And now, after another update, it appears the non-legacy Horizons version uses the same planet surfaces as Oddysey. So all my coordinates are likely outdated unless you play on Legacy Horizons (and I haven't tested that either). You can still use Detailed Surface Scanner to reveal the navpoints.
I haven't heard of any reason why it shouldn't, I don't see why Frontier would need to touch Probes at this point, but they do sometimes work in mysterious ways. If you can successfully loot other items mentioned and just didn't get any probes, it could be down to luck.
Apologies CMDR, Frontier made this unnecessarily complicated but you can still get your sensors. The Odyssey and Horizons surfaces are different, resulting in a "slight" shift of the "Crashed Thargoid Ship" (that's the nav point name) from -35.012; -141.384 (Horizons) to -7.336; -6.277 (Odyssey). The Odyssey version is not found within a huge and treacherous crater but on a somewhat plain... plain.
