    Today we are setting up to win 2024 with strategic projects that follow market patterns, trends and predictions from 2023.
    I have ten money making projects to talk about today, which can either be sold through local channels or shipped and sold via online marketing. I excluded the holiday projects, all of the items discussed today can be stacked and sold all year round, and only require a fundamental level of knowhow.
    First, we need to talk about the woodworking trends of 2024, to better understand how to make our projects stand out above the rest.
    You want them to see a piece you created and say: “This is Me”
    People are spending more time at home. They are looking for quality, pieces with a calming nature, and are also focusing on health and wellness.
    Rich, dark woods are BACK. like Walnut, Mahogany, Rosewood, and Ebony. Using a dark stain just isn't going to cut it. However, even simply accenting a piece with these darker tones helps to capture this elegance.
    Curves Curves Curves. Consider more organic, lagoon shapes for tables and cutting boards.
    Busy patterns, and matte brass hardware are predicted to be burning hot as well.
    With that knowledge, let's talk projects. These 10 projects are guaranteed to be money makers this year.
    Thanks for Watching!

    Great content as usual buddy and really appreciate you sharing. Sometime if it’s appropriate it would be really interesting to get an idea of what you have made personally from selling items. Just a ball park kinda thing. Not money from content creation/YT stuff but actually from item sales. Anyway will leave that up to you if you think that’d make a good video. I’m sure a lot of us would tune in for it. Thanks again.

      @WhosTheVoss  5 месяцев назад +1

      Well, ol buddy ol pal. The truth is: I've only publicly sold the planter boxes. Otherwise, I only build projects through conversation of people needing something. I started my woodworking channel after completing my house (the wife and I did the entire build: foundation, electrical, plumbing, roofing, interior work) all solo. Took 3.5 years :P and I find more joy in creating the videos and tinkering in the shop than I do from marketing and making the same thing over and over and over 🤷🤷 (kind of goes against this entire video 🤣🤣)

    • @alexreid4131
      @alexreid4131 5 месяцев назад

      @@WhosTheVoss no worries mate and the honesty is very refreshing. I’d love to find some of these channels that actually make a living from selling the items they create content for. Haven’t found one yet which is pretty interesting if you think about it. I’m planning on giving it a concerted go in 2024 so I’ll let you know if I crack it. Keep up with the videos brother. Very funny delivery and love the ideas.

      Its a question that pops up a lot on the Woodworking for Beginners site about "when to quit their day job and go full time woodworker". I meann, if you set up the proper online selling accounts and attend local shows, it should be do-able :)

    About to pull the trigger on a planer. The Hercules planer is on sale at Harbor freight. Do you have any experience with this one or have any recommendations? I've got a ton of router templates from crafted elements now because I watched you router video.

    • @WhosTheVoss
      @WhosTheVoss  5 месяцев назад +1

      I just checked it out, it seems like a nice planer. I dont know what the price tag is but here is how I got my Dewalt 735 for pretty cheap: its on Amazon for $512. Lowes will price match their in-store DW735 (it's in their new ad-match policy) and you can stack the 20% off (up to $100) for signing up for their credit card. So it's $412 before tax. Make the purchase, pay off the card, close the account. :) otherwise I prefer Harbor Freights Hercules series to their Bauer stuff

    Hi for the planters, are you using only Cedar fence pickets, or can you use presure treated? Thanks for all you do.

    • @WhosTheVoss
      @WhosTheVoss  4 месяца назад

      Hey Joe! I only use cedar because they are naturally weather sealed and look better than pressure treated, I go over it a little bit in the three picket planter video, be sure to check that out. But the sizes all line up the same if you can only source pressure treated pickets :)

    • @WhosTheVoss
      @WhosTheVoss  5 месяцев назад +1

      On Etsy; they are listed for $25-$35 (listed for that price, selling for that price? Im not sure) At a craft show I would put $9-$15 range with other toys that match-ish
