Why not have the firefighter reach forward and unlock front door instead of breaking glass? Also why not push the stem in and save tire just in case you may need to reinflate tires for whatever reason? And if you take ground wire off of battery first and you accidently drop it or somethin happens it comes into contact with more metal before you have the negative off you've just made whatever the touched now oart of the circuit and its completed once again.
armyguy0901 there is something called “the golden hour” for trauma pts. Are you really gonna waste pushing in the stems of each tire to deflate them? Fuck no. Why would you need to reinflate the tires during an extrication? The vehicle is chalked to PREVENT movement. The glass needs to be broken for extrication purposes.
armyguy0901 also, taking the ground wire off first prevents a circuit of the battery.... which is the whole point. You can’t accidentally drop a terminal on a ground because 95% of the car is a ground. Cut them and the end.
Yeah your never going to reinflate a tire. Typically u flatten the tires to immobilize it better. snip cables, if u need to lift the car back up, they have lift bags for that. What I don't like is how slowly they take to do stuff. Use a sledge or hoolie to spread fenders to access hinges quicker. Use the jaws or a quicky saw to cut them after.
Very well done. Thank you.
my uncle is a natural in front of the camera :D
