Just wanted to say that your vlog on the QM2 was amazing and really helpful in getting the best from a trip on the QM2. You are both very engaging and the simplicity and honesty of your review has made us book a trip. we are crossing from Southampton on the 19 Nov to New York and then causing around the Caribbean for 12 days then flying back from New York - thank you so much for all the work on your vlog!!
Oh wow, thank you so much for those kind words!!! We're so glad these vlogs were helpful and we hope you have an amazing trip. It sounds like it's going to be incredible!!
Your videos are excellent. You really captured the glam and fun of the gala night in your previous video. This past May we completed our 3rd Crossing on the QM2. It can be very addicting especially if you have the flexibility to take advantage of Cunard's "Cruising Soon" specials. While the QM2 is the most stable passenger ship in the world, even she can meet her match on the North Atlantic. We have found NOTHING better that candied ginger to prevent sea sickness. Chew some while going through the checkin process then every morning and every afternoon while on board. Looking forward to more videos from your voyage.
Thank you!! You're definitely right about it being addicting. The second we disembarked we were ready to go again!! We'll remember the ginger next time for sure. I definitely needed it 😂
Wow, I landed on your site because I'm doing the transatlantic trip from Hamburg to New York in May alone and before your videos I was like "yeah cool, lets see", now I can't wait to do everything you showed in the videos and I am so excited. Thank you so much! I really enjoy you both!
The seas had VERY high swells (5 meters I think?) for about 2 days so the ship was moving quite a bit. It's more noticeable on the bow and stern where the ship will naturally have more movement from the waves, so if you have trouble with sea sickness, aim to stay around the middle of the ship in rough seas. It's much calmer there!
Aww thanks!! These are day old curls that held up really well! I curled it with a small curling iron (I think 3/4 inch, maybe?). I curl small chunks starting away from my face and then alternating toward and away from my face. I have no rhyme or reason. I know that's not very helpful, but that's all I do! Then I pin the one side back and call it a day! For other days that it's more wavy, that's my natural wave/curl that I'm still trying to figure out. I really have no idea what I'm doing with it at this point, but I'm learning!
I honestly don't recall. It isn't something we looked for, but the drinks that we ordered to our room (ginger ale and diet coke) came in cans. I'm sorry we couldn't have been more help!
Thanks for your videos - we are looking forward to our 2024 cruise for 36 days. One question: my wife is a fanatic drinker of plain soda water (e.g., Perrier or other). Do you know if they sell that in the store(s), or I assume might stock our fridge daily if we request it?
I wish I had a better answer for you, but unfortunately, we didn't really look into drinks on board. We stuck to what was free since it was an easy expense to avoid. They do have drinks packages and one is a soda package. You could always inquire on board to see if plain soda water is included in that. I did read somewhere that drinks packages have to be bought within the first two days of sailing, so you may want to look into that early or within your first day on the ship. Sorry we couldn't be more helpful!
@@Jay-vr9ir More accurately the Atlantic crossings on the QM2 is a nostalgic cruise, tailored for those who miss or yearn to relive the begone days of crossings on ocean liners, and not to be stereotypical but these are usually old people lol, so maybe to most it's a snooze cruise but for those who enjoy history and traditions it's as fun as it can be (Just as kids cosplay movies and comics, think of these old folks as cosplaying the 1920s or something lol, neither is stuff I would do but hey whatever makes them happy). In fact, the whole reason QM2 came to be in the first place was because of 1997's Titanic movie by James Cameron, which greatly reignited the public's interest in Atlantic crossings by ships. The Carnival Cruise Line's boss, Micky Arison, saw this opportunity and bought the Cunard Line in 1998 which was struggling financially at the time, and later commissioned the newest and largest ocean liner to be built for just this purpose, it was designed by naval architect Stephen Payne and launched in 2003, what we know as QM2, which Payne affectionately called it "my baby", and freely admitted that QM2 is here only because of the Titanic, when he was giving a lecture on the topic of ocean liners and the Titanic in the College of Engineering in the University of Michigan in 2014. (I think this lecture is still on youtube somewhere)

We just had a trip on the QM2 in July and the Captains wife helped my husband figure out the laundry.
Awww that's so sweet!!

3PM??!! You should be in the Queen's Room having Scones with Jam and Cream and a Cup of Tea!
I know!!! 🤣 We ran ourselves ragged traveling through Wales before our crossing and it was definitely catching up to us!

We love hearing that!!! It's such a fun journey with SO much to do. We hope you have a wonderful time!!

We wish we were going with you!! We loved our time on board. Have a great trip!
I'm end of April. Safe travels.
How do you do your hair? Looks great in this video (and all of the videos I've seen)

@@AFoggyPath It looks SO good. I love your style!
🥰 thank you so much!!!
hello great video,do they sell bottled soft drinks in the shops?

Awesome vlog! What were the dates of your crossing, if I may ask?
Thanks! We sailed May 8-15 2022.
@@AFoggyPath Thanks!
You're welcome!
I very rarely feel motion sickness. The one real time I can remember was on a boat 🤢
I don't get it much either, but the times I have gotten it in recent memory were all on a ship. 😑
I want to know when you traveled and which stateroom you booked?
We sailed in early May (I think the 8th-15th) and our room was 4096. Hope that helps!
Choppy waves and seasickness = 🤮 hope you made it!
Whatever meds they gave me made me feel soooooo much better!
What did you buy?
Surprisingly very little! We bought a magnet and we each got a shirt.
So, shopping on the QM2 causes your mouth and voice to be out of sync?🤣😂🤣
The QM2 is sailing senior's home . The ultimate snooze cruise .
@@Jay-vr9ir those seniors partied way harder than we did 🤣
