The craziest thing about this tune, is not that Pete Townsend wrote it, it's not even that it was a Movie title song or the catalyst that started the whole movie song torrent trend that enveloped afterwards but.... It's that I am 63 yeas old and I still rock to this fu*kin tune each time I hear it and act as if i was 14 all over again! Time means nothing when you hear a sound that resonates your heart.
i love elton's voice. his lower register is badass. sure, he can't hit the really high notes but he still hits high ones with a badass growl. i iove it. he's held his own.
I was quite fortunate to have attended Elton's Red Piano show in Vegas back in 2004...WOW.....what an experience......I was in 4th row....I had an inflated breast over my head....was so much fun....2 1/2 hrs (no break) of fantastic showmanship and songs......the whole trip itself was amazing...so glad I experienced that!!
I do hope you weren't the guy who ruined the piano set, where the audience was allowed to enter the stage and encircle the piano! Not the guy who ruined it! Elton was so, SO Pissed off that night. He disallowed anyone from jumping on stage after that. Just heart breaking.
@jwalker1138 You restore my faith in the youth of today! I don't get it at all you can hear good music,why do so many follow hip-hop,rap and pop? Imo MTV made music an image and a visual rather than listening to it and feeling it.I can get chills from good music the only natural high I've ever experienced.Also I play a Strat and suck but am probably considered good by today's standards?

Great job! Seen him 2 yrs. ago He did a much better rendition here.This is from a 50 something w 100+ rock concerts seen.
