After 9 months and fifteen thousand dollars, I have mine. Don't have anything to shoot with it, but it is ready and waiting with 500 rounds. Will be adding to those.
This rifle is so cool. When I first saw it, I thought it was actually a French design. Reminds me sort of, of the Famas. But awesome to hear it's Hungarian. Thanks for the vid!
aus71383 thanks! I definitely watched a lot of his videos. Work has expressed the desire for me to remain anonymous, so this format and my fps style shooting vids works for that for now.
There’s a used Lynx for sale at Reliable Gun in Vancouver BC for $13,500 and comes with three mags, (about $400-500 each). I’m just a little too poor to buy although of its still there after Christmas I may sell 7-8 guns and buy it so you have been warned.
Do you think it has any out of battery safety feature? I've stumbled on this comment, looks like the gun can fire with the bolt not being closed all the way... Scary stuff... Agent-OrangeCH "Years ago, a guy had a shooting accident here in Switzerland with his brand new GM6 Lynx. He survided, just burned his chin a little and had some scratches in his face from the bullet shrapnels. According to him, the bolt didnt lock 100% and when he pulled the trigger the bolt was smashed back, slit open the next bullet in the magazin and ignited the powder which burned his face."
I mean, it would be kinda cool but, if you're gonna go to the length of making this intricate and strong an action, why not keep it big with an 8 gauge or a big bore cartridge.
and this ladies and gentlemen is our new infantry rifle :) god could you imagine how shitty it would be lol heavier aye less mags probably but you know if you hit something it ain't getting up and you can punch through aaallll kinds of shit lol.

Do they not have 7's in canada? you said 12.8mm when it's actually 12.7mm and M108 instead of M107 with the Barrett kinda a funny coincidence It's interesting looking at this from an engineering perspective and a lot of this stuff is excess cost that doesn't really add value but it makes it cooler Like you can see ways to simplify it but it would loos some of the mystique and it'd be difficult to justify the 15k price tag

As civilian? It's a "sporting rifle" (shoot for fun)/collectible. For military or law enforcement? Special operations/airborne anti material rifle. Something you'd pull out when you don't want to/can't haul around a full sized Barret. This will knock out a car/armored car/helicopter/power substation a helluva lot faster than a 308 and in a much more compact configuration than a full sized Barret.
There are only 3 countries left in the world that have a constitutionallly guaranteed RIGHT to keep and bear arms, and they are all in the Americas....sadly though, Canada isn't one of them. They are Guatamala, Mexico and the US. Anyone that isn't blind and deaf, knows that Mexico and Guatamalas' rights are mostly only on paper, but not in reality, which only leaves the United States as the last bastion of the right of armed self defense. the bolt locking system is quite unique.
The standard Russian anti tank rifle is the 14.5 x 114 mm cartridge. The 12.7 x 108 mm cartridge was considered insufficient.
