Ive watched this kid since he played at Hawaii. Kid has a motor and he tackles very well and has good down hill closing speed on stopping the run. He just needs to learn behind someone and beef up and he can very well play a good rotational 3-4 scheme and substitution to add more pressure or added blitz pressure muasau has great building blocks for a fundamental traditional linebacker

I’ll take elite real world production over tenths of a second on a spreadsheet every day. He’s a sixth rounder folks. They all have some imperfections at this point.
it was a sixth rounder but with mahogany, wingo, leonard taylor, malik washington and johnny wilson still available i think this is a terrible pick, not a terrible player but not the right pick.

His film is real solid. His play recognition is impressive. We can second guess this whole draft but we will see how it turned out in a couple years.

I'll give the draft a B+ A- grade. First 3 picks are starters. The next ones are rotational or special teams and our special teams was suspect at best last year.
Combine the draft with free agency and we might be okay this year

Grade B. Smart, solid pick. Special Team starter. Experienced linebacker, excellent tackler. Quality backup LB. Leadership qualities. Not expected pick, but ST & backup LB are always areas of need.
Having watched Darius Muasau for two years at UCLA, I expect that he will be a productive player for the Giants. No, he is not a freak of nature athlete... But he's got a high motor, a lot of heart, and a relentless drive to make the tackle. He plays smart and disciplined....and he wants to learn his craft.
Whats Muasau lacks in athleticim, he makes up for in instinct/anticipation. True leader on the field too! Watched this kid coming out of Hawaii! Expect him to be a young leader on ST's & compete to get on the field with the defense.
Can't ask for more out of a 6th rounder. Solid move
i want the giants to sign a guard then get a swing tackle and honestly mekhi becton seems like a good fit only downside is he gets hurt a lot just put him in the swing so he’s getting fewer snaps

This one was an old school pick , but feeling pick , why not it’s a Round 6 , best case he’s pro bowler/starter worst case he’s an average back up to give starters a break .
Wrong, worst case is he's worthless and out of the league before the season starts. Best case is probably average backup.

Appreciate the detailed scouting report. Never heard of him before. I'm guessing that he may play "rover" in our new defense, or simply be a special teamer. Can't be upset with any pick this late in the draft. Overall, this was a good draft class. 3 likely starters is a decent haul!

A. Since the Giants decided to address QB next year, we needed a WR1, CB2 and a Safety. They did this with 3 great picks and then filled the last 3 picks in areas of need. We got $ coming now that Waller is gone. Not sure who will be UFA yet or best available Free Agents, but they should add a DL, DB and we massively improved. We need think of this as a 2 year plan. Next year at this time i think we get to a threat!

I remember when the Giants selected Lorenzo Carter and seeing him be so slow to read the game. Darius isnt as athletic as Lorenzo but he reads the game very quickly. I like the pick and give the draft a B.
I'll take it! Special teams ACE who can consistently tackle returners in the open field on punts, who has a nose for forcing fumbles, and who can be a backup on defense for those reasons. Hey, we got Trey Hawkins last year in round 5... turned out ok!

Think it was a good draft as a whole as we filled holes and didn't reach on picks. My problem with the Giants is there thinking is always that there qbs they draft have to be 6'2 and above and Caucasian. I really think they have a thing about getting a Black, mixed or whatever qb. I think Williams or Daniel's were the only worth going up for ,not Maye. Also Jones ,Lock , Devito , just ain't cutting it ,why waste Nabers and even Hyatt. I guarantee Travis and Milton will be better than them and we could have gotten them late and the guys we got could have been got in free agency , confused why there wasn't an effort to help that position.
Production counts. Zach Thomas was 5' 11" and a second-round choice. He worked out pretty well.

He will at least be a special teams guy. Giants Special teams coached him at the East-West Shrine game and targeted him.

Denver was only rumored to be exploring that out of their desperation to get a new high ceiling QB. It was never confirmed by Denver's FO that they were willing to do it either just a report the media conjured up. Even if its true though, at this point and now that the draft is over who could the Giants offer..Tommy Devito? I think you know that's not gonna go anywhere.

Every time I look up I see the Eagles, or some other smart team trade up and make really great high ranking value picks while the Giants always pick bozos in the later rounds.
I dont like this pick we needed right offensive tackle and offensive right gaurd
This whole draft is about stopping the run. If we stop the run, we can win 6 games a year at minimum. We gotta stop the cowboys run game, stop Jalen hurts and Barkley, stop the commanders run game bc Jayden daniels can run too, he’s been on point in terms of trying to beat our rivals. He’s making up for last year and the lackluster Evan Neal pick. Probably didn’t go linemen bc he was worried he would get bashed for a bad line pick.

Don't bag on it. David Tyree was one of those, late round Special Teams guy... even made the Pro Bowl as the NFC ACE. Turns out, the guy made arguably the best catch in Superbowl history.
