Hey! i always wanted a bot that will play youtube/youtubemusic but most of the bots were taken down. i loved hydra but somtimes it doesnt even search spotify properly.
that's when i decided i'll local host a bot and search github and found this video. I have very little coding knowledge. even after some hurdles and errors that i found out why and was able to solve and with the help of this video i was able to learn more and also host this bot sucessfully and im happy that i can use prefix and play youtube and youtube links and playlists now. Best part is that you dont need to keep it running in the background since the website will do that for you and your bot will stay live the whole time which was surprising along the way since i was thinking to run it along when my pc starts.
Great video and i absolutley thankyou for putting it out there for people to understand and DIY this bot. This sparks some interest in me towards coding too.. me and my friends can chill listening to some youtube music .Thankyou alot!

This is a great music bot for a standalone host, but there is a problem - I just can't log into dashboard , no matter how hard I try, writes invalid OAutch2... But still, this does not interfere with the use of the bot.

Make a keep alive file and use an uptime robot
Uptime robot is so annoying i ended up just coding a bot that all i have to do is go on discord and type in add then the bot auto pings. Works for glitch and repl. And even better the alive bot itself is hosted on repl and pings itself

hello music bot is working but not playing anything from no plattform, also how can i edit the help command message at the very bottom? also /api/callback not working.
when I use the -play command and the name of the song, it looks like it's looking for it, but it never finds results, it only works with the direct link.
I know with the -search command you can do this, but I would like to know if you can automatically choose the first option in the -search list.
I'm having a problem with the bot where it will load all the events at the start (i.e. Info: Event Loaded: voiceStateUpdate) but won't do anything else. It will randomly work sometimes, but most not. It also will stop playing music after about an hour and the repl needs to be reset. Anyone know the solution to either of these problems?

It says outdated cause the bot uses djs12, and the latest version is djs13. you can simply ignore that.

I keep getting a ‘Invalid OAuth2 redirect_uri’ what should I do? This is for the website
Steps to fix:
1) Make sure to fill out all the contents on botconfig.js.
2) In the website part of the botconfig.js, in line 20 to be exact. Put there the website url. Note: all of those needs to be lowercase, I.e.: discordmusicbot.sudhan.tech
3) After that, go to your application on discord developer portal, and go to Oauth2 -> Redirects, there add the url site then /api/callback. It needs to be both https and http.
4) Click Save Changes
5) Restart your bot.
Will this bot still be able to play RUclips videos?

UHHHHH YEP. My server is gone. This video or description should be edited to talk about this instead of it hiding in the comments. The steps should be modified for people's protection.
My bot didn't even work correctly. I was able to try and do the help command and then next time I looked the server was wiped. So I definitely do NOT recommend trying this process!!! My server was gone in about 5 minutes.
