Hey, hope this helps, but what he does, is one of the very basic rolls you do over an object, but that little jump at the end, is something he creates by having his legs tucked in for the entire roll, and sort of shooting them out towards the end of the roll. I guess you can compare it to a kip-up.
May any1 tell me how to "bounce" out of that roll @ 7:15? I thought i ld doin it right, but i kinda "hit" the underground with my left shoulder. Phil doesnt even touch that rock with his left shoulder. does he do it only with his legs? May anyone show me a tutorial or a video where i can see the move more precisely? ld be great ;) Regards
the original parkour person I think was a caveman named ak-ut-an who was walking home one day when he came across an elephant. That thing went crazy and tried to kill him. He ran away and climbed up a rock wall to survive the elephant attack. Following this episode was known as the elephant king, the man who survive mar-inga (aka the elephant of doom). He became leader of his tribe, and used his powers to direct the tribe toward developing stone tipped spears. ... thats what i think anyways
Parkour came to be in 1997, although it probably existed well before then without a name. Jackie Chan has been doing a variety of parkour since the 1970s,
the only dangerous thing about parkour is that guys like Ryan and Daniel make it look so easy so people that don't know how to do it say i can do that try it then heart themselves
Tnx for your help, but you didn't really understand me, I guess. I haven't got any problems with my roll, pal. But that "roll to jump-out" @ 7:15 is more like a sideflip or somethin'. Or look @ the roll @ 3:54... That's what I was talkin bout.
@devilchild9 First ones to bring it mainstream and under the name of parkour, watch old jackie chan films though he does all the movements + a few no one else has tried yet. And theres another guy from the 1930's doing what would be classified as parkour.
@devilchild9 There are no original parkour person. Parkour or whatever you wanna call it, movements, has ALWAYS been there. There were MILLIONS who did it before David Belle, Millions will do it after
well i met him at the red bull art of motion and i dont like him as a person and i think he is a pure showman...hes a good tricker but hes parkour skills suck. I just dont like people who sell themselves to the media...a littlebit is ok but look at him...cash-hungry.
