Do you have any tips on determining the size of the neck band size on bishop dresses?

So happy I found your tutorials ,have watched several now. Can you recommend a "one-stop-shop" for pleater needles, higher end batiste and the thread you used for smocking in one of your other tutorials, please? I have new great grdaughter due mid May, smocked for others decades ago but have forgotten so much - thus greater appreciation for your sharing your time and talent. And where did you get your bishop dress pattern please? I've ordered a "beginner's smocking kit" on Etsy, along with a couple of booklets and know these will help but I've already learned so much from you. Thank you again.

Question...I get my bishop blocked and all my pleats straight, iron on the freezer paper, run a basting stitch around on the machine, and then find out my pleats have shifted. It's like the weight of the presser foot mucks it up. Thoughts on how to correct???

are you doing your stitches with the freezer paper touching the pressure foot?
