  • San Jose, California. This hotel was nice! They were able to check me in early, about 8 hours! The room was nice. A little smaller then I expected, but the window going from the floor to the room was a nice touch. Normally, Hiltons have 2 or 3 public restaurants in the Lobby, but this one only had a Starbucks, and the other restaurant was for room service. There was a wedding in one of the banquet/meeting rooms, so I couldn't film those, and I didn't want to intrude. The elevators are Montgomerys installed in 1992, just before the Montgomery/KONE buyout. You can tell by the blue indicators in the Lobby. They may have been modernized slightly by KONE, just by replacing the COP. You can tell by the fact that the new COP is bolted to the original COP back panel, and it has an ACME indicator, not the normal Monty Blue. The executive lounge was nice, and the breakfast was amazing, better then a normal hotel breakfast. Also, the pool and fitness center is located on the 3rd floor.

Did you record a dedicated video of the elevator? If so, it appears you didn't upload it, unless it is in your backlog. When I was here, all floors were unlocked.

Can the telephone be removed from the table or is it bolted on? I'm looking to set something up on that table next weekend so I must know. Thanks.
