I’m pretty sure he gets paid $400k an episode. There are like 20 episodes a season or more. So he gets like $8m a season just for this. And he’s been doing it since the beginning, so yeah. He’s done pretty damn well out of it.
I miss Apu. The antics he got into as a store owner, his arranged marriage, the concentrated Squishy thing with Bart and Milhouse. So many good episodes.
This dude is just another talent that only comes once in a lifetime. Not only did he voice them but all those characters had massive personality. Hats off to Mr. Azaria.

One of the few VAs that when I think of him a live action role comes to mind. If youve never seen The Birdcage you now have a homework assignment. He even manages to steal scenes from Robin freakin Williams.
This guy has amazing talent. Not only is he an amazing voice actor, he also has many diverse roles in many films. Truly under appreciated and underrated gem in my opinion... Hollywood should be making more noise about this guy

Apu was one of the non central character to be given a full storyline. We see hime get married, have kids and of course get robbed and still go into work.
The only sad part about this is, now we have lost Apu and have replaced Lou and Carl with a terrible impersonation. I have no ill will for the new voice actor, just stating that I can't stand the new episodes if those characters are on. They're not the same, and it's sad the "woke" community forced this change.

What they don't realize is that this "fair chance" was back when the show was accepting auditions for the characters. And let me tell you, nobody seems to care about the phrase "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" anymore. They seem perfectly fine with letting the quality drop just so that everyone can be included.
I wish they kept Apu. He may have been a shady store clerk owner at times but he was one of the most beloved characters on the Simpsons. Shame Karens had to ruin that marvelous man and his family.
