I love that Nemophila almost always has a positive message in their music. And that they are great musicians and composers.

I'm glad you got the emotional hit from this. Such a great song. Mayu wrote the lyrics straight from the heart about her little boy.

The first baby is Mayu's baby followed by pictures of Mayu as a child!!!!! After each member is shown there are pics of them as children and then some random children's pics!!!!! This is a tearjerker for sure without understanding the words!!!!! Thank you for what you do!!!!!

Great reaction. I am a huge Nemophila fan. Love all their songs. Especially the heavier ones. But they do some amazing ballads too. This had my eyes watery too some. I believe they have done 5 ballads which includes this one. The others are Life, Game Over, Now I Here and Odyssey. All great songs. Their is a video of Now I Here live they released a while back and the solo section with Hazuki and Saki was amazing. Will miss Saki in the band but they are kicking ass as a 4 piece still and Hazuki is an amazing guitar player. They are all excellent musicians. I knew they be fine and I am digging them as a four piece just as much. But yes this is a beautiful song. The album comes out in a couple more weeks cant wait. One thing about Nemophila is they are so diverse. You never totally sure what you will get from one song to the next. their newest release on Christmas. It is called Brainwash and it is brutally heavy. The heaviest they have done IMO.

I'm not sure if you've heard their other ballads and more emotional songs: 'Life', 'Now I Here', 'Odyssey' and 'Game Over'. Every one of them is fantastic. 'Life' and 'Now I Here' are both beautiful and very emotional - the former with lyrics by Mayu and the latter with lyrics by Saki. Both those have reduced Mayu to tears during live performances.
I don't know if it's to balance how reserved Japanese people can sometimes be about public displays of emotion, but they certainly know how to let it all out in their music.

They should have called it "Beautiful Song" because musically and lyrically, that is exactly what it is. Great reaction too.

Among their many, many brilliances, Nemophila are VERY good at power ballads. Perhaps that shouldn't surprise, as the key to a great power ballad is a vocalist who can hit you dead center in the feels...and Mayu is exceptionally good at that.

Pretty good at ballads too. Just by watching the video you can get what the song is about, don't really need the lyrics. Mayu has 1 child, Tamu has 2.
3rd of 4 singles from the upcoming 4th album, Apple of My Eye (out Jan 22). You did the first song "G.O.D.". "Progress" and "Brainwash" are the other 2, the later just released on Christmas Eve.
If you want to hear another of their ballads, suggest "Life" from the 1st album.

I liked that drum build-up before the last verse. It added a touch of somewhat unsettling epicness to the otherwise wholesome ballad.

    😎👌

I know and love this song, but I don’t speak Japanese. I haven’t seen the second video before, but really appreciate the addition of lyrics. Would you attach the channel name, for the second play through? Mayu only took around 3-4 months off after the birth of her son during the 2022-23 Holiday season. She performed the Aftershock festival while around 8 months pregnant in Oct 2022, then hit the US tour hard in March 2023. ❤️🌸

    Who's cutting onions?!
I'm trying to watch this video and listen to Mayu's beautiful voice, damn it!😂
    Seriously, incredible song!
Have you checked out their song 'Life'?
Similar vibe to this one. Grab the kleenex!😂

Sounds like a contemporary christian rock song.

haha!...not sure what a contemporary christian rock song sounds like but I did enjoy this song.
I still prefer their heavier stuff but also appreciate when artists fit the musical style to the content/themes/emotions they are currently exploring rather than just reworking the same content over and over.
Never know what you're gonna get with this group 🤷‍♂
