Hammer suggestion: Two large pieces of quartz on top of each other, done at night. This is because quartz emits light (triboluminescence) when its lattice is broken and would be superb to see on the slowie.

Oh man, the pressure waves inside the exercise ball, amazing. You can see how the energy oscillates faster and faster and finally the pressure of that wave ruptures the rubber.
Hey, Guys! Got a suggestion for you! You should think about creating some sort of launch system (maybe like a seesaw, which I’m sure would need to either be very sturdy or easily replaceable!) with which you’d use the giant hammer. You could also compete with each other to predict distances of the various objects you’d launch. Thanks for all the entertainment, and Merry Christmas!

I'd love to see how a glass sphere compares to the glass cube. Also, I would love to see what oobleck does with the hammer. But I'm not sure how you would do that. Might have to put it in a giant bowl or something.
That footage of the exercise ball is actually insane, you can see the pressure wave from the contact with the hammer bouncing back and forth on the ball four times, seemingly moving faster with each pass. Super cool!
highly doubt it. Slow mo guys are more scientific with explonations and everything. this here is just jackass but with objects. if you can not belive a glassblock shatters in a million pieces when you drop 3 tons on it, you should not be making this kind of videos.
I'd love to see a static timelapse of a shoot like this. I don't think I fully appreciate a) the mess you make and b) the amount of tidying up you do. Loving the hammer. I agree with Jack, pretty close to a 10 on the spray paint [chef's kiss].
That glass cube was incredible to watch! Just shattered into dust. lol Still curious how a glass sphere would handle the hammer though. While it may do the same as the cube, the shape could also have a huge impact on its strength. The edges of the cube create weak spots that may be what allowed the force of the impact to shatter it the way it did. The sphere, without those edges, may react more like a Prince Rupert's drop, which can withstand a hammer blow or even a bullet impact without shattering. Either way, it should be a lot of fun to watch.
I was slightly amused when the 2 that said they thought it would crack into 3 pieces, because they clearly don't understand even the basic properties of glass. Glass doesn't deform or break unevenly. It holds until the internal stresses are overcome then it catastrophically fails.
Glass sphere would have similar results. The reason why is because it's being sandwiched between to points and doesn't have any way to reverberate the shock or escape except for out the sides.
Decreasing the aperture while putting a spotlight on the impact zone to get the exposure right was a brilliant move on your guys part. The slow mo looks gavin free quality now! Cheers!

When another vid like this (with things likely to shrapnel out a lot), you should see if you can get some ballistics gel dummies (probably attached to some plywood of some kind to keep propped up) so you can show just how bad of an idea it would be to stand outside the bunker :D And for the glass sphere vs. cube, I'm fairly certain it comes down to each point on the surface of the sphere having an equal distance across for the whole of the object, while the cube has more "fracturable" locations (corners, edges). That being said, a glass sphere would also get obliterated by the hammer in possibly a more dangerous fashion than the cube (perfect for that ballistics-gel dummy idea :D)
Someone needs to make a high pressure blob, that has enough room in it so that when the hammer is fully down and on it the air is trapped in one side and it doesn’t burst. And then launch things!
The thing about glass is that it has a very high compressive strength, meaning that you have to press down on it very hard to shatter it, but very low shear strength, meaning you can snap a pane of glass in half quite easily. This is what created the coney-joneys; the impact point was able to support the weight of everything that pushed down on it (everything within a certain angle above it). But everything that was outside that cone was not supported, had to be pulled up by the glass above it which is much weaker and thus snapped off. With the cube you have a lot of corners that can snap off (especially because the hammer hits the cube at a very slight angle) which allows the hammer to weaken the cube until it eventually breaks catastrophically along millions upon millions of internal fractures. That being said, I doubt a sphere would hold up much better. 2 tons dropping 7 meters still contains a lot more energy than 100 kilos dropping 45 meters.

Try placing a leaf blower so it's pushing air past the front of one of the cameras, but a short distance away to see how much debris it can deflect away from the lens. If it works that would be great for the messy smashes where liquids get sprayed everywhere.
Many years ago when watching a Formula 1 race taking place in the rain, I spotted how they kept the tv camera lenses on the cars from getting raindrops on & spoiling things for the viewers - there was a fast spinning clear plastic disc in front of the lens, any water landing on it would be immediately spun off, so the camera could still see perfectly well. Another idea to keep in mind?
I'd like to see them have a dummy next to the hammer with the shock patches to see what kinda forces and damage would happen to a human body from the shrapnel and sheer explosive force. That'd be neat.
You should measure the speed for the hammer drop without hitting anything and compare it to the speed when it hits an object, just to see how much it slows down or how much resistance each item makes.

You guys might want to bring Richard back and hit some safes with the hammer
Absolutely a 10/10! And I have to say that Jack is really just crushing it with the whole video!
jack is the perpetual MVP (imo). he is really good with a camera.
I get it. He’s “crushing it” LOL
11:51 I love that slow mo of the hammer hitting the glass cube and seeing the entire thing shatter in a millisecond
It shatters way faster than a millisecond
@@thebeanmeister6046 both of you guys are wrong because I think he said it shattered in .201 milliseconds and if you round it, it is about 2 milliseconds
@@cesarpena8609 wait, how would .201 round to 2? Wouldn't it round to .2?
@@LincolnDWard isn’t that what I said
@@LincolnDWard oh shoot, your right.
I did say 2 and not .2!
Whoops 😬
You guys need to add the “well that’s not in one piece anymore” clip into every video from now on. It such a classic clip and will always be hilarious
I loved the spray paint cans slowy
That slowie of the paint explosion was just insane! Awesome work guys, thanks for the great video! 🧡💜💙
First of all, watching your stuff is always a nice way for me to de-stress after a long day, so thank you for all the great content! Second, I have only ever played Rocket League on PC, and I have a feeling even Rexy would beat me in the mobile version, but I'd still love to give it a try with you guys.
another epic viddy boys! anyone else see the ghostly face in the mirror @4:02??
Was about to post this. 😄
It looks like scream
Pensei que apenas eu havia percebido.
OMG the slowy of the spray paint cans was awsome, love how you can see the individual colors right through till the end fantastic..
You should have had some different colored lasers focused on that glass cube when it was crushed. That might have been even more epic! Great video!
Great idea!
Perfect start to your videos. No wasted time, straight into the action. Ppl click on the video to see a giant hammer smash stuff! Nice not having to wait 5 minutes to see it. Way to go boys
That slowmo with the spray cans is formidable!! 👏🏼🔥
Giant hammer vs glass ball!
And this is why we should play Rocket League Sideswipe together.
I do like it when they get editor jack more involved.. Hes such a big part of the team
I was sooo looking forward to the springs getting hammered! The fire extinguishers gave me an idea. Will the hammer put out a bonfire? Test it for us guys! Build one in a steel barrel and see if the hammer will put it out. 💥
An HR vid and sideswipe, can’t get any better! Hope I get picked! Love your stuff!
Anything that explodes with these guys is so good on the slowy
I'd like to see this thing obliterate the biggest, tube TV you can find! The implosions on those things are epic!
Also, how thick of a Line-X layer does it take for a watermelon to survive that?
Also, also, you should get another, thick, steel plate and place it on top of some stuff to see the hammer squash stuff between plates.
Yes. A watermelon with 8 coats of Line X should be fine
You should make a pickaxe and axe version of these
Can you guys make a giant nail/spike and hammer it through a massive stump, please??? Love ya guys
Rocket league is awesome and i really like playing it!! You all are even more awesome and i love all your vids!! Combine the 2 and thats just super cool!
I would love to see a 100% line-x cube or sphere. I think that would beat the hammer!
Its hard to make that. But a ball off Line x maybe?
This video was smashing
You guys are close to putting the Slow-mo Guys out of a job, loved that spray paint shot
Should nail 2 barrels with devils toothpaste ingredients at the same time, would combine in mid-air as it shoots out at sonic speeds in every direction and probably create one of the coolest effects ever, would probably look like a massive colorful slime wave would just materialize in a huge radius
1:36 Rexy's jaw dropped at that one!
Do a glass sphere next, you'll get some interesting results.
I love how they always do their absolute best just to make our days better.
When I saw the runtime I thought I was going to have to wait 10 minutes to get to the good part of the video
I wasn’t expecting them to actually get right to it
that’s an instant subscribe right there
I think it would be fun to see a giant ball swing into objects similar to how wrecking balls work. Itll be an interesting change from downward smashing.
Been watching your content for quite a while and would be awesome to play with you guys. I have over 4 thousand hours in rocket league and have managed to get into the top 0.1% of players, however, I’ve never touched sideswipe. Would be great to try it for the first time and likely fail miserably. Keep up the great entertainment!
Lets find out
Would love to see the hammer smash a giant block of dry ice.
Hey Guys! Love the video, just one request: could you smash a keg standing upright? It would be cool to see how it gets squished. Thanks so much for all the you do. It's so nice to be able to recommend a channel without hesitation. Great fun, nice people, all one can ask for!
Have a blessed Christmas (I know, a little late...) and a wonderful new year.
You guys keep pumping out great content every week. Keep up the great work guys! Can't wait to see what this thing does vs a bank safe.
When they say, “this will be on the store,” I can’t even tell if they’re joking or not anymore 😂
They’re not…
Suggestion...I'm sure you've heard of the hydraulic press channel and if so you have most likely seen paper being crushed. It'd be interesting to see if this hammer can do the same thing
Hammer a car/Motorcycle/Barbie Car/hot wheels/C4/Nitro/Garbage truck/Statue/
Police car with all the lights etc.
Don’t forget the crash dummies !
A crash dummy can be used to supplement any crush-like Rexey!
I recently had a job delivering those kegs to ancient pubs in the south east of England... Should try a 22gal fosters keg 😂😂 I love dropping those things down cellars
@@MADROXonTV yeah I dunno why they did it laying down
I've been to a pub in Ireland that was quite a bit older than the United States ( I'm American ) . I tripped out that I had to almost duck down to walk through a few of the doorways. The reason it was so weird, is because I'm not very tall, like 5'10 . Anyway yeah, that's my old pub story 😁
@@righty-o3585 some of the cellars are even lower 😂 there's one I delivered to that was 4 foot to the ceiling... I'm 6foot2.. it was not fun.. 😆
@@MaNNeRz91 lol I can imagine. The building itself was awesome though. Had a very large stained glass window store front. It still had the original bar surface and everything 🤘
@@righty-o3585 they are the best ones. It's nice to deliver to modern ones but the oldest pubs have the appeal.
When you're down some of the cellars you can almost imagine how the old timers did it. The kegs were huge back then too I don't know how they managed
hey mates, first of all- I´d like to thank you guys for giving me a huge smile every saturday while watching your videos back here in good old germany. i´ve watched every single one of them and enjoyed them as much as you would want anyone to enjoy your videos! Huge thank you!! and the reason why I wanna play against you and have that litte "Q&A session" is, that i am planing a long trip to australia for when the corona virus is not as present as it it currently on our planet and as a german guy i dont know (m)any australian dudes who could give me some good locations and advices for my journey. I would really appreciate it if you would choose me, but if not, it would be okay too. Keep on going as you are and also stay as you are!! Greetings from Germany! Philipp
Love you guys!!! Keep it up
ye
If you can ever get the Slow Mo Guys and the Hammer in the same place at the same time, you HAVE TO do that glass cube again + a big glass ball!
