- EN: After the Jack Sock vs. Lleyton Hewitt episode of gratious sportsmanship / fair-play, here comes another one, this time in an official tournament match in Sydney.
Although it would have been her point, Simona Halep gives another chance to Caroline Garcia, after the umpire Marija Cicak didn't hear the Let audio sensor. Point was replayed with Garcia's first serve. People applauding afterwards ! Garcia lost. Halep's QF opponent: Karolina Pliskova .

This umpire is always absent minded. It's like everybody knew what happened, and she's the only one who doesn't.
Marija Cicak is leading the list of the best chair umpires this year. Moreover, Marija is part of the very closed circle of Bages d'Or. So review your judgment and be respectful.
@@bentley5740 That might be true, but she's ALL OVER RUclips with getting the score wrong, missing a let, confusing her decisions etc.
She is the dopiest umpire on the tour. Many videos of her forgetting the score on here!!!!!

By the way this umpire is absolutely horrible. If you can find the match where this umpire was absolutely horrendous against Radwanska, please watch that one too.

daniel - a little touchy, eh? Relax. It IS a different story when you're up 1-5, and acknowledging that is no criticism of Halep. It's just reality.
Zweig Ackroyd in the RG Simona had in the final set 0-5 then 1-5 then 1-6 legit 100% :)))

zabaleta, tastes can differ, but I completely agree, she's very attractive. Some men don't like athletic women, perhaps because they feel threatened?

Easier to be a good sport when you are up two breaks in the final set. and up 15-30 on your opponents serve.
