Thank you! I’m actually getting more into those too. I just got a yellow Fiji toadstool frag (I forgot to show in video), and will get more leathers once the LPS frag tank is running.
Thanks! Yeah, I think Kessils color up sps coral very well. It’s definitely not the cheapest way to light a tank, but with enough of them, they create bright and vivid colors with excellent growth.
wow man crushing it with those tanks, that elegance coral is absolutely beautiful and your frag tank is amazing. where did you get those cool frag plugs? love it
Hello! Ultra low nitrates aren’t preferable in any reef tank, imo. I do indeed have 20-30 nitrates in my sps tanks, and around 30-40 in my mixed tanks. I use four Kessil a360x lights with a four foot Reefbrite XHO fixture on my sps display tank.
@@Reefer_Matt ok my tank is 7 months old. I waited 5 months to install lights and add some corals. When i installed the lights, i started getting some brown stuff growing on the glass but also growing on my sandbed and it wont go away. If i lightly stir up the sand it goes away but by the next day its back on the sand. The more intense i put the light, the more of the brown stuff shows up. Its seems to be light some type of dust. Can you please help me out with this ?
@Coral-reef. Sounds like diatoms. They consume silicates from new rock and don’t usually show up until the lights are turned on. They will usually go away on their own after a couple months. If it’s long, stringy, and snotty looking, it could be dinoflagellates or cyanobacteria. But diatoms usually just stay as a brown powder on the surfaces of the tank. Also, lookup the term “ugly phase” online for more info. Good luck!
@@Reefer_Matt it is only like a dust. It is not stringy nor snotty. Is their any chemical media you would recomment for me to use to help with this or do i just let it be for now ?
Everything looks very healthy and super colorful. Thanks for the tour!
Soft corals tank is another wonderful aquarium ❤.

Nice, nice tanks, and the best interactive was this angel fish alone in the tank.
Thank you! Yeah, I wish I had room for another big fowlr tank to put it in. I’ll find a good home for it soon, it has really been a nice fish.
That was a very well done video 👍🏾
Thank you!
Dude I love the montipora in this tank, they're my favorite
Thanks! Yeah I think montis add great color and texture to a reef tank.
The colors of your corals are amazing ❤.
Kessil is my favorite light , people says that it's not good for Sps bullshit 😂.

Thanks! I designed and 3d printed those risers to get the acros up off the frag rack and more into the flow.
I thought to keep sps coral alive you need ultra low nitrates ? Do you keep your nitrates at 20 ? And what lights do you use ?

What type lights for the SPS? Please
I use Kessil a360x lights on a Reefbright xho fixture.
Thank you!
I’ll help with anything SPS! I’m setting up test between Radions and Nicrew HyperReefs.
