The studio version of "Heaven Isn't Long For You" is a sing-a-long song driven by banjos and acoustic guitars. The upbeat studio version is focused on the concept of Heaven… This version, on the other hand, is maybe a little bit more ambiguous. A sort of dreamy reprise.
To be honest, sometimes it feels a little daunting to film these videos, but when we start putting it together and start playing, we’re pulled back. We’ve always found these little stripped versions to be a fun way of re-imagining songs. Maybe focusing on a different lyric changes how we think the song should feel. Or maybe a new guitar part or melody comes to us that takes the song in a different direction. In any case, we hope you like this version.
