I love the redesign, but I have to say Pinkie being an Earth Pony always made sense to me. Like, a pegasus or a unicorn doing pure nonsense wouldn't be nonsensical enough because they canonically have magic.
I like Pinkie Pie as an Earth Pony. All those crazy abilities she has (defying physics, breaking the fourth wall, etc.) are funnier in contrast to the fact that she's just a pony with no wings or magic.
If I remember its because the original character was Surprise like how Rainbow Dash used to be intended g4 Firefly. Flutters was an earth pony because she was going to be Posey g4 edition
I used what's called a Triad color scheme in color theory to bring attention to where I wanted it to be in her design. Since pink is her base color (a version of red), I used turquoise as my type of blue and some yellow. Green would have required an entirely different color scheme (called Complimentary) and had too much contrast for the feel that I was trying to achieve with this look. But if you create your own version, I'd be happy to see it!
Well I mean...everyone in her family is drab-colored and named after different rocks (though always with Pie on the end; there's a Marble Pie), so I guarantee you Pinkie was named Pinkie _because_ she was all bright pink. If they'd broken up her monochrome palette too much, she would have ceased to be Pinkie Pie. She could have been _Punkie_ Pie and gotten away with a similar personality, and that would have allowed her coloration to be absolutely insane - but that might have required the show to be aimed at a slightly older audience, since teenagers are the ones most into the punk culture.
I personally really enjoy your visual reimagining of Pinkie. It's more varied visually and just "pops" better than two tones of pink with a couple dashes of color although the clustering on the braid on her head in a sort of "cornrow" way seems visually confused to me, like you were starting with one idea for her mane, then went in a dramatically different direction. It's kind of the same in the tail--the braid doesn't feel integrated--but it's not as severe as a sudden, sharp switch from flat to massive. As an author more than an artist, when I reimagine a character I reimagine in the direction of the character themselves. Backstory, personality, peculiarities, oddities, quirks, powers, and the other things that create the "story" of a character. Because I know someone IRL who's "always on stage" in the way that Pinkie is (cheerful, boisterous, energetic, always seems to be putting on a show for an audience only they know about), I tend to tone her down slightly because my perspective is that within the show universe, there's instances where Pinkie Pie's "always on stage" personality is a bit too oblivious, inconsiderate, and even a little unkind for a character represented as everyone's friend, who knows everyone in town, and who celebrates them with unfeigned enthusiasm. The larger fandom community associates what they call the "Pinkamena" side of her personality as depressed, morose, and even in certain stories an evil serial killer in the back of her head but to me, Pinkie turned down from a 20 to a mere 5 is too good an opportunity for reimagining to be left just laying there so the straight-mane Pinkie is the part of being a friend when Pinkie gives a hug and encouragement rather than an explosion of loud party--because sometimes, that's the best way to be a friend.
I based her hair style on styles I'd seen IRL and loved the contrast between the braids and curls as a way to bring attention to her face. It's cool to see an author's take on Pinkie! Well done!

Imagine Pegasi Pinky having a cloud cutiemark....with a cone on top? It could work as an upside icecream cone AND a party hat! And also, I really liked the Re-imagining!
I love it a lot but i do like the og Pinkie Pie more i would leave it as it i always thought the design was fine but i really like the one you came up with it looks amazing
What I think she should’ve made a little more Chibi attributes I think that would give a lot more cuter aesthetic and made her eyes a small bit bigger I think pinks has a sweet hearted girly side to to her that is refreshing to see I wish pinks had a puzzle peace and one of her balloons and keep it to three balloons and some confetti and the puzzle pice could represent the Disability community it’s just my take but I love your style

Honestly they should of changed fluttershy into a earth pony and pinky pie as a Pegasus I mean it makes scene fluttershy doesn’t really use her wings a lot and she speaks with animals feels like she should be a hearth pony but with pinky pie with a bubbly kind of character I feel like she will be a Pegasus.

Personally with a lot of bronies headcannons, including mine. Pinkie is just mlpfim’s deadpool. I see a lot of people give her wings but honestly I think she’s best as an earth pony. Her random abilities she has are unique to her alone and not throughout the others. Even cheese sandwich can’t do those things she does. Her secret superspeed (evidence being able to immediately be in RDs presence multiple times even after she flew away fast and furious style) She has super memory She can change her anatomy at will And we all swear she cannot be killed She’s one of a kind and I feel like making her anything other than an earth pony kinda takes away what we love about her
Tbh, Pinkie Pie was never any of my favorite characters. Mostly because her personality got a little too hyper and annoying, and kinda of because pink is a color I don't appeal to. However, this re-imagined version is much more pleasing to eye. Lowkey like this better then regular Pinkie Pie lol
I personally think the design is interesting however the haircolor is not working. Pinkie has such a bright and colorful character having her hair be such a dulled out pink is kind of gross. Also the absolute neon Blue streak is very unappealing. The rest of it’s OK but I really do prefer the original color palette a little bit more. I’m pretty sure instead of using the blue if they had just given a yellow streak instead and made it more of a pastel yellow maybe this new design would look OK.
Okay, I originally thought you were making her act like Kardashian's Caucasian butt with the box braids yet I would recommend doing more research since there is more of a full or top-covering braid than one tiny strand on the tail and three rows on the head without implication of braids on the other side in human practice. I know intentions are good, it still looks whitewashed as a minority.

Oh I like this version of pinkie pie and yeah turquoise is one way to pop out but why not aqua green on the eyes or on the mane?
