- Salam everyone! Ramadan Mubarak! I'm uploading this one the 13th day of Ramadan, but this video pretty much summarizes the first week of Ramadan for me! I don't go out or socialize much in this time, but try to take it slow instead. I made lentil soup for the first time in my life, and I also made my famous Eslimon recipe - but I had to cut it out and will include it in the next vlog because this one is already way too long! Lol, oops! The last part of the vlog includes the talk I gave at the ladies iftar, so if that is too long or boring for you - you can just skip that part! PS! If anyone knows the tune that Haytham is whistling - please let him know.

You might not realise it but your posts about religion, modest dressing , and how to strengthen our faith,are truly inspiring. the stories you make early morning for Fajr prayer genuinely made me envious but in a good way. it'a amazing how you manage to balance motherhood and a busy life while still prioritizing waking up for Fajr . I would like to thank you for recommending the book "For the Love of Prayer" It's helping me reconnect with my prayers and find the inner peace that's supposed to bring. I remember when you first shared that dua you heard from a friend and ever since then I’ve been making the same dua … LOVE your vlogs and your reflections are always on point and what we need to hear a lot of Muslims learn the deen and instead of showing it’s beauty they end up being very cruel & judgmental 🫤 which is nothing the deen encourages ……… I remember making dua when you mention being pregnant with Lily and now she is growing up so fast Allahuma barik ❤ May Allah bless you and your family and bless you for pouring into the new Muslims and us the born Muslims too … May he allow us all to reunite in Jannah and make the Quran intercede for us in yarmul qiyaamah ❤

Pro tip… make your smoothies before Ramadan and freeze them! Let them thaw overnight in the fridge, and you can save yourself 10 minutes in the morning!

Because you usually enclose more valuable notes within a cover, but nothing is more valuable than the book of Allah so nothing should be enclosed within it. I’m not sure if this applies to tafseer books though. Allah a’alam. ❤

Yes you have to make them up 😊
There is a difference of opinion wether you can pay off your debt or fast your debt but as of now I am more convinced that you need to fast to make it up so that’s why I am trying to fast as much as I can now - because in Ramadan with everyone else it is much easier than outside of Ramadan alone one day 😅

وَقُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ أَبۡصَٰرِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَاۖ وَلۡيَضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَىٰ جُيُوبِهِنَّۖ وَلَا يُبۡدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوۡ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ أَبۡنَآئِهِنَّ أَوۡ أَبۡنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوۡ إِخۡوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوۡ بَنِىٓ إِخۡوَٰنِهِنَّ أَوۡ بَنِىٓ أَخَوَٰتِهِنَّ أَوۡ نِسَآئِهِنَّ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَيۡمَٰنُهُنَّ أَوِ ٱلتَّٰبِعِينَ غَيۡرِ أُوْلِى ٱلۡإِرۡبَةِ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ أَوِ ٱلطِّفۡلِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمۡ يَظۡهَرُواْ عَلَىٰ عَوۡرَٰتِ ٱلنِّسَآءِۖ وَلَا يَضۡرِبۡنَ بِأَرۡجُلِهِنَّ لِيُعۡلَمَ مَا يُخۡفِينَ مِن زِينَتِهِنَّۚ وَتُوبُوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًا أَيُّهَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ
Und sag zu den gläubigen Frauen, sie sollen ihre Blicke senken und ihre Scham hüten, ihren Schmuck nicht offen zeigen, außer dem, was (sonst) sichtbar ist. Und sie sollen ihre Kopftücher auf den Brustschlitz ihres Gewandes schlagen und ihren Schmuck nicht offen zeigen, außer ihren Ehegatten, ihren Vätern, den Vätern ihrer Ehegatten, ihren Söhnen, den Söhnen ihrer Ehegatten, ihren Brüdern, den Söhnen ihrer Brüder und den Söhnen ihrer Schwestern, ihren Frauen, denen, die ihre rechte Hand besitzt, den männlichen Gefolgsleuten, die keinen (Geschlechts)trieb (mehr) haben, den Kindern, die auf die Blöße der Frauen (noch) nicht aufmerksam geworden sind. Und sie sollen ihre Füße nicht aneinanderschlagen, damit (nicht) bekannt wird, was sie von ihrem Schmuck verborgen tragen. Wendet euch alle reumütig Allah zu, ihr Gläubigen, auf daß es euch wohl ergehen möge!
Al-Aḥzāb 33:59
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ قُل لِّأَزۡوَٰجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يُدۡنِينَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ مِن جَلَٰبِيبِهِنَّۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدۡنَىٰٓ أَن يُعۡرَفۡنَ فَلَا يُؤۡذَيۡنَۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
O Prophet, sag deinen Gattinnen und deinen Töchtern und den Frauen der Gläubigen, sie sollen etwas von ihrem Überwurf über sich herunterziehen. Das ist eher geeignet, daß sie erkannt und so nicht belästigt werden. Und Allah ist Allver gebend und Barmherzig.
