I have to admit, I was cringing when you tried to break the tile in the dining area. LOL! When we moved into our first house, there was CARPET in the kitchen. I know, right?! We hired someone to do the tile. It.was.hard.work. I found out why they charge so much. You definitely have to know what you are doing! SOOOOO worth it, though! I wouldn't even attempt to do that myself if you are going to re-tile it. Can't wait to see the finished product! 🥰
Fourth Wing is SO good! Especially the last few chapters which I had to binge in like 2 and a half hours 😂 I also don’t like fantasy that much but I breezed through it 🎉 hope you enjoy it as much as me!
This video was fabulous- Progress not Perfection! In all things! It’s so fun to be here for the Before with your home Reno… I love the process of home improvement, slow but sure😊
I’m about halfway through Fourth Wing right now and am loving it. I normally only like psychological thrillers, but this is opening my mind to fantasy. :). Hope you enjoy it! And have you looked into flooring where you can just lay it over the tile? That’s what we are looking into doing to save on having to mess around with the tile. Otherwise, I just vote hiring a contractor if you want to rip out the tile.
Happy 2024! Congrats on your first home. My boyfriend and I just got our first home together and also going through home transformations! I have been following your family for quite some time - you all bring laughter, joy, and hope- good vibes, and your authenticity and natural personalities are GOLD.
I really like the white in the sunroom. It really makes the colors outside pop. And I’m glad you lightened up your bathroom lighting. I thought it might give you a different perspective.
renee i think you should do rooms that you frequent in the most first (bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) so you could feel more of the change your talking about
Tile removal is not for the faint of heart. We removed it from a kitchen, bath, laundry room and family room and it took forever, made a huge mess, and then laid real wood floors which we also did ourselves. We were successful but tile is really hard to remove since it is applied to to an underlayment with a layer of thinset mortar.... hope it goes easy on you.
Hi Renee. I've watched your channel since I discovered it in 2019. You've always comforted me and cheered me up. Youve been through SO MUCH and you stay genuine. You remind me alot of myself lol. Dont be too hard on yourself you're doing great!! The house is coming along wonderfully and yes you will have bloopers and oopses but remember you're a new mom with a beautiful little boy and a new home which you two have been renovating on your own. You're doing so well. Keep it up sweetheart, it will all turn out in the end you'll see 😊
I had been waiting for the AG1 code from you. I even checked your IG. Wanted to give you the credit 😊 Ordered the travel packs since I travel a lot right now. Very excited. Also, when I quit caffeine. I did it cold turkey. After a couple of weeks I now have sustainably energy with zero caffeine. It seemed backwards because I drank caffeine for energy yet when I quit completely in 2022 I now have more energy than I ever had with caffeine. Just my story. I even gave up matcha. I drink it on rare occasion but I mostly drink herbal teas only and homemade banana milk at night. Happy 2024!!
In the sunroom. It is probably 1/2" cement backer board over ontop of the existing plywood subfloor. Zander is probly right. I tiled a lot but once very simply could tile over linoleum flooring no problems. We also installed our own hardwood vinyl planks since they snap together. I wished we were younger because we are just in beginning stages like showroom tomorrow and they are charging $$$$$ for everything, like extra for only 2 rooms of vinyl plank flooring add ons! Not getting knobs at all from them! Would you rather install $50 worth of knobs yourself or showroom $700. It isnt even my house to live in forever because they dont even have a garden tub to install that is comfortable ( medical reasons need it, magnesium baths) so I (my old self) have to go way upstairs every day just to shower and if i take a bath, in a kids bath rub. Lol . Few things but grateful to have found an affordable new house to build as expensive it has been here in NC to a place far away in a scary area. That is where right now houses are more affordable. Should have kept my new maxed out beautiful home i had sold end of 2019. 😢 Apartment living is not for us as we pay extremely high rent in the NC Research Triangle and they jack rent up each year which we have to renew again soon.We been paying more than our NTG will be! Building this home, they wouldn't even paint our walls white! 2 choices only. Already put more into it then I wanted to but had to make it feel comfortable and resealable. What type/color tile does Zander have in mind? Think what is in there now is porcelain tile. Not expensive. Amazed how quick you can paint a room!❤ You have youth on your side still! In love w/that granite in your master bathroom! Wow!
i love white. i live in a sunroom of the house as my bedroom. we won't harp on how it's not really meant to be a bedroom (i don't care, it's a huge room and i need the space) but it was yellow before when we moved in which is a TERRIBLE color. and it being this very cool bright white means even on a dreary rainy day close to dusk it's bright af in there. i only need lamps at night tbh! wouldn't have it any other way
Hey Renee! I'm not 100% sure but I would check if there's a certain timeline for when you should take the creatine before or after working out! I used to take it and remember it being important to take it a few hours before or after muscle building👍 Love your videos! xo
Happy New Year!! 🎊💛🥳 welcome back! Yess, I loved creatine when I was working out (pre pregnancy) it really does make a difference! I used the isopure creatine and just took a scoop before working out, but definitely stay hydrated. Gahh can’t wait to get back into it haha. The sunroom is looking really nice, love the natural light that comes in. Ps. If you have any recommendation for good boy winter clothes I’d love to hear it. We are moving from FL to Virginia with a 6 m/o dreading the cold winters.
Just a thought about the other people's furniture kinda blocking your process... why not put it on fb marketplace or some other sell site? In fact do all their furniture in the house that you don't really need. You should not feel bad about it; its yours, as you bought it with the house so you deserve to make a little cash off of it that you can put right back into home improvement. I have no idea what wicker stuff, etc costs but the people buying will help you figure it out. Most importantly it gives you a fresh start. I remember in your New York vlogs and others, when you sold things you didn't need and got them out the way it always super motivated you into thinking of next steps. Of course it was just you then who had to sit on the floor, so maybe some pieces now need to be kept. 😂 Just wanted to remind you though of how good you have done with selling and how excited you get by fresh spaces (from a viewer's point of view anyhow). Anyhow Happy New Year! Glad your videos are back.
Haha I can count on 1 hand the number of date nights we got in 2023. Not really funny, but we didn’t have a reliable babysitter, and $$$$ to go have a night out plus paying a babysitter gets expensive! But we told each other we’d prioritize it this year.
Renee I love u and have been following u since your law of attraction days which is such a long time ago! And I say this with love but why do u have to put something down so bad when u decide to take a break from it? Like for this video, it’s coffee. I have watched u drink and enjoy coffee countless times and now u bash caffeine so bad that it doesnt make sense. U can choose to drink matcha for a certain period and then go have a cup of coffee once in a while. I think this kind of behaviour is what leads u to trouble. This happened with social media as well.. anyways, this has been long but honestly i feel like u’re my friend and I wanted to share my friendly thoughts. Love u and u look great as always!
Your tile is probably laying over cement board. Looks like you figured that out. Home reno is hard. We've done our own as well. Saved a lot of money but our bodies are feeling it.
ahahhaha the light thing is the opposite for me. i hate white light it makes me feel like i am at some governmental office or a hospital lol
hahah I’m the opposite I work at a hospital and I need white light at home.. I just feel like you can see things better that way 😄
@@HelloMoto_same 😂
@nazzy101 Agree. The white light is very harsh and feels very cold and not cozy at all. I would never use it in my home. But everyone is different.
Agree!!!@@berlinbeachkat4878
So original
Woah! With the sunroom white, the outside colors are popping and it feels like a nature haven. LOVE!
I have to admit, I was cringing when you tried to break the tile in the dining area. LOL! When we moved into our first house, there was CARPET in the kitchen. I know, right?! Same as my husband. He hates yellow light.
About the floors, pay someone who knows what he/she is doing.
Love the sunroom.
Couldn't you leave the tiles and put a new flooring on top of it? 🤔 I think I have heard people doing it and it's much easier!
I think that’s what we’re going to do!
Get your kindle hooked up to your local library’s ebook library. I read two to three books per week and they are all from the ebook library
Love fourth wing and iron flame! Its rhe perfect book if you were the type to like harry potter/hunger games etc growing up. Hope you like it!
Fourth Wing is SO good! Especially the last few chapters which I had to binge in like 2 and a half hours 😂 I also don’t like fantasy that much but I breezed through it 🎉 hope you enjoy it as much as me!

How is your relationship with xander different to your previous one?
Don’t do it!!!!! Put laminate over tile much easier and leveled

A Court of Thorns And Roses (ACOTAR) is another similar series and so good.
"when's the last time you read words in color?" That comment made me laugh.
Happy New Year to you and your sweet little family ❤️

Happy 2024 Renee, refurbishing your home isn't easy but it's gonna look beautiful when it's all done. Hope you've had a positive first week of 2024✨️!

YES!
Those room are probably the most expensive to removate though 🙈🙊
Lights was such a huge difference 😮 thanks for giggles on the kindle section😁. Such a sweet family😊

happy new year! I take a ceramics class, and you need to be masked to tear that tile out too.
Happy new year! You guys look amaze, glad you're back in track 🥰 also welcome to the kindle club!! and pls start a book club xx

You can use some modern sticking tiles if you cannot remove tiles in the sunroom.

Do you really want to leave sunny FL? Whatever the reason, it's is a tough trade-off to have to deal with cold winters!! Sometimes there is no choice.
@@Robbenl1 not at all, but when you get into medical school somewhere you have no choice :(
“When was the last time you read words in color “ 💀 okay z with the zingers
😅
The sun room looks much better
The fact that he reads too😮 omg i wish every guy did that😂

Happy New Year, Renee! 🥂
Look out for stuff your kindle days. Lots of books available for free. I think the next one is January 26-27 :)
I'm reading the 4th wing and the other one as well. bought both books
Oo could you post the recipe for the soup if you used one, please? It looks so good!!
Yes please!
What color of light did you end up getting on the yellow-white spectrum? I love the lighting it creates!!!!
Love your video.❤
Missed you, Renee. Love you vlogs. Is your gym Sportsclub?

Or you can put thin LVT flooring without taking out the tiles.
Fourth Wing❤
Why don’t you put the floors on top? 13:06
I love this!
Your soup looks delicious! Can we get your recipe, please?

I’m also wondering if it’s just the spackle (not correct term).
What kind of kindle do you have? 😊
I‘m wondering if you guys found a good church in north carolina and what your relationship with God has been since the move?
Fun video!!!
HNY!! 2024
Hey Renee
❤
Highly highly recommend taking creatine and prioritising, especially if you go back to gym , to help with recovery😊
So sterile.
It’s going to take a lotttt more than a hammer and a little scrapper to get up tile 🫣 that’s not an easy job at all
