For me, the Dominican Republic is very much alive. My wife is from Santo Domingo. We have a home in DR and America. We have already been to DR twice within a 7 month period last year. We are going back on March 26th. It's refreshing every time I go back with my wife. The love from her family and the kindness from the community. The food and the presidente beer💯 beautiful weather. I can't wait😎❤️🇩🇴✈️

We came to DR in 2023 after watching many videos by yourselves and others To get an idea of others experiences in the country. We visited Punta cana and had a wonderful experience. Returned again and looked at properties and returned once more to purchase. We found people to be kind and even though we don't speak Spanish they assisted us the best they could- amazing ❤ We are working on learning Spanish and will return year after year to this wonderful paradise. So for us it is alive and filled with wonder and new experiences to explore 😊❤

@@conardhamilton9466Thats far from the truth. Go look at the stats and where the travelers go. Most go to tourist destinations on resorts when it comes to foreigners. The other portion are Dominicans that go to visit their fam in DR, and the smallest percentage is for "extracurricular activities".
Do the homework for yaself and you will see for yaself.

Guys love your content as always! Topic was spot on and very informative! In 2023 the Dominican Republic welcomed over 10,000,000 tourist around the world. The DR continues to outperform itself in the tourism sector. In 2024, for the month of January, the DR saw a precipitous increase in tourism, higher than the previous year! So, based on the numbers the DR is alive and well! ✌🏽

The only thing I don’t like about Santo Domingo is the daytime traffic from the airport into the city! I rather fly into Santo Domingo as late as possible
Thats a fact. SD traffic is horrendous. But the city is amazing overall.
Most of these people that are complaining have not been anywhere except Punta Cana, Sosua, and maybe Boca Chica......
It's like any other country. Largely how you move will determine your experiences. Learn the culture. Treat people with respect and you will be respected. Understanding this simple and basic concept will determine the quality of your interactions.

Viva the Dominican Republic every time every day. Your both correct. The DR is dead for only certain people. People who go there with the intention to meet a decent woman, get married or not but with the intention to create a legacy, find someone peace and enjoy the beauty of the island. Spending time chasing tail in DR and other countries could be dangerous but definitely taxing and once authorities are involved, it will drain your pockets. There are things that happen that RUclips will not post. That aside, I found my slice of sun shine in the Mountainous North. Muy tranquilo
People love to generalize their own bad experiences towards everyone. Especially Americans, I deal with it in my own family. The reason for going to the DR is for it to not be America. Those people should just stay home

I think the DR is alive and agree with your video 1000 percent. I know you were trying to be nice but i will say it. If you are traveling for sex it is dying they are not traveling for women but sex. I honestly think the sex travelers options are dying. Colombia really is not safe for sex travelers. The Philippines, DR, Brazil and even Thailand are trying to make there countries more family oriented and shutting down alot of those spots. That why guys are saying the place is not as good as before.
It's funny you said we were trying to be nice because my husband had to do many retakes because he didn't want it to come off the wrong way. He speaks very direct and if you don't know him it can be taken the wrong way. But you are right in your comment.
I totally agree, and that may be a good thing. That's why when some people on RUclips say the country is "boring," It makes my antennas go up because it's not a place for mongering usually. When I've gone to these places I've have the best time ever.

I don't know if going in front of a court is proof that those were the facts. What did the paperwork say as to why he was in court? Did it specify that was the charge? I've never heard of that law and neither has anyone I know. All these new laws people are saying exist that's against foreigners seem to be coming from 1 to 2 areas of the island which makes it really strange. But what do I know😅

This channel is great. You've made some great points. But i will also say, Taylor Made Dreams addressed some real issues, that were unrelated to the exploitation of women. I still want to see DR for myself and form my own opinion. Considering all of what i've heard, from different sources, i don't feel the same desire to travel to Latin America as before.

Great topic! But Dominican Republic is still my favorite country and they have good hearted women. The majority traveling for Chica are young and living their best life. Unfortunately Dominican Republic, Colombia, Thailand and Philippines is known for sex vacation spots. If they didn't offer it nobody would know! But I would never risk my safety for any woman. Colombia is a death sentence 😂

It goes both ways. I came there looking for property. I met a female in puerto plata. She wanted to visit me at my hotel. I told her I’m not looking for sex or to pay for sex. She said ok no problem. When it was time for her to leave, she asked if I was going to pay for her taxi. I said of course. I gave her about 1000 pesos. She said that wasn’t enough and wanted 400 hundred dollars for her time and didn’t want to leave. I threatened to call hotel security. IGood thing I saved our messages. Needless to say I stayed to myself the rest of my trip. That was crazy. I thought if I stayed away from Sosua it would be ok to meet women on the street. But that was my experience.

Brother, no self-respecting woman is going to invite herself to a man's hotel room that she doesn't even know just to chill. But I think you know all this. You just chose to turn a blind eye to it. Brother, whether you are willing to admit it or not, you were a willing participant in all this, not a victim despite telling her what your intentions were. You should left her on the streets. A decent woman would not do this. I won't even get into you letting some random women in your hotel room...smh.
Tell the people the truth! If you catch a cab, get a haircut 💈 or buy anything you better be Spanish or Haitian because the scam rate go up. Here is my issue on what you are saying. If I had of listened to you and then experienced some of the things I have when I buy something or go catch a cab or driving crazy, I would have been mad because I would say that you didn't prepare me properly, I would say that you only told me the good stuff
It's not my job to prepare anyone for every little thing. I always mention have common sense and not be naive. I don't have to make a video on every possible situation that can happen. I agree 100% with your husband perspective in this video. I too share his distastes for the types of travelers he speaks of. However I respectfully take issue with the omission of simply naming the culprits. Anyone can clearly see and know that this video is speaking in response to the degradation of the DR by Taylor Made Dreams and others from the north coast (Sosua). We know that he is the primary RUclipsr that is spewing this nonsense about the DR. We all know he is the old disgusting SEX TOURIST on the North Coast that encouraged thousands of other sex tourists to come to the DR to exploit poor women for sex. As good as this video is it rings hollow absent the courage to call him out by name. Absent that he is free to spread that nonsense with little to no pushback. I have openly been calling his sorry azz out BY NAME (him and others) repeatedly for the lies and misinformation he is spreading to other young men. I too am fully invested in the right reputation for all the DR as I have invested my money into buying a retirement home in the DR and I know what he says is NOT true. Lastly while I can strongly respect James for defending Dominican women as you his wife and daughter are Dominican and to say nothing is to allow these attacks on each of you. I am disappointed that when these same men was making these vile and reprehensible attacks against American Black women (such as his mother, and maybe siblings and other female family members) he remained silent. I do know from his past videos he may feel compromised as Taylor Made started him on his RUclips career, and his past affiliiations with him. But as he said to be an HONORABLE man is to speak up no matter what ones past mistakes are. So in closing I thank you for making a video on this at all, and only wish to remind all that to remain silent on these obvious injustices as we see them, is to be complicit in such deeds. But one I can address here is, understand God hasn't made a man on this earth that can compromise me. Everything I/we got has been off my muscle. I don't owe or feel in debt to no one.
