I have underbite 😔 and I have to hide my teeth everytime I smile. I wish I could afford this. I really want to have a beautiful smile.
Many people do not know that there is an alternative to braces and jaw surgery. It's important to seek 2nd opinions and that each case is different so some treatment may not be possible. This is what I need. Wearing braces did not fix my underbite at all.

I have question , I only got three tooth on the upper and I got an upper denture ,and i only have 10 lower tooth and my question, is can i have braces on my lower teeth to fix the underbite? is there any possibility that my jaw will be affected in the future? by the way upper bone already shrink.

Mercy - it can be fixed and there are a few ways depending on the severity and you age, etc. Braces, braces with jaw surgery or in minor problems cosmetics. There are always options

Hi Mehmet! Sadly we do not no many dentists in the UK - when researching though, make sure you look into cosmetic focused and more specialised practices/dentists. Avoid general dental clinics, going to a more specialised practice will mean they deal with cosmetic cases more frequently and will have also had more detailed and focused training on cosmetic dentistry. They should be better suited to helping you. Hope this helps :-)

I want this type of treatment instead of surgery, but I don’t know if this treatment is suitable for how misaligned my jaw is. Are there cases that full mouth restoration can’t treat ?
Aw Day - this depends on many factors and if the problem is the jaw bone than surgery may be the best option. The dentist or orthodontist can help you with this. You need careful assessment and there are marks on you jaw scan (lateral ceph) and facial markers that help determine teeth change vs. jaw change. Hope this helps

The full treatment was 3 months - but only 4 main visits. The result with the trial smile was immediate on the day of treatment however the bite was the more challenge part with time taken - 8-10 weeks - for the new bite to settle, to test the bite and entire it was perfect
How much would this cost approximately? I am preparing for a jaw surgery but i want to quit. Its been 2 years of braces and meetings with surgeons, but still need to wait. I realised i just need this.

I am currently on ortho treatment with underbite that needs to be DJS after a year and a half. To be honest, Its gonna be painful physically and pocketelly (pocket).. just seeing this makes me rethink....

Hi Mark, we used porcelain to fix Shaun's under bite. A combination of porcelain veneers and crowns. It is what we call a 'full mouth reconstruction' these cases are highly complex and address not just the smile but but the bite and jaw alignment :-)

Hi, I'm from Australia and I had underbite relapse a couple years after getting my braces removed and it has kept moving back since. I was willing to fly to the USA to get this procedure done so I'm happy to have found someone in Australia that offers this procedure. Is it true that the jaw doesn't stop growing until 21 years of age? I'm 19 and I would like to fly to Perth for this procedure but I don't want to get it done now if my jaw will keep moving until I'm older. What are your thoughts on this?
Hi Kulkarawa, thanks for your message! Yes you are correct, the jaw keeps growing until around 18-21. Some studies even show up to 25 in some males. I had a quick chat to Dr Adrian then, he says that through looking at xrays you can examine and predict when the jaw will stop growing. From looking at those xrays he can advise if this porcelain treatment would be a viable option at this stage. It sounds as though you have done quite a bit of research already, have you had some recent xrays done? Hi there, I am 25 yo and I have underbite problem. I was already told by 2 orthodontists that surgery is the only way because it is my mandibular bone that moves forward. Hi Martin - this was about 3 months with around 4 main visits. There was some period to settle to the new bite when no work was completed and we allowed time for Shaun to adjust.

Lucky for him that’s a much more minor underbite than mine, and he’s already pretty okay looking to start with
This treatment can only be completed for minor underbite that is NOT related to jaw position. If the underbite is due to teeth, jaw growth, jaw position etc then braces and jaw surgery may be a better option. It depends on what the patient's end goal is and what result will treatment have. The result in this case is not perfect - however the treatment was relatively minor (if you consider braces and jaw surgery) and the patients was super happy with the end result

How do u fix with this issue??
This is a combination of bite correction with porcelain cosmetic treatment - Without braces or jaw surgery. We increased the height of the back teeth to reduce the bite issue and used limited porcelain on the upper front teeth to bring the upper teeth over the lower teeth

Thanks for your comments. Often people get underbites corrected for long-term chewing function and also cosmetic reasons. The change in Shaun's confidence after treatment was remarkable however functionally there was a huge difference.

Imagine having an uderbite soo.. Developed that i can make my tongue go under the upper teeth and make it cover my upper teeths like 20%
... I have to hide my smile and its unconfortable.. Not to mention i cannot eat meat like a normal cumqn like.. Bite down on meat.. No, i have to cut it then eat it... That also apply to other types of food.. Not all of em but its annoying asf
