I had to take a music technologies class as a degree requirement. Before then, I had won 3rd in the state in a competition for composition, so I thought that class would be a breeze. From the start, I didn't take the class seriously, but quickly it would hit me that electronic artists are really serious musicians. Mad respect to DJs, this shits really tedious and takes a lot of time.

A producer djing with edits that start at the build up is not the same as a dj beat matching and playing long blends that are smooth. Nice work, just pretty easy to do live especially when you have built the set in Ableton. DJing a set live that you have no idea what song you are going to play in 3 songs is a challenge. Still impressive to watch.

I'm an improv DJ and play with full tracks,producers can't do that becuase the crowd would be bored. 2nd drops only edited to just the 2nd drop. I watch this on a big pc monitor not a little phone. Very easy to see.

Crazy how different this is from the way I DJ. Very high pressure, technical, drastic tempo changes. I just try to pick a new track that flows out of the old track as seamless as possible and blend as smooth as I can. Let the tracks tell their own stories
