Nah I completely disagree having the ports on the sides. I love that all of them are at the back, the sides ports (the cables) always interfere with my workspace especially the mouse, additional monitors and other stuff on my desk. I just wish the screen was OLED, would consider buying it if that was the screen. Nice review though, not too long.
Agreed , rear ports FTW , I'm still patiently waiting for a replacement for my 2017 Alienware 13R3 OLED 1440P touch screen with 1060. Why hasn't Alienware done a refresh of Alienware 13" OLED???? They have a 14 , but no OLED screen. 13 inch with OLED touch 120hz and 4060/4070 would do it for me.
Got the same specs as you, just a 4090. Loving it so much, had an issue with the track pad but got it fixed up! The power on tap is INSANE. I have a desktop 4090 PC as well and ofc it doesn't even hold up a candle but compared to a desktop 3090/Ti, this thing is a BEAST. Love the video!

LOL my wife got hers in literally last night. Its funny that you should post this. She isn't really a gamer but the xps has no I.O. anymore and doesn't come with >60hz screen so this was the obvious choice. I think if at least the xps 17 had at least 1x USB-A, an HDMI, and a 120hz 1440p screen, it would crush everything. She got the 240hz, i9, 32gb ram with a 4060. It feels way better than my m15 r6 (which I got as a replacement for a defective M15 R2) and I am looking forward to the upgrade in a few years. Maybe I can get her into some games haha ;)

I like Alienware products, they have great aesthetics. Not practical to buy though 😂. A laptop Shouldn't be bigger than its display cause you can't find a backpack for these types of oversized laptops(mini desktops). The Mac mini is way smaller.

Still using my 5 yr old first version of M15. It really depends on how you take care of it. It still works like it's new. Problem with Alienware is the thermals.
10 months later, and I’m considering getting one. As I’m getting older, I’m starting to feel like consoles are becoming more and more outdated. Best Buy has a deal for a 32GB RAM, Ryzen 9, 4080, 1 TB SSD laptop for $1899.99. I think I’d be stupid to pass that up. It would be my first gaming laptop.

Alienware’s Legend 2 and 3 feel more like cost cutting than actual aesthetic improvement… they’re starting to look more and more generic with every “refinement” in my opinion, Legend 1.0 was peak
Honestly 4050 GPU is pretty good and combined. with enough storage and RAM it should be worth it. Legions also cost around that price. If you want decent quality it is a good price compared to MSI which has budget options.
I bought the Alienware but the temperatures are over 100 C even playing league, I returned it and bought the legion 7i pro instead and its waaaay better
I’ve actually moved the channel more towards gaming desktops. Haven’t done a laptop video in a long time. Alienware always gets the most views so that shows me there is more demand and interest in that content. And Alienware sends me review units. Many laptop brands don’t do that for me yet :/

you can get a legion laptop same specs for 1200 less. Alienware over charging pretty bad.
