The Bosch Profactor 1/2 Inch hammer drill-driver is used for tough drilling jobs and drilling large straight holes. The Bi-Turbo brushless technology utilizes a drive-train system to optimize the additional power of the Profactor batteries. User can control and manage the operations of the tool via the Bosch ToolBox app. The onboard user interface offers many advantages such as levelling angle control, tool status feedback and temporary kickback control override. Kickback control minimizes the risk of injury to the user caused by sudden rotational torque reaction. 25 clutch settings ensure superior precision for reduced fastener damage. Electronic angle detection makes it easy to install long screws at a straight position or at an angle. Metallic chuck ensures added durability and facilitates first-rate bit retention. Metal gearbox offers high torque rating of 0 to 550 RPM and a speed rating of 0 to 2200 RPM. LED on the drilling area brightens up the work area in dark conditions. Rapid mode selector allows the user to switch between hammer mode, drilling mode and driving mode. Drill-driver comes with a bit holder, four-piece bit set and a belt clip.
PROFACTOR performance - engineered for tough drilling jobs, such as drilling large holes straight
Connectivity (module sold separately) - link to connected device via Bosch Toolbox App to customize settings, set custom angles, and receive feedback
Onboard user interface - provides leveling angle control, tool-status feedback and temporary KickBack Control override
BITURBO Brushless Technology - featuring a brushless high-performance motor and drive-train system engineered to take full advantage of the additional power generated by CORE18V PROFACTOR batteries (sold separately)
KickBack Control - helps to reduce the risk of injury from sudden rotational torque reaction in a bind-up scenario
Clutch with 25 settings - provides driving accuracy for reduced fastener damage
Electronic Angle Detection - allows precise installation of long screws straight on or at an angle
PROFACTOR 18V Connected-Ready 1/2 In. Hammer Drill/Driver (Bare Tool)
Two-speed metal gearbox - choose between high-torque (0-550 rpm) driving or high-speed (0-2,200 rpm) drilling

Having 1 arm (and being avidly pissed off at Bosch), I'll say that this drill is my new go-to for everything. I only bought one because it was priced at $129 with an 8ah battery.
Hopefully Bosch Tools North America will do more than they did these past few years since they (yet again) replaced the head of their tools division.
Bosch in other countries is amazing. But the US market is a joke (as is the case with all tool brands marketed for the US).
I want to like Bosch, but their decision makers make it tough.
In usa bosch professional is almost non existent but super super popular in europe, the only thing good in states is that is a lot cheap vs europe, to buy here a 8ah procore i almost have to sell a kidney 😅, i think with proper management and marketing they could to a lot better in us from my point of view they are not even trying seriously.
@God Zoo yeah, it's a rare clearance price at a Store called Lowe's. It's the only physical store that has more than 5 types of Bosch Tools. And even then, they are kept in a small, dark, dusty area.
So, they will occasionally sell tools with Free Batteries. Regular Bosch gets 4ah, profactor gets 8ah. And if on clearance, they mark it down like 50%, and you'll still get free battery.
But, you actually have to hunt these deals down. And it's really rare.
But I don't think anyone in the US has ever paid full price on a Bosch Tool. They make their money on disposables like blades and bits and such.
Supposed to use the 8ah battery on that drill. That's what it was designed for
Ok Robert boy ease on up now
You can turn the kickback control off for heavy duty drilling and not having the drill shut off
I wish we would have such a cordless drill competition in Europe. In my country this drill costs $300 with no batteries. And I saw some comments that this could be bought for $129 with a battery that is a complete steal. I could not even buy the battery alone for this price, jesus.
That was a limited time deal I have never seen though. It's MSRP is currently $199 bare tool and I saw it a couple times including the 8Ah and 16 amp biturbo charger for free.
When you are not the biggest player in a certain country and want to gain market share these are the tactics you use
Profactor batteries work on ALL Bosch cordless tools. They are 21700 cell batteries.
Naw. The 12 PF needs some plastic trimmed from the battery case to fit on certain Bosch tools.
@@Factoryseconds123 they fit on the older tools that I have but then again I don't have all of their tools.
@@Factoryseconds123 I don't have the 12ah but that's good to know.
Wow, Youre like on fire 🔥 dude
It has the highest amount of soft torque among all cordless drills. That's where that claim comes from.
Hi good review can you please tell me how many newton meters this drill genarates and do this come with Bluetooth module in the box please let me know
150
I bought this drill for the extra batteries. The 8ah batteries that came with it fit so loose I can feel and hear them rattle on the drill when I operate it sitting at my desk. I also purchased their new 10 inch profactor miter saw and couldn't be happier. Really let down by the battery fit up on this tool. Does the one you have there fit snug or is it loose?
That is strange, I had tested 2 and found the exact opposite. I really had to put in a lot of effort to remove the batteries on both… Like too much effort…
unfortunately i dont want to buy bosch, but especially when makita makes such good drills. but what i do think would be really a good idea is for all of the other drill manufacturers to start putting some sort of a flat indexing surface onto the back of their drills. so you know... instead of an entirely complex curved geometry moulding. then there would be a spot somehere on the back (or even on a side, or a corner). and that spot would be exactly perpendicular to the drill chuck shaft axis. so that way we could have made 3rd party or aftermarket 'addon' mods or adapter that took some standard sized and shaped digital inclinometer.
so with that digital inclinometer installed on the back of the drill it would be super easy to keep the drill lined up straight and level during drilling. and of course the standard features on these devices lets you tar out (zero out or null) the drill to any arbitrary angle. i think this woulds be and awerome and really practical optional addon feature for any handheld / freehand ordless drill. it would help in many different daily situations. and when you need the drill to be more compact and fit into tighter spaces. then the extra bulk of the addon could be removed / unclipped. so pretty much 0 downsides....
all for the sake of those curvy plastic mouldings. and putting a flat index surface onto a device probably cannot be patented. or patent-blocked. due to the fundamental nature of it being simply a flat surface.
Nice video, So what is the difference with the bosch GSB 18v 150c?
I need this information too!!
There is no difference just a different name
Which one would you recommend out of this and the milwaukee gen 4 ?
Depends on what your needs are. Now days i recommend the gen 4 bc of the whole ecoystem. It seems smaller, and more powerful. the bosch is no slouch though
What about in terms of reliability? I'm not really sure how reliable milwaukee are , ive heard a few horror stories about their drills and the gearboxs going , but that could be a result of abuse
Hi Where do you find the deal with this drill and two 8.0ah battery? thanks

Not the strongest on the market but still a beast
Look more in to it you will see that the Bosch is the strongest
@@william_gran-sorensenjust watched the Torque Test Channel video and it beat even the 24V Flex on TURBO mode and 40V makita in terms of raw power. Currently waiting for a free battery deal to sweeten the deal.
1:57 you are wrong about battery compatibility. You can use ANY 18V Bosch battery with ANY 18V Bosch tool (no exceptions). However, at this moment only 5.5Ah, 8Ah and 12Ah ProCore/Profactor batteries are able to deliver the current to get more out of their "BiTurbo" motors. I.e. with regular GBA 18V and 4Ah ProCore/Profactor you will get less performance (than marketed) out of BiTurbo tools.
all Core18v batteries work with Profactor tools just fine. Profactor tools will not perform the best without 8/12ah batteries. Love my profactor 1-7/8 Hitman hammer
