I have found the best way of having a worm bed is to pile leaves and grass clippings up about 4 feet high and 10+ feet in
diameter and cover with a TARP. You will have an abundance of worms of all kinds. Just keep it moist and keep it covered
for the best results, toss in some vegetable scraps and a little corn meal.
That would be an easy way of doing it too. You just lose out on the worm pee, as it were.
Im trying to start a worm box for my reg wigglers and they were all wrapped together the other night I thought they must be mating lol
Worms always amaze me how they function.
Agreed!
Well curiosity is an amazing thing 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Seriously I wondered how they mate 😆😆
Me too
Well you see son ... theres a mommy and daddy worms ... and they rub together ... and the mommy worms gets pregnant and lays some eggs. Hh wait ... theres a mommy-daddy worm and a mommy-daddy worm ... and they rub together and both mommy-daddy worms get pregnant and lay some eggs. And those little eggs pop out into little little eensy weensy tiny baby worms ....
All the various genders these days really do get confusing.
Well hold onto your pants ... because crickets, like some reef fishes are males when young, and transgender into females in adulthoold. I found this with having a single cricket in a terrarium, ... and later cricket-cricket the (female) cricket gave birth to eggs. Go figure. The actual crickeet noise you hear (conventional statement) is a mating call ... nope. It is the female jiggling her previous male genetic "material" into her reproductive region, and self-impregnating. So cricket, cricket is actually self-love. So all those times from now on in summer when you hear crickets, they are GOING IT ALONE and DOING IT IN THE DIRT .... TMI for sure !!!
And when frogs go ribbet, ribbet, ... these CA frogs must speak a different language, because I swear I hear them saying, ... "cricket, cricket ... (wanna eat a cricket)."
@@johnlord8337 yo whaaaat, crickets r weird. Wait, so they aren't transgender, but rather become hermaphrodites.
Amazing little things.
Does anyone know why it's been so long since a video has been posted?
