Check out this extreme birdhouse finish technique as we add this modern design to our DIY birdhouse build trilogy! A follow up and very cool project to our first two birdhouse designs, both of which come with FREE PLANS that can be found on thefamilywoodworker.com website.
This project does not come with structured plans, but it's easy enough to follow along with measurements in the video. ALSO: Please do not attempt this Cedar burning technique indoors or anywhere near flammable walls, floors or other nearby materials. Fire extinguisher and water soaked rags help keep the burning under control, or just don't attempt the wood scorching at all. Use black or ebony wood stain to achieve the same color, and with a higher degree of safety. Don't attempt the burn technique unless 100% experienced in wood burning projects.

Ok, I shouldn't use a torch in my livingroom. Would it be ok to use the tablesaw in my kitchen???

I think acetylene welding on one of your bikes is probably OK in your living room for sure, maybe throw down a flammable polyester tarp over the carpet next to an open bottle of Everclear.... (For anyone else reading that last bit... I'M KIDDING)
