We all know if it wasn't for Tobias, literally no one could stop Ash from winning the Sinnoh league Like, they literally just created Tobias to defeat Ash
They could atleast just make the order different by making the person tobias defeated after ash for the semi-finals and tobias for finals and maybe that woud have lead ash to win the kalos league instead of the alola league.

Joel Embiid true but the fact is that Trip also had some pretty strong Pokémon. Why would they make Ash and Trip have a 5v5 at the start and end it with a 1v1? It makes little to no sense. Ash and Trip should’ve had a full battle. This is how the Unova league SHOULD HAVE GONE. Ash beats Stephen (however you say his name) in the preliminaries with his Pickachu against Sawk. Then in the quarterfinals Ash and Trip meet and they have a full 6v6. Ash wins by a hair, and he goes on to lose to team Eevee in the semi finals. Now you may think it’s crazy that I have ash going all the way to the semi finals, but out of all honesty he got snubbed against Cameron and should’ve destroyed him.
Ah honestly had so many potential killers throughout his journey that just didn't evolve. Gible being the most upsetting. He could've had his pseudo-legendary *before* Goodra, and while the comparison wouldn't have been favorable (it's Garchomp ffs), Ash could have been touted as having owned 2.
The Sinnoh League was easily my favorite of all that Ash has entered. The story arc of him and Paul made it so much more than just another series of battles to watch; there was actual emotion fused into the battling. I don’t think they will ever mount the story behind Ash and Paul.
This league was honestly one of the best in terms of strategy, atmosphere, and emotion that showed just how far Ash has come in his journey to becoming a Pokemon Master. Paul really got his butt kicked at the end by Infernape, which was a really epic moment that proved him wrong since Ash was able to pull out the Pokemon he abandoned and called weak's full potential, who then singlehandedly knocked out half of his team, including his almost fully rested Electivire despite being worn out. Unova was a bit of a setback, and kinda disappointing though..if only they kinda showed that Tobias made him fall into a slump, with him using Legendaries and Mythicals like Darkrai and Latios which honestly is really unfair and disrespectful to the other trainers in the league since it's only really sheer brute force that's being used, not effort. He didn't really use any strategy either, it was just spamming moves. But hey, Tobias has to at least be given some respect. He earned the trust of these guys, and was capable enough to handle their power.
This review was spot on. Diamond and Pearl truly was the golden age of the pokemon anime, and the Sinnoh league was the perfect end to the perfect series.
Paul VS ash should have been the finals Change my mind. and then they could have had an episode of him being trashed by Aaron and then go to unova, OR just have him pass the baton to a new charecter
As much as I love Kalos, the Sinnoh league is without a doubt the best one IMO. Not only did DP give us the best rivalry to date, but it ended in the most beautiful way possible. Gives me tears just thinking bout it jajaj
Chalcolate Fox A. You listed Pikachu twice. B. Infernape, Sceptile, Charizard, Krokodile, Snorlax & Glalie, with Pikachu off to the side, like in Ash vs Gary battle
hyper gamer no they didn’t. Not at all. It’s just a different art style. Sun and moon is great. People just don’t like it cause it’s a little goofier at the start.
Writers: “Let’s have Ash meet Paul in an exciting, strategic, meaningful, and GLORIOUSLY animated battle that’ll serve as the perfect climax and end to their intense rivalry, which we’ve been cooking up for four whole seasons and will be remembered by the fans for years to come.” Also Writers: “Let’s have Ash get swept in the semifinals by a Trainer commanding Legendary Pokémon that got their own movies, and whose presence wasn’t foreshadowed or built up in any way before the Sinnoh League!”
I like how now, after the Alola League, Ash has a Mythical Pokémon of his own as well as an Ultra Beast at his beck and call. If Ash and Tobias ever battled again, I'm pretty sure the outcome would be different.
The fact that Ash only lost the Sinnoh league because his opponent used legendaries is pretty much enough proof that this was the league Ash ever did, even better than Kalos.
The Sinnoh League is definitely the best League in the anime. It had the longest battle in the anime to date and Ash uses so many cool techniques in his battles. It’s a shame the Tobias battle ruins the end though.
Dragon’s Touch Sinnoh definitely has the edge for me, as it had at least 4 proper battles. Kalos League only really had 2 proper battles as it seems the creators wanted to rush onto the Team Flare Arc. Sinnoh also had the fun sideplot of Team Rocket running a successful business. We also got more character development from Paul too.
@@Wheeler07 or if they insisted on having tobias than they could have had like ash vs paul in the semi finals and than have ash put together his best team (which would probably be, Pikachu, charizard, infernape, sceptile, snorlax and heracross) and come out all guns blazing against Tobias in the finals. That would have been better than ash getting stomped by a dude with two or more legendaries after beating his rival.
The Sinnoh League was one the best league! It had a fun first episode. The battling was amazing. The league has one my favorite battle Paul vs Ash. Infernape was so cool and it mastering bit unique blaze. I even enjoyed Tobaus battle. Seeing Darkia. And seeing Pikachu battle legendary Pokémon was only legendary battle lol.
When I watched Ash vs. Tobias for the first time as a kid, I was so hype when Sceptile defeated Darkrai, and then was absolutely crushed when that Latios came out. Probably the most stressed I've had watching a Pokemon Battle.
Cameron isn’t as bad as Tobias Ash was the strongest trainer in the league after beating Paul. Tobias served as the Plot Armor to prevent Ash from winning the league if they wanted Ash to lose this was the stupidest way to do it atleast let him knock out 5 of Tobias Pokémon would have been a better way. If there was a league Ash was going to win before Black and White Sinnoh was that league before the reset
Not only was Ash Vs Paul a perfect episode for giving Paul his just desserts, we get to see Paul in a new and better light and the character development establishes him as one of the best rivals Ash faces full stop.
You can’t just revert a character to there rookie ways and make them into an idiot in the next season! Black and white anime: That’s where your wrong kiddo.
Roast unova league next cuz everyone knows it was the worst in history of Pokemon it's drastic to see how the writers ruined unova after a great sinnoh anime
I guess after every amazing league they have to produce a shitty one.(excluding Hoenn) Sinnoh was amazing and Unova was trash. Kalos was also good while Alola is literal shit.
Dark Ice we don’t know that Alola sucks yet. However, HAS ANYONE SEEN HIS TEAM!? (I agree because if Ash doesn’t train his team OR if he doesn’t transfer his old mons back, he’ll be screwed).

@@theswampexpert2303 it still is to be honest. I mean don't get me wrong, the Kalos league was amazing and our boi finally became a champion in alola, but that win against Paul made this league so good. This league was near perfect. If it wasn't for Tobias then it would be perfect
Why? You still have Glaile in the bench (Ice-Dark) that suits the type. Gible needs to step up when it comes with dragons war. The rest will be 4 bidoofs and it will be easy unless if he had Rhyperior, Peliper, Victrebell, and other pokemons that will be ass-kicked by Infernape😂😂
I think the only reason he didn't use Infernape was because he possibly tooken way to much damage from the battle with Paul that Nurse Joy told Ash he wouldn't be able to battle for the next match, so Ash had to choose a different pokemon, and if u ask me he shoulda used Charizard instead of Swellow
@@Wheeler07 he was in vacation so was chilling and become lazy and weak even when Pikachu recovered from zekorom nerf it lost against freaking panpour a water type
I remember watching this league when it came out and there are few moments as satisfying as when Ash beat Paul both physically and philosophically. It was Infernape, the Pokemon that Paul cast aside, that delivered the final blow and in the end, Paul became a better person by realizing his ruthless methods were ultimately inferior to the love Ash gave his Pokemon. It was just a perfect and fulfilling conclusion to their rivalry. :-)
Paul never realized that, but he did recognize Ash as a powerful trainer. By that logic, Ash should have realized his love was inferior to Paul's draconian ways in Lake Acuity
Ikr, but it was still awesome to see that he used two of his aces, Pikachu and Sceptile, if he had Charizard and Infernape he probably would have brought Tobias to his final Pokemon
I remember watching the episodes and thinking : Yeah, this could be it, he might win this time. (Especially after beating Paul) But then came Tobias and it really felt wrong seeing him losing again. Nevertheless my favorite PKMN-League and part of the whole Anime. :)
@@justever5301 You're right I probably should've given it 10 but if I had to make a minor complaint about it than Tobias part was complete bias (heck part of his name is even bias) even though I think ash loosing against him makes more sense than loosing against tyson and harrison
Another facts especially the last episode where ash and Brock get on ship to leave and return back to Kanto region. how dawn starting tear up made me cry. 😭😭 Before gave that hi five and then ash Said something to help her feel better. Then made really miss this show and to sad and happy at sametime coming to ending. Pokémon diamond and pearl from beginning to end will be remember. It was amazing and satisfied.
now imagine seeing that paul battle LIVE and having to wait a week between EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of that 3 part battle! i remember that....cant remember how i felt though
The battle between ash and paul was amazing and i loved that ash showd paul how storng he has gotten since the last battle and when infernape. Beat electrobuzz. And when paul respected ash's. Training style
girl power another reason why it was great is because when Infernape used to be a Chimchar, it was Paul's at one point. And then Paul released it because he thought it was useless, but it's very ironic that the Pokemon he thought was useless kicked his ass in the end of it.
Sad that he doesn't do that anymore, but actually now that I think about it, that was the only league where he did that other than Johto, but his Kanto Pokemon were pretty much still a part of his team in Johto so it doesn't count. Yet another reason why the Sinnoh league is the best league.

Man I gotta say that the finale to Satoshi vs Shinji was truly the best diamond and pearl had to offer. It even had type wild the song playing during the final blow between Infernape and Electivire! Truly I could have seen the anime end here.
Idk why, but Satoshi and Shinji rolls off the tongue so much better than Ash and Paul, I guess it's just my bias towards Japanese names. Also, if you're going to call Ash and Paul by their Japanese names, at least say Goukazaru and Elekible instead of Infernape and Electivire
What's so special for me about the Sinnoh League is that it hosts the last round as a championship round with around 20 rounds before the winter break and title showdowns have been decided like Ash and Paul excluding Tobias when titles have been decided before coming to Sinnoh League
@@nguessanndri8048 Although I accept his league win as an actual league win, you have to admit that the Alola league wasn't as large of a scale as other regional leagues. I mean, quite a few of the trainers who made it in the top 16 definitely would not have made it into the top 16 of any other regional league. Faba, Lillie, Jessie, James, and Mallow are examples of this. Of course, there were some strong trainers like Guzma, Gladion, and Kiawe but it wasn't as jampacked with strong trainers as other regions. I can also understand the mindset of people not taking the win due to the fact that the finals were a 3 vs 3 battle, which I think is kind of dumb. Thankfully though, they did have the Kukui exhibition match to 100% prove that Ash deserved the league win.
so glad I watched my fav league with the max quality on the pc (instead of the phone) btw I loved the DP anime ps the last wtf moment with unova ash was just perfect
One thing I wish this one had was the introduction of a new trainer against which Ash has a battle. All the major fights were against previously established characters which made the league feel small. Hoenh was better as it had multiple long and difficult battles against one-off enemies even a 2 episode full battle which I really love. It really made it feel like it was a big tournament where everyone is strong and any one of those people who you've never seen before could kick you out of the tournament at any time.
As much as people hate the Sinnoh League's end, I always loved it. I also love the explanation Dogasu gave on it. Basically, OLM (Pokemon's animation studio) had 3 Episodes to finish the series after the finale of Ash vs Paul. So they had to use Pokemon that were strong enough to do the job, so what better Pokemon than Legendaries? Furthermore, everyone remember how Ash lost against Alain? Alain, who had 6 random Pokemon that Ash lost to, and all except Charizard were random because they were never seen again. Anyway, basically, what I'm saying is what sounds better to have Ash leave a League on? **Ash Defeated 2 Legendary Pokemon in the Semi-Finals! But still lost...** or **Ash Defeated a few strong Pokemon like Dragonite and Garchomp! But still lost...** Also there wasn't room for Ash to still win the whole league, 3 episodes and then the anime had to call it and move onto Black and White, they had the specials but other than that contract for the Diamond and Pearl Series would be up. TL;DR-I love the Ash vs Tobias battle to this day
Wait that makes much more sense now that you put it like that. Wow, I'm actually glad they did it that way instead of having him lose to some random ass, less-strong Pokemon
The greatest part of this league is when Infernape, actually no, HIMfernape, faced against his ex owner, against his biggest opp, proceeds to absolutely kick, PAUL’S, ASS, my boys, that flamethrower was not flamethrower, it was a flame BEAM
The best thing about this league or series in general. Ash used strategies other than simply beat them up or I BELIEVE IN MY POKEMON. He actually used a legit tactic against Nando that will use sing attack. HE NOTICED TYPE ADVANTAGE What is this madness?

I wish ash would battle with old and new Pokemon like in this league and that moment in that Tobias episode where ash does his famous cap turn after so long was awesome I wish he would do that again in the future at some point because that was genuinely awesome.
I always found it funny that Ash was going to use Torterra against Conway, but then made a complete 180 in his ‘mon lineup. Torterra: Yes! Here is my chance to improve my battle track re- aaAAAAnd it’s gone. Ah well, at least Noctowl improved *his* battle track record. So... yay?
When infernape and electivier had that final battle that was epic much like Paul and ash they had a big rival since the time they were an Elikid and chimchar and seeing their relationship growing as they kept evolving and finally in this final battle they end this rivalry and now have a respect for each other seeing how strong they have grown for each other
I was sorta joking last time I said it, but still, I'll say it again, by the time you're done with the kalos league, you'll be able to do an alola league review too
Even though the Sinnoh League is about strong trainers in competition, there should have been a ruling against Tobias for practically slaughtering his opponents with just one Pokemon.

Best league in my opinion. The fact that Ash brought so many of his older Pokemon to this league makes it ridiculously fun 😁 I wish Ash would rotate his Pokemon more frequently!!
The first time Ash manage to reach up to Top 4 at the Sinnoh League Lily of the Valley Island Conference, there is another bonus to that like Ash's Cyndaquil evolved to Quilava which is a good thing because after manys years and episodes Cyndaquil has finally evolved to Quilava. I wishes he did the same for Bayleaf, Totodile, Corphish as well as his Gible and Buziel because they did haven't evolved yet and if he had he would have had a chance to win the the Sinnoh League Lily of the Valley Island Conference or still take place in the Top 4 after been defeated by Tobias.
one thing i liked about the electivire and infernape fight is when the judge is about to call it off but electivire essentially tells the judge to wait, knowing infernape has more fight left in him. just a neat touch from when paul used to get his pokemon to attack chimchar in order to force blaze.
I'm still convinced Ash's journey should've ended on Sinnoh (or Kalos at worst) - every of his companion found a goal, Ash defeated Paul who wasn't an obnoxious rival like Gary who appeared once in forever, but through Ash's entire journey in Sinnoh. I also think so bc Unova serves as a "reboot" to pokemon franchise, so it'd be only logical for anime to have a soft reboot too and get new protags - maybe pair of BW and BW2 protags (Hilda w Nate or Hilbert w Rose) + a gym leader (let it be Iris, but instead of being useless for the most of the series and then suddenly becoming a champion in Journeys, she actually gets a good team and works on herself and w her pokemon to become a good dragon trainer). The anime in that case will cover both BW games. Then in Kalos we can either have the same pair of protags or a team of Clemont, Bonnie, Serena and maybe Sawyer? Idk who to put for SM, bc I didn't watch pokemon at all after XYZ ended..

Technically he released Naganadel.
The fact that Ash only lost the Sinnoh league because his opponent used legendaries is pretty much enough proof that this was the league Ash ever did, even better than Kalos.

Pikachu for me, it’s a toss up between Sinnoh and Kalos
Dragon’s Touch Sinnoh definitely has the edge for me, as it had at least 4 proper battles. Kalos League only really had 2 proper battles as it seems the creators wanted to rush onto the Team Flare Arc. Sinnoh also had the fun sideplot of Team Rocket running a successful business. Alola isn’t even a real league lol.
Thankfully though, they did have the Kukui exhibition match to 100% prove that Ash deserved the league win.
so glad I watched my fav league with the max quality on the pc (instead of the phone)
btw I loved the DP anime
ps the last wtf moment with unova ash was just perfect

Cyndaquil evolved because Dawn had the same Pokémon and that should clear that up
one thing i liked about the electivire and infernape fight is when the judge is about to call it off but electivire essentially tells the judge to wait, knowing infernape has more fight left in him.
just a neat touch from when paul used to get his pokemon to attack chimchar in order to force blaze.
