- Join me on my trip to the wonderful Barry Island Pleasure Park owned by the legend Henry Danter, Loved this place so much and I had an incredible few hours with a decent ride count, I didn't ride everything but did plenty, The amount of machines in this park is unreal.. Every space is occupied.
Just want to thank Henry, The staff, Perrin and Roseanne from PWS for the free rides and hospitality - Felt so welcomed by all and a mention to Ian the Top Scan man.
So headed down to Barry on my way home from Porthcawl and wanted to check out some of the machines including The Gravitron, Top Scan, Thunderbolt Waltzer, Log Flume, Ghost Train, Frogs and Roller Coaster and much more... All located on the beautiful Welsh coast of Barry where the only thing missing was Gavin & Stacy! Check out Barry for an action packed day of family and thrill rides and a wonderful town and beach, I could of stayed for another few hours with the big wheel, Twist, Dodgems, Jets, Matterhorn and Mexican Hate rides all still to do.

Barry Island Pleasure Park is an amusement park situated on the coast at Barry Island in the Vale of Glamorgan, about 10 mi (16 km) south west of the capital city Cardiff, Wales. The park opened annually at weekends from Easter onwards and daily during the school summer holidays, until the first weekend in September.
Barry Island contains shops, bars and restaurants. The Pleasure Park was once famous for its Scenic Railway which dominated half of the site in the mid-20th century, but was partially destroyed in a gale in 1973 before being dismantled. Many of the scenic railway's beams were used in the building of the Log Flume ride,[1] which was one of the park's most popular attractions.
The Pleasure Park has over thirty attractions and rides. However lack of investment in the park resulted in the majority of these being removed, notably the Viper rollercoaster and the Log Flume. Park entrance is free of charge.
Several Amusement arcades are located around the pleasure park.
Barry Island Pleasure Park is part owned by Ian Rogers, who ran Welsh discount chain Hypervalue before it ran into financial difficulties. In 2006, Hilco UK Ltd who specialise in dealing with failing retail businesses assumed control of the ailing Hypervalue group and commenced disposing of various Hypervalue stores and settling accounts with the many creditors. Mr Rogers now owns part of the reorganised group, renamed Hypa Xtra.[2] The park was operated by showman Vernon Studt between 2010 and 2014 under a lease from the joint owners.

Great vlog, nice to see the crazy frog again was a firm favourite of mine in it's Scottish days built & pulled it down plenty times.
That is a nice top scan if you want to see one being dismantled look for Loughborough fair pack down extreme top scan it’s a very interesting process
Lovely to see you in Barry Island, I'm from Cardiff and was there last week, lovely fair ground, it's a shame they knocked the Butlins down which was next to fair, brought in a lot of people from all over.

Henry danter has just ordered a kmg speed 32. Airborne as it's known around Europe. It's curr being built in the factory in Holland for the 2022 season. All info is from the official kmg ride fb page

Just saw UK Theme Parks vlog on Barry Island last night, lots of stuff there! Lovely vintage Ghost Train, 6:29 that "roar" sound FX is from Roller Coaster Tycoon's Circus 1 and was the lion roaring in the ride!! Played that game SOOOO many times I know the sounds well, lol, I'm such a geek! Crazy Frogs is a Safeco Jump n' Smile, Nice coaster, I'd have a go on that! That's a Jackson Waltzer, nice machine too. Great log flume, very similar to the Gt Yarmouth one. Wisdom Rides Gravitron, they are AWESOME wish there were more in the UK, they go faster then rotors. The centrifugal force causes the platforms on the walls to lift up once top speed kicks in, I must say it didn't last very long! PWS Supertrooper and a nice one too! A later model Tivoli Orbiter and a Mondial Top Scan, rather you then me! Bertazzon "New York" and "Racer" dodgems at the end there, those jets are pretty old but I've got no idea who made them, great vlog as always!

I just got back last week.
I just posted and bodged a quick video on my channel of my stay..
The Weather was good and had a good time,
The log flume was my favourite ride I think..
But for a family to go on the rides together, as a family unit"
I think it's a bit expensive, but I will definitely go again as I liked it and the people are great too👍

It's a long way but you should do a family trip to great Yarmouth Norfolk one of the oldest coasters in the country,best Dodgems,new thrill ride only one in the world,ghost Train,waltzer,twister, pirate ship, disko,2 spinning coasters,best log flume plus more it's also something to do with Clarence pier I think. 😁

They always make the videos so much better by their banter lol well at least you had fun by yourself , maybe next time "the crew or capsicum join ya on such an adventuring weekend...nice older American gravitron ride , not as fancy as the newer versions but still an American classic...floors don't go down but seats slide up
