Watch the trooper - as children approached he would shorten the rein (either lifted up the hand holding the reins or even used the other hand to pull more of the reins through the hand holding the reins) so that the horse's head would not be able to easily reach a child. The trooper has great awareness of just who is beside his mount - adults are "fair game" since they should know that petting a large, unknown horse is risky, so it's their fault if they're bitten.

I would bet you a dollar these people would pose next to an alligator just to get their smile on a picture for their friends. Come to Florida. Alligators are free and they're everywhere for you!

In a herd, if one horse backs up to another horse it means it's going to kick. It's a way of showing dominance. You'll notice that she strikes the most at people kind of sidling up to her with their back to her.

I have watched so many of these videos but this one has left my jaw on the floor! Why must all those kids touch the horse? This isn’t a damn petting zoo! 🤦‍♀️ Adults, teach them proper respect!

Why does Arnie bite so much? This is concerning. It's not normal for a trained horse to be biting people all the time. If she is this uncomfortable something is wrong with her tack.

@@sarahgump8225 There is a sign on the wall warning people that horses may kick or bite that people choose to ignore .so, it's 100% the people's fault if they get bit and before you say to me " not everyone can understand English" there are translation apps that people can use!! no excuse for stupidity. besides, these are big and strong animals that can do serious damage NOT cute and cuddly toys!! besides, she always bites people, she gives rude, disrespectful, and entitled people who ignores the warning sign on the wall a lesson!! she isn't called the tourist hater for nothing, she is awesome!! so, i doubt anything is wrong!!

If a human were rubbed on in the same spot for hours, we would end up with a worn spot in our skin. Horses, our fellow earth creatures, are no different. If a parent wants their child to pet a horse, let them go to a petting zoo, not a Horse Guard HORSE!

Poor Arnie, don't these people not understand that you have to stand their "mauling" for hours at a time, and the only way you can tell this mob you are totally fed up with all their mauling only but to use your Teeth to bite them or your feet to kick them. in past times before these intrusive phones we never saw anything such as what goes on at Horseguards these days.

There's a part of me that think's these adults have no one but themselves to blame if they go charging in only paying attention to the camera - posing for it, but Arnie IS trying her best to "be nice to the idiot's" or at least keep them at a distance.
But human being's rarely take any notice, but the poor trooper on the horse DOE'S & as Arnie's trooper clearly show's here they can get distracted & stressed when they know someone has been bitten & is somewhat distressed... It's NOY FAIR, they have a job to do, there's a sign telling them that the horses can bite/kick, that woman was English speaking so she's really the only one to blame... I've got pictures of me, my brother, sister & cousin's with the horse's from the 1970's, when adults only posed either with small or frightend kid's, but no one i know ever attempted to touch the horse, rider or tack.... Different time's & better parent's back then i think 🤷🏼‍♀️

People should take seriously the bite warnings and signers from the horses when they do not want the constant touching. A woman at the Preakness stakes this past weekend had her finger bitten off by a horse. Concerned with these women that insist on having their children interact with a horse that obviously does not want it just for a picture.
