SANTORINI CRUISE PORT on a Budget - What to see and do without spending a fortune.

Everyone who has been on a cruise will know how expensive shore excursions can be but not everybody realises that there is plenty you can do at most cruise ports without spending a lot of money. In this video I'll show you some of the things we did in Santorini which, hopefully, will give you one or two ideas of how you can save money on your next cruise.

We did an expensive excursion in Santorini, two years ago. If I was doing it over, I think I would follow your advice and do it on my own.

The buses in Santorini are pretty good but try to be the first one off the ship to avoid the crowds.

Thanks! We were ready to go at 7:30 am and headed down as soon as the announcement was made around 7:45 am. The queue for the cable car was not bad and we were on within 15 minutes. I suspect that an hour or so later there would have been a much longer wait as there was another ship in. The wait later in the day to come back down was over an hour.
