And he knows that I told you that!” I’m assuming he’s either the tour guide or chaperone of the group that he’s instructing, as he also pointed out & directed his group to stand behind the line per the officer’s orders, stated some rules and what’s expected of them. I have seen that in some videos that some people grab the reins on purpose and you can tell because they hear him say get off the reins and they don't listen until after the picture is taken or he charges them with the horse and sometimes they grabbed the reins when he tells them don't touch the reins they let go and then grab it again some people are so disrespectful

People are still getting too close to the horse, so I suggest, as I've done on other videos, is to paint a line, in white or like black and yellow caution tape, from the edge of both sides of the box opening about 8 or 09 feet towards the walkway and connect them in a straight line or arch. An arch would mimick a shadow of the open box. I would definitely use the warning tape design...nobody should miss that, and Im sure it's an international sign. I'll fly over and paint it for free! And great job, soldier telling tourons not to touch the horse!! Tell the other soldiers dont be shy...😊...you're in charge.❤
Luv this bearded Life Guard. In the right box. He's always on it. It's the same guard. That recently was in his camo uniform. With one of the new Corporal of Horses. Engaging with the tourists and answering questions. Never seen that before. It was a glorious thing to watch. I don't know if it's going to be. The norm at Horse Guards. There was definitely a shift. They are Ministry of Defence police. They're a highly trained counterterrorism unit. They operate in civilian areas surrounding military or sensitive infrastructure facilities. They're more highly trained than the regular Armed Response Units of the Metropolitan Police. Their primary role is counterterrorism and they're in permanent contact with the CCTV operators through earpiece. They aren't really there to shepherd tourists or do crowd control on Guard changes but they will do these tasks to help keep the place running smoothly. What is really needed is a couple of regular Metropolitan Police for the more standard policing so that these guys can get on with their specialised role.

the guards all taking the soft approach these days. seems somone complained that they were shouted at so not strong approach is no longer enforced. plus the gards seem extremely young and lack experience. the older guards would shout and shove people out of way and take no nonsense from anyone

Its a Serving Military Barracks.. Any more "stuff" and it will look like a theme park. People over centuries have been very respectful.. It should all be explained by tour guides before they all arrive on pre booked sight seeing.

Hello from French-speaking Quebec! I would like to understand. Why does the chin strap of some guards go under the chin and for others, it goes under the lower lip?
I think traditionally it was worn under the lip but for practical and comfort reasons its become a choice. Not posotive though. You could Google it, there is a lot if historical info..
It means that if the strap was under the chin and the helmet was shot off it could break the guards neck whereas under the nose it afforded some leeway.

The guards and horses are working and highly trained, the guard is a serving soldier and has no doubt experienced more than he would care to remember. The Horse is also highly trained to very high standards. They are not there for entertainment or pleasure, they are on duty protecting the Royal Family and all concerned. They do attend ceremonies but that does not mean that it is their only job. Have more respect please !! 😠
I know, most people have never seen a horse up close. I’m from Buffalo, New York, USA and their are NO horses ,ever, unless you go way out into the farm country, maybe see a horse.

There’s a camera on the roof of the box makes me think or wonder that the guards are being scrutinised while on duty and perhaps by telling off the tourists is now a no no nd if they do yell they will be punished eg work extra hours? Like a boarding school ?

Im so glad they changed the rule to not touching the horse, but I won't be happy until the tourists aren't allowed near the horses or the guards and that is because of the disrespect of some of the tourists..
They need to put signs on both sides of boxes.

There’s a camera on the roof of the box makes me think or wonder that the guards are being scrutinised while on duty and perhaps by telling off the tourists is now a no no nd if they do yell they will be punished eg work extra hours? Like a boarding school ?
99.9% act like they've never been allowed out in public before 🙄 apparently they shouldn't be. Their behavior proves what they are. They get caught wrong-doing and then laugh like hyenas. It Is Sickening to say the least. 😢

Don't these guards understand that when they let people break the rules, more people break more rules until it's chaos? I don't understand why they allow people to do what the please. The horses are so much calmer when they aren't being invaded. And why people feel the need to touch the horse is beyond me too. Most of them just want to touch it in a possessive way. No concern for the horse at all.

Yeah, just stand there... disrespect is hard to watch... or is it plain lack of brain cells? Sori, I'm holding back trying to be gentle, but it's hard sometimes, like when that couple is just standing there taking a picture as the guard is walking right up to them, and they don't move until told! One of too many.
