I'm in uni but I have a career in tech that I'm pursuing and I'm making a decent amount of money right now but apart from the money I give to my family, I feel like I just squander the rest of it on food, eating out, and buying stuff I end up regretting. After watching a few videos on RUclips I have decided to save half my income but it's hard cause I had all these plans with my friends but now having to cancel on them cause of future goals is hard because they don't understand and are mad at me for 'being stingy'. Have you ever gone through something like that? What do you think I can about my situation? Cause I do feel bad for cancelling on my friends.
I think having a good savings culture is better. I completely understand what you are saying as I am 25 years old. If 50% is a bit uncomfortable for you then go for 35% or so. Also, spend a bit on what makes you happy while saving that way you really get to enjoy your life and what you earn because you deserve it. But a good saving culture is extremely important and don't let anyone make you feel guilty for it. Wish you the best.
Follow the Dave Ramsey financial steps. RUclips him. He’s changed many lives. He will tell you to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and go meet a friend at a park for a walk. True friends will understand your goals. Trust me, I’m 35 years old and am so glad I did what I did in my 20s.

Alhamdulilah it was an incredible event but seemed to forget the whole purpose of Ramadan if those things were not highlighted. U also mentioned it went on quite late which made me wonder when or if there was a taraweeh jamat or something inshaAllah. I think that alhamdulilah while we do things that feel good and right in Ramadan, we often forget the main purpose of why we are fasting. It's never about food or events but about Allah and connecting to Him in the way the Prophet saw taught. I've not watched much of the Ramadan dailys so I'm just commenting on this even and wondering if I missed it inshaAllah

How has your experience as a Muslim women been different/similar in the USA vs. Canada? Speaking from experience in the USA, my African American women peers who are professionals have had a challenging time finding a spouse (it may also be generational). I know everyone is different, but is this a challenge for Muslim women of African descent in Canada and the USA? Last question, (sorry so many.}. I know some people would think this would be easy..
