Video's like this, it just shows so much passion, and such pure reason behind why traceurs do what they do.
You get out there, and it's the one thing in your life you can control. You set your goals, and you push yourself, you get there, you have fun, and you move the way you want, not how anyone else wants you to.
Daniel Ilabaca is my idol when it comes to parkour because you can see him having fun, and you see his passion in it.

***** huh? the video never said "to do parkour" it said go follow your dreams because people are too afraid to do things...
~~where did you found this 90% stats idea from? dafaq
~~I had a dream to be in the Junior Olympics and Olympic team, and I did.
~~ Had another dream, to get into University and im working on it.
~~ Had a dream, to get a nice body...worked out for 2 years and I have a very nice body to show.
      I rather get:
      "Nice healthy Bodies"
      "Become Rich"
      "a Achieve into Junior Olympics"
than play games is a waste of time, because you achieve something that takes no effort and will only last 1 day of happiness. and get nothing OUT of playing games.
Video games are stupid, and a waste of time.
we live for 25,000 days and I rather not waste time sitting and stare at a monitor and do something for that will make me happy "instead" of achieving things in GAMEs.

LOL, ''my own safe ways of life''?
Whats what? Sitting down watching TV eating junkfood? There are no ''safe'' ways off life. Just ask those who never have smoked but still get lungcancer or all the thousands who die in car accidents, or those who are so inactive that they get heart diseas. You can't protect yourself from risks. Risk is a permanent state, and the only thing you can do is to learn to manage it and therefore minimize it. A jump which is is calculated and thought of, and a jump where the practitioner do it on INSTINCT, an automatic action that persist because of lots of PRACTISE, is far less dangerous than most people think. Check out statistics if you want to see whats really dangerous. Its not parkour I can tell you.

I trained parkour from 2008 to 2013 or something and I found this video somewhere about 2011 and since then.. illabaca has been my idol, this video has impacted me a lot! more then I often think. This took parkour to a whole other level for me, it went from just a "sport" to train once a week, to a lifestyle where I'd train about 5-6 times a week all the time. only because I could blend it into everything. I used to watch this video once in a while like once a year since I found it, and because of this I want to start training again but i cant find the energy to drag people into it. (I have always been a person who needs to make a group out of everything mostly because I find it boring to do something alone).

(From previous comment) Usually, walking on curbs is so simple, and basically everyone has enough skill to do it. But when there's a 50 foot drop on each side, fear can take over, and you will fall because of fear, not lack of skill. You chose to fall because you chose to think those thoughts of falling, and your mind can turn that into reality. I hope I make sense, and thanks Daniel for being such a great inspiration, and thanks as well to the folks who made this video.

Ilabaca is truely a role model, I can watch this many times in a row, many days in a row, everything he says is thought provoking and insightful. You hear a lot of people saying things or doing things in the parkour/freerunning community that make you think they don't have the mindset or philosophy that was intended for the practitioners to have. Daniel really gets it, you can tell that he's mentally happy and free because of Parkour, this is what it's all about IMO :)

we fall and we will always get back up. people who dont want to get back up because of fear they might fail again have to get rid of that emotion. You will never get better at something unless you try it. no matter how many times you fall, you must always get back up. never give up. giving up is never an option.

Creativity and expression of the body not for others to see but for your own achievement is what opens up your mind. It shows you who you are. Ever since i started with Parkour, i see the world with new eyes, a brand new perspective.
Walls and fences aren't obstacles or ways of saying "keep out" or "stay away".
They become invites to what lies beyond. Like a temptation.
Then again, it's all what your mind makes of it. If you see things as obstacles, they will be harder to overcome, but if you see them as possibilities and invites, you will grow stronger in every way.
See what we see, feel what we feel.
    Become a traceur!

Parkour is an amazing Sport, and shows what Humans are capable of, It is such an amzing thing and truly amazes people in such ways it can change their lives for ever. It takes confidence to jump from a roof. But you need to live.

Parkour has filled a void inside me, and im sure theres many others that still have that void. Thats what parkour is for, it adds a deeper, more philosophical layer to life. Pk for life guys, even if im crippled or so old I cant even walk, I will still champion the parkour life style

Danny is probably the person I look up to most in the world. Such an inspirational guy.

this man has found within himself an ability to see the world from the view of a free and creative mind. it leaves him with the ability to leap 19.5 feet to a cat grab, do amazing tricks and push his physical limits. but most importantly it gives him the freedom to guide and mature young minds and traceurs to see the world as he does and through his eyes. listen. and take what he says to heart.

most inspiring video i have ever watched. This is probaly should be in those videos that inspire kids to do what they like and to never give up. I know it inspired me and even though i still do parkour this makes me want to stride to push forward and do just as Daniel does. I hope you all take something from this parkour

I think so many people who practice parkour and freerunning should watch this and see if it's also true for them, if not then they aren't doing true parkour. It's a way of life which teaches us, as Daniel said, to live in the moment and adapt to the situation, to stay positive and couragous and find our own paths, not be defeated by fear - this is true parkour.

you got it very right buddy, and this video is just inspirational to get people doing parkour. People read that guy's comment again because he's right. Just live your life the way YOU want to live it.
