Hmm, is there a star on your save file? On the first time loading my saved game after beating Ganon, I started somewhere down below, but ported out right away (it's at the start of the 4/4/24 VOD). As long as there's a ★ showing on your save file, I think it's probably working correctly.

Right? It must be something psychological... I struggle way more with normal mobs than bosses lol

So it's called DXVK (I specifically used the dxvk-gplasync variant with async turned on in a config file) which is "A Vulkan-based translation layer for Direct3D 9/10/11 which allows running 3D applications on Linux using Wine" according to it's GitHub page. Basically, it makes a game run using Vulcan drivers which sometimes run better than AMD's drivers with older versions of Direct3D. While primarily for Linux, it still works on Windows and seems to be helping since Fallen Order uses Direct3D 11.
