The guy playing the long horn-like instrument that makes the "frog" sound (lol) is Daphyd Sens and he's playing a triple-slide didgeridoo. Love your channel Heline!
Celtic music enchants me 🇮🇪🏴🇪🇸🇵🇹🏴
They are a neoceltic band based out of the Netherlands.
Steve Sic plays many types of woodwinds and flutes. His wife Jenny plays harp. The style of music that they perform is a cross between rock music and pagan folk music. Omnia has quite a following in Europe. They are from the Netherlands. The odd instrument with the deep, primal timbre sounds is an Australian wood instrument called a didgeradoo and that particular one has been modified so that it is played like a trombone. Check out "Alive" on RUclips for another treat by Omnia or watch an Omnia Castle Fest concert. You won't be disappointed, Heline.
I recommend Saltatio Vita from this band - also very heavy on the flutes! I would definitivly love a reaction to this song.
Richard Parker's Fancy is another great song by them.
Next to the Didgeridoo there is the "Slide-Didgeridoo", where you can change the length of the tube to get different notes. Depending on the digeridoo, you can blow overtones.
Hi Heline!🦄 that was a blast! I'm definitely listening to more of them! For sure I can see you and Elvann up on stage jamming with them! So cool! Thank you!
You should definitely listen to them playing "Saltatio Vita". Amazing!
The instrument you are curious about is a triple-slide didgeridoo. I never heard of this band but I'm glad you checked them out. I really like them and will check them out myself.
Hello there, I love your reaction! First time visitor. If you're a progessional flutist, you should definitely check Saltatio Vita from Omnia. It's from the same show.
Very enjoyable. Thanks.
Actually there is 2 tin whistles, C D glued together, and he switches it
Earlier Omnia had a lot of stuff like this. If you like this, check out their earlier albums. Later on, they became more eco-themed, and more musically diverse. Their later albums are also interesting, but very different from a lot of their earlier work. "Pagan Folk" and "Alive" are probably two good albums for you, with just about everything off of Alive being great stuff for getting into the band.
should definitely check out Saltatio Vita by Omnia then, top stuff :)
Try look at Omnia - Etrezomp Ni Kelted @ Castlefest 2016 ... Harpe ish.. :) LIke your channel.. :)
1 year ago, so I am sure you found it: No Didgeridoo it's a Slideridoo, as far as I know
cool!
Didn't know about them, but I will certainly listen more. Thanks! The instrument is didgeridoo, nothing else sounds like that. Haven't heard one used as a band instrument quite this way. Interesting. It looks as he has a slide in it, to change the key. That would make sense in band use.
