This is one of my most grandiose transcriptions, took a lot of work and glad to be able to share it with you all! Sheet music trivia (first to answer correctly gets PDF & MIDI): Name the three otherworldly creatures which makes their appearance in this video!
It's Oscar Peterson, NHØP, and Barney Kessel. I actually have a recording of a NHØP concert, that one of my friends recorded. It has never been published. Also, he has made some intereresting recordings of standards. Eg. St. Thomas with a Danish pianist: ruclips.net/video/VYLqsFPQGYc/видео.html.
In my neighborhood there was an elderly Hungarian piano teacher, Paul de Marky, who had been the student of a guy who had been a student of Franz Liszt. Oscar was one of de Marky's students so you could say his technique goes back to the great central European romantic pianists.
That’s actually insane, Liszt was the foremost piano master of his era for one and he also was very good at improvising. Maybe Oscar Peterson is Liszt reincarnate 🤣
I think it is more likely that l'll learn one day how the Egyptians built the Pyramides or how alien spacecraft works than I will grasp how you can put this down on paper, let alone figure out how one person was capable of playing this (and he didn't even let it all hang out on this one). Thank you, as usual for Oscar, this is full of licks and lines, worth getting under your belt
Thank you!!! This is probably the best single piece to show off the epitome of Peterson's style. Also, it was way before his stroke in 1993, and this his left hand part is very well fleshed out!
the amount of effort you pour into transcriptions like this is such a testament to your love for it!! this is why you're my favorite transcription channel :)
YOU ARE THE NOW DEMONSTRABLY PROVEN, UNDENIABLE TRANSCRIPTION KING OF KINGS, MR. GONDOLA!! MIC DROP, GAME OVER, GO HOME ALL SUCKA M.C.’s!!! TIMMY G. IS IN THE MUHFUH BUILDIN’!! 🤘😝🤘
(English is not my native language, so I hope I'm clear enough 😅) First video I see in this channel, I can't read notes, but I play (amateur) by ear, I REALLY enjoyed listening, and I could almost visualize where my hand should go next - by looking at your transcript. It's amazing. Thank you! How much time did it take you to create it?

Oscar Peterson, Niels Pederson, Barney Kessel?
Good guess but not quite ;)
