the Qur'an Majid
Also you can google it
Yes it is OK, AFAIK.

Assalamu Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, can I cook during my period days for them ?
Yes. You can.
Ofcourse you can. You know prophet Muhammad (SAW) used to lie on Aisha RA's lap and recite quran while she was on her menses
It clearly isn't something dirty or frowned upon.
Hope that helps inshaAllah

This confused me even more
This is my first time doing Ramadan and I just want clarity.
Ask for forgiveness means ask Allah to forgive all of you’re sins, actions you’ve done because Allah will forgive all of your sins in Laylatul Qadr “Whoever spends the night of Laylat al-Qadr in prayer out of faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.”
So when you on your menses you can’t pray, but you can make dua and ask for forgiveness.I hope I help you even little🌺
