Hey pat. Loved the vlog man. That is a really cool harmonica. I love the chromatic harps too. I used to have a Suzuki chromatic but it got stolen from me a few years back. Be well brother. Your friend from the wall of 🌽😎🤘🤘😎
Hey Pat, I heard your cries for help. Hahah😆 I love the looks of those old 64s. To answer a few questions, that line in the back of the comb is a big ol' crack in the wood from years of drying out/moisture. The other thing about the reverse reed plate thing, I think they just installed the slide backwards. You can't do that on the modern 64's but on these old ones you could. You can still do this on Hohner 270's which are still made today. I think this 64 might be from the 1950's or early 1960's just before they switched to the plastic combs and new design, but don't hold me to it. Overall, someone really beat up that harmonica, but it kind of looks cool like that. It won't be the best player, though.
Lol thanks Boaz 😂🤣😂. It is certainly an interesting piece for my collection. That makes sense about the slide. This thing has nails pounded into it all over lol…I think it looks cool with the 1-16 hole markers which looks kinda strange. For $25 I’m glad I found this 😀
@@dirtypatwalsh All of the wood combed versions of the 280 (64) Hohners have the holes marked 1-16 in case you want to find a more prestine one. They’ll most likely have cracked combs, though. Sometimes it’s fixable.
That’s really interesting…the 1-16 looks kinda weird I gotta say! Thanks for all the information Boaz! I think the next time I buy one of these I wanna make sure it’s playable. I kick myself every time I see the really nice one I have that I messed up lol. Cheers Boaz!✌️
Hi teacher, I hope you are well, between Larry Adler's 16-hole harmonica and Chromanica 280, which one would you recommend for someone who wants to play classical music?
Oh sorry, I read that wrong. I’ve not played the Larry Adler model. But I think the specs are the same on both harps…ultimately I simply don’t know but I’m sure either would do you very well.

@Boaz Kim Music can you email me at dirtypatwalsh@gmail.com? I have a couple questions for you. 😀
@@dirtypatwalsh Will do, Pat!

Personally I’d recommend the 16 hole over the 12 simply because you get another whole octave 😀. Classical! That’s pretty awesome!

thanks for your attention Sir
Both have 16 holes, which one do you think is more suitable?
