I have learned so much from you over the years, Kimmy. I learned about all the foods that can be frozen (no more wasted food), I learned how to log the pantry inventory, shop for deals, make money stretch and how to properly prep for my family's needs. Thank you so much!!
Unfortunately the Gilbert, Arizona WinCo no longer sells Sanderson Farms chicken, which is my favorite. The meat department man said there was a contract issue with Sanderson Farms. It's great that you are able to buy in Utah.
by the way; your haircut... looks sooooooooo cute on youuuuu!! the cut brings out your natural beauty! love it! I have been wanting to tell you that for a while xx blessings
Thanks for sharing. I'm going to check my kroger. I live in the Detroit area. It was my assumption that once I used the digital coupon and say I got 3 items I couldn't go back another time and get 2 more. Thanks for brining that to my attention. Blessings.
Great tips! Because I have a full pantry, I only buy when it's on sale. So I'm not buying when I need it but instead when it's at the lowest price. I like to compare prices online. So we have Kroger and Meijer grocery stores near me to name a few. So I logon and can check prices for the week. Buying now will always be best because I'm afraid these prices are not going down. Dollar is being dethroned and losing purchasing power. Another thing my grocery offers is a membership for 59.00 per year. Sounds ridiculous but, I get free deliveries and double fuel points. Works for me because I just became rural (yay!!) and I'm over an hour round trip from the grocery. Check your stores to see if they offer something similar. Thanks so much and get stocked folks :)
Watching your videos have helped me with saving $$. I mostly shop the coupon deals at kroger and stock up if it's a good deal. Past few weeks I have saved $50+ every week.
I loved this video. I loved how you literally walked us through step by step. Thank you. I was curious...do you meal plan and then shop sales or meal plan after you see sales??
Hello Kimmy! Lisa Croft here, just wanted to thank you for the idea of a planner.. Just got my first one with a bunch of stickers that my husband and daughter bought me.. It is an 18 month one and starts july first. can't wait to get going!!!!!
Change the time of day or day that you go. Find the lull in people so you aren't rushed at the register. Ask when their vendors are in for produce so you can get that great watermelon.
You are very lucky to get those low prices, because the prices where we live in Alberta Canada are at least double. We also don't have those bulk food sales either. Lowest our butter sales are 5;88 each. A package of chicken boneless chicken breasts here, are over 20.00 for a package way smaller than the ones you show. Ice cream's lowest sale price is 3.97. Our cheese is horrendously expensive.. WE dob't have Sam's club, Aldi's etc. here either. Sure wish we did.
Thank you for sharing how we can save money on groceries, I just paid less at Costco for 2 pack of Miracle whip at $8.69 compared to Sam's Club price of $8.72. I know it's not much but it can add up fast. I have been comparing prices at different grocery stores to always get more for my money .
My issue is my food problem is being gluten-free, vegan, plant-based, but my mom and husband eat regular. Especially in my area. We have HyVee, Walmart SuperCenter, Woodman's, Aldi's, people's food co-op, and festival foods. We live in La Crosse,WI. We shop in La Crosse,WI and Onalaska,WI. I still don't understand with how to set up the lists. We have Sam's Club but I don't have a membership.
Great video! And great savings! BTW, Sam's Club also sells that Fried Dill Pickle Dip in case your Costco ever runs out. I also recently found that they (Sam's) sell their rotisserie chickens already quartered and packaged in the section with the "ready-to-heat" meals. They were only $3.98. Already cut up and $1 cheaper than the rotisserie ones? I got 2 (one package had 5 quarters in it)! And no waiting in line for the hot ones.
Love your videos Kimmy 😊 I do miss your motivational Monday videos and housewife life style vlogs though, any chance we will see more of this style of content any more or is the channel gearing towards more food and saving style content? Thanks 😊
I shop weekly for things like milk, yogurt, and just things that we forgot. When there are big sales on meat I stock up . My husband works at Walmart so if we need a loaf of bread or I thought about something I wanted he will grab it. Otherwise we have a fairly large pantry I’m working on. I saw the cereal deal at Sam’s Club but I had recently stocked up at CVS for 1.99 a box . It was tempting 😂😂 good job as always ♥️
Here's a question. On mayo, salad dressings, and other condiments do you use past the date? We're debating and concensus is check by container and case by case basis. Sour cream a week past date if not off color or smells, etc.
I am wondering if you keep the grocery money in a separate account rather than all monies in one account. Many, many years ago I watched a few people that had several different bank accounts for their budgeted money. I adopted that process of budgeting and it has been a great benefit to keep my food, mortgage/house expenses (so it does not get swallowed up by other spending I may have forgotten about) and "savings" account for things that come up i.e. car repairs, home repair, random unexpected things that come out of left field. So specifically, when you talk about your food budget of $800-$1000 a month - Do you put it into a separate bank account just for food and if you don't hit it, meaning you don't spend that much - Do you roll over the money that was not spent to be available for a month you may go over the allotted food budget? In the past, after many times of paying by check for things like school or scout fundraisers etc and then they don't cash the check for like a month and I had forgoten about it and it overdrafts my account or leaves less than I thought I had, I separated my important house expenses and opened a separate (checking) bank account and then each paycheck transfer the needed portion (total of bills divided by number of paychecks) to cover the bills for the month so they are untouched and will cover the whole payment without scrambling to make ends meet and worry. I may have to scrimp and readjust food or misc/entertainment/takeout expenses but I know my house bills will be covered.
We have our price point for many items when they are on instant rebate at Costco. So when the mayo goes on instant rebate for $4 off I will buy several. And we just rotate what the rebate items are and stock up on those so we aren't buying full price and it easily brats a regular store sale price
You're so organized! Just one thing: As far as I know you can only use the Kroger coupons during one transaction. So for the cottage cheese, you'd need to get all 5 at once because you can't go back another time to use the same coupon.
I’m not sure if Kroger in all areas do this but, if I have clipped the coupon in my Kroger app and use it once and it says for up to five, it will list how many more times I can use it.
Hi there. I have wanted a freeze dryer also. Not sure if you know Harvest Right has a layaway program. I waited for a big sale on their freeze dryers, then put down a deposit and locked in the price.
So, regarding all the items that require refrigeration, they certainly won’t fit into your fridge….. do you have 3 or 4 extra ones somewhere or maybe a walk in cooler? How many freezers do you have. How do all those units impact your electric bills? Your pantry is huge so it makes sense to stock up on shelf stable food. Sorry, but I really can’t relate to your food purchases as the houses here in New England are generally not big enough to contain all the food you buy- not even close. I applaud your savings plans for shopping! Yes I do?😊 From New Hampshire, Patricia 👵🏻🤗
I don't understand the price book. Prices change so frequently and you still need to look online or ads to see if they are on sale...canned tomatoes at 99 cents won't be 99 cents come two weeks later necessarily
I notice you buy a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and wondered what you do to make sure they don’t go bad before you can eat them all throughout the month.
How come u don’t grow ur veggie to save money. It’s a lot of saving growing. & ur herbs they even small space green stalk gardens this is another way to save. Produce is out rages.
You have to buy store brands to save. Unfortunately we dont like the store brands. We can taste and see a difference. Guess we're just loyal to our favorite brand name products and are willing to pay for them. I also have found when we buy multiple products to stock up,the expiration date sneaks up on us and we dont use them up fast enough Who uses 8 jars of mayo in a year?
We use a lot of mayo for recipes and etc. I think you will be surprised at how much you can bc we are so used to just getting as we need it. I also think she showed a lot of "name brands" at great deals. My husband is also very loyal to his favorite things as well. :)

YES! I got 5 butters the other week. I was so excited! Great video.
Here in our town we no longer get weekly grocery adds. Wish we had case lot sales like u hv in Utah.

I loved this video. I loved how you literally walked us through step by step. Thank you. I was curious...do you meal plan and then shop sales or meal plan after you see sales??
Great question Chrissy. I do a small menu plan after I shop my shelves. Then I check the ads to see if I can add more to the menu or a new idea.
@@shesinherapron great. Thank you for responding. :)

Hello Kimmy! You got some fantastic deals 👏🏻😊. Enjoy the rest of your evening. 🛒💵
Thank you! You too!
Check your receipts. I'm overcharged 90% of the time, often for 2-3 items. They are purposefully ripping us off.
absolutely! That has happened to me a lot at Wal-Mart
Take a picture too because they won’t change it at the register unless you have proof. Walmart has wrong prices every single time I go.
Change the time of day or day that you go. Find the lull in people so you aren't rushed at the register. Ask when their vendors are in for produce so you can get that great watermelon.
Those little overcharges add up!
@@leslieb4553 Yes, one time I was overcharged by Safeway for 4 items.!

Butter here is $9.29 today for one pound. It’s crazy. We live in Alberta🇨🇦🍁

$1.99 for chicken breast this week; in my area too! stocking up this week : ) I live in CA. really enjoy your videos; its been years! lol

These tips will help you score at your stores as well. 😉💃🏼
I am not even from the US and I still grab tips.
so when you are under budget, do you roll the extra over into the next month or do set side for when you find good deal on something?
Great Question! I take the difference and save it for the next big holiday or I will invest it in more long term food storage.

it's a sweeter type of mayo

I have 20 lbs of butter in my dep freeze- I remember when it was $1.98 😢
Best place right now to be getting produce is going to be at your local farmers market. That’s where you gonna save the most money and produce.

I suppose they just eat them. We are 3 in our family and we also eat lots of produce.
We eat a lot of the healthier brands, less processed food and such so a lot of the sales we cannot shop
