Hey random question I beat the game but when I load the save it takes me to before demon kings army is that supposed to happen

Hmm, is there a star on your save file? On the first time loading my saved game after beating Ganon, I started somewhere down below, but ported out right away (it's at the start of the 4/4/24 VOD).
As long as there's a ★ showing on your save file, I think it's probably working correctly.
