I came across Gateway Frisco campus about a year before Preston left for Scottsdale. I quickly felt a connection to him and his teachings. Southlake was my primary campus but I always looked forward to when Preston spoke at the Southlake campus. In fact, my family believes there was a tear in my eye when it was announced that he was leaving the area to lead the Scottsdale campus, although I was excited to see what God had instore in Preston's life. I wish him the best of luck in all of his ventures and the selfish side of me wants him to return to the DFW area. Preston is one of the greatest pastors that I have ever had the honor to listen to in person.
I have attended Gateway since July of this year. I feel the presence of God so strongly in the music, Rooted classes, prayers spoken over me, connections made, conversations shared and in the sermons spoken. To me, the name Pillar Church defines the roles in life precisely. Pillars: relational, emotional, physical, financial, spiritual and professional. Thank you for this courageous change. Really an admirable guy. I'm no longer Christian, but I still admire this man. Many people have a problem with Gateway for whatever reasons theological, political, and cultural, but Pastors Preston Morrison, Tim Ross, Robert Morris, and Marcus Brecheen are none of them. These people are in good hands.
I am so excited for you Pastor Preston and Pillar Church. I had the privilege of attending Gateway Scottsdale for 6 months when my husband's job brought us to AZ. I totally relate to having two locations/ families that you love. I was not looking for it but it happened all the same and am so glad that it did. The Lord told me in October that this is a year of developing Pillars in my life . I was watching The Leader's Cut where you presented the example of the one legged man and how Empowered his life could be when the 6 Pillars surround stand strong. I felt the weight of the Lord rest heavily on my chest and then He spoke. He told me to dedicate a year to partnership with Him as He leads me in the building of all 6 Pillars. He had me start in November with the Spiritually Pillar and I am to dedicate 2 months to each Pillar. I know this will take discipline and focus. I am ready to follow wherever He leads me in this journey. I will say it again I am so grateful for your obedience to the Lord Pastor Preston. Your example has inspired such changed my relationship with God. We are closer now that we have ever been. Thank you for being so transparent. I am praying for you and for Pillar.
Saturday night I was filled with so much pride and am honestly so humbled and honored to be apart of this church and be under your covering. Thank you for faithfully leading and I can’t wait to see what the following years and decades hold

And seeing all this happen for you and your twin at the same time makes me smile since I'm sure you two would have been commiserating with each over what can be said publicly and when and what God is doing in your lives behind the scenes. So now that all this is out, it's just funny to me because I wonder what's coming next and I'm not even a member of your church. But you've been an instrumental part of my own growth, so I'm praying with you all over here in my neck of the woods.

In regards to question #6. . .I was watching the live stream from Gateway Dallas that day when Pastor Robert announced he was going to name his successor. My heart froze in that moment because I thought it might be you. I was so relieved when he announced it was going to be James! 😅 Losing you and Holly right now would certainly shake my world. I am so grateful for both of you. Why does one ask for things when praying? Does the Holy Spirit not already know what we need? We have no idea what to pray for, we just repeat what we learned. Be still, let the Holy Spirit pray for you and then know God.
I know you probably don’t remember me but you gave me a prophetic word and it proved to come to pass. I needed a WORD so bad idk I just needed a word so bad and you picked me. You said I was going to go second but the Holy Spirit told you to pick me first and not make me wait and you told me that weight would be off my shoulders and I would go into run in the next season. I took a new role and my first full year I won the company trip. Your word was timely thanks but Preston, what about now? Did this age well? Did you know the 35 year old crime and the cover up? But someone like me who knows nothing about you and saw your instagram page and was doing some research on you did click this video because there is a skeptical view of leaders and pastors this day in age because many of us in the church have been hurt and burned by pastors or even those heavily “influential” ones on line. So it’s not at all unhealthy to learn about a pastor because many of us have had our trust rocked. So, you’re just changing the name of your church… but you did get my click, because no, I don’t think we are at a place to assume the best when the worst of leaders have caused so much hurt.
