- Kevin Raber takes you for a tour of the Phase One XT 150mp camera system. This is an amazing camera and in a class by itself. It's expensive and it's for a certain kind of photography as well as photographer. Even if you will never purchase a camera system like this I hope you'll find this video a good introduction to its capabilities. The image quality from this camera must be seen to be appreciated.

This is the best video of this camera in the internet
Good presentation Kevin. I appreciate the quality in Phase One gear. Your comment about frame averaging has peaked my curiosity. I would like to know more about that feature. I always enjoy your reviews. It is also good to see Michael working his video magic.
Glad it was helpful!
This is cool stuff, if I win the lottery I would just buy it for it's objective artistic value.
Thanks so very much!!!
A really useful overview, than you so much! I own an XF camera and attended a live presentation of the XT when it came out; but yours is excellent, professional and detailed. I lived in Indy for a number of years, but now in Europe haven’t been there since 2019. It was also lovely to see the downtown area too. Best wishes
As a forest landscaper I took serious consideration over this - but lack of weather proofing made me pass - I had to go Fuji GFX 100 and whilst i feel compromised after spending 40yrs + as a commercial photographer - I just can't risk foggy, misty drizzly mornings with this - Hasselblad 907x was passed over for the same reasons
I hear you. I carried a lot of plastic bags and towels with me when using the camera.
Good point. Why doesnt it have whether proofing as its meant or landscape too right? have you tested Hasselblad X2D? thank you
@@tjmanou6422 Same story - brilliant camera - but no weather sealing - I used to have the X1D - it is a better camera all round for me - lighter than the GFX, simpler, more portable and better colours out of the box onto the computer - but any moisture and its a no-no - so I feel a little let down having been a studio commercial tog for so long and Hass all the way through with a bit of foray into 10x8/5x4/Fuji GX680 III (sublime) and a touch of RZ6x7
very nice review. I love to take time to shoot photos. This camera is perfect to slow down and think about your composition. The price is big point, but you get a lot of camera for a lot of money. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
It's a wonderful camera and the files are incredible but it is work and it is very expensive.
Luv the Phase One IQ4 and XT/XF cameras -- one wonders when/if the XFG will be updated to "today's" AF - so no more lift focus and dipping.
The two rotary adjustments look like they control view camera-like rise/fall and slide movements, but not tilt. Thus, the existing adjustments shouldn’t have much control over keystone correction, correct?
Great review! What was the viewfinder app you were referring to?
Nice review Kevin, which app are you using on the iPhone for previewing different lens ?
Hi, thanks for the nice presentation.A little question to you,if you have a phase one XT system camera is there any need to add also a Phase One XF camera?
Great Video as usual. What is the viewfinder app you use specifically for these FX and XT camera and lenses? Thanks!!
Great review. Which viewfinder app did you use to determine focal lenth?
I don't think one buy's a Ferrari to slow down, but I get the metaphor. It's a modern day viewfinder camera for high commission commercial photographers.
Well done presentation! Did you take it to the Palouse?
This year on my trips I had three people with the XT system. I didn't take it this year but have in the past.
XF is NOT a rangefinder style camera. It’s a DSLR!
hmm no mention of sensor size?
It’s a massive medium format sized sensor. 54 x40.5mm
This camera is ideally for intense studio work with a distant break even horizon. Buying it for anything else is for people, who don't know where their money come from. No auto focus, no video, no removable cards, these are insane limitations considering the price. No image resolution is worth that investment. You can get close with Hasselblad for a fraction of the price, if you need to photograph critical products. But of course - I have witnessed loaded idiots buy a Lamborghini, just to show off, and trash it within a week. This camera serves the same category of brand-Brians.
The XF is NOT a rangefinder, but a DSLR. Research is apparently is not your thing.
VERY stupid that a too expensive camera like that do not have an EVF, it tells in your video how difficult you have to see the monitor in the sunlight !
I think I clearly explained all of that. The camera is not for everyone. Many people have a Hoodman magnifier which fits over the rear screen really well.
@@KevinRaber Well, we have year 2023, not 1923, so for the price of that camera an EVF could easy be included !
The majority of the Market of the Phase One shoot Tethered , so its connected to a Laptop/Monitor. 150 megapixel you need Tack Sharpness something a EVF will not display until 2050, so who is "VERY Stupid".
FOR TODAY IS TO BIG😅
Yeah, kind of hard to justify. Phase One didn't adapt to the market very well.
Unreliable system, be sure to bring 2 to a job
wasting a nice camera on nap town craptown

it's not a promo as much as a review. I got paid zero.
