Yess so true! That’s what I experienced as well. We make up scenarios around the offence and then end up in an even worse state. May our Heavenly Father help us deal with things like this by providing his perfect love and comfort over us 🤍

Can we talk about how some people isolate one person? Or cliquiness in churches? Because I hear a lot about self isolation but the main thing I struggle with is nobody wants to actually get together or everyone will hangout and exclude people….
Yes this is soo true. It’s one of the reasons that I still find it hard to go to church today! It’s something that I’m continually praying for, that we as people individually will welcome every single person with open arms. Feeling excluded in church is the loneliest feelings and that shouldn’t happen 😞 I know this is not a physical place but please know that you’re so welcome here in this family! No cliques here, we’re all equal as God’s children :) 🫂
Hello. I would like to share some things the Lord taught me and is continuing to teach me. The first thing is to always pray and ask the Lord for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to get to know Him and his entire truth when you’re reading and studying the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15). The next thing is to go to the church (guided by the Holy Spirit) that teaches the whole Bible truth and not just “feel-good” messages (Isaiah 8:20). God’s Word is not going to forsake truth to preserve our feelings. He cares about our feelings, but more than that, He cares that we love the truth and live in it because Jesus is the way, truth, and the life (John 14:6, KJV), and His Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth (John 14:17; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12). The next thing is to remember that God’s church is a remnant - a small group out of the billions of people in this world (Matthew 7:13-14; Revelation 12:17). This church worships God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24) and keeps the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus (Revelation 14:6-12). Do not let anyone deceive you. If anyone says we don’t have to keep ALL of God’s commandments (Exodus 20:1-17; James 2:8-13) is not telling the truth. God is our lawgiver and His law is life (Psalm 1; Psalm 60:5-8; Psalm 99:7; Psalm 119:105; Psalm 119:115; Psalm 119:165; the whole Bible). We keep God’s law because we love Him and He is the one who helps us to do so, not we ourselves (John 14:15; Mark 10:27; 1 John 5).
Please know that I am not perfect and don’t do any of these things perfectly. God alone is perfect and through Jesus Christ He is making me perfect just as He will make you if you let Him (Matthew 5:48). I hope you pray on these things and trust in the Lord. He will help you and lead you in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). God bless you and have a blessed week.

This message is so powerful because it shows how us being too reactive to offenses can cause us to abort a purpose that is already being written. I feel God has guided me this year on working on me being too emotionally reactive. It has helped me to be concious on making a stop, analyzing things before speaking or acting out. Also on being aware that I can get offended, just like I can offend others (reminds me at the same time of the Our Father prayer "And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. "). Thank you God for this message and thank you Deborah for saying yes on being God's instrument.
Amen sis 🙏🏽🤍 it’s a constant battle for all of us. We offend and get offended. It’s inevitable in this fallen world. But it’s so important for us to face the offence and love through it. That’s where transformation happens as Jesus intended it to 🥹 Lord knows it’s not easy!

I agree with you Deb. But the major division is inside the church. There are many Christian denominations and when someone approaches christ for the first time, it's a bit confusing where to go. Because it seems that God teachings are clear, but then it's like every denominations has failed before God. And my fear is that sometimes I don't know in which church to go, to spend time with other Christians
Yes you’re so right sis. I even find it hard when people ask me which denomination church I go to… one that worships Jesus, idk 😫. It’s definitely intimidating to say the least! Jesus is who unites us all and that’s all that should matter. So we have to keep praying for that unity in the body of Christ. Going to church should never be an intimidating thing 😞🤍
It's TWO KINGS TWO😊,and it sounds beautiful. What shall we say to these things? This rock of offense our Lord! This process of becoming like Jesus who Himself uses our very own brother, and sister to perfect us. Oh how deep is the offense when it comes through the child of God! But is it not the nature of the family dynamics? So grateful for the courage to share this faith talk devotion on offense. Social media streets are rough, and the Lord entrusted you to carry His burden through these rough streets, and we rise and grieve together, and we are going nowhere and so are you. This message is beautiful!! I can relate it with the message that was delivered in my church today! My bishop message was about love and how when we are hurt we forget to love as Jesus so graciously love us. We start to live in “Scarcity Mentality” instead of an “Abundance Mentality.” Love will destroy the destructive path that the enemy try to bring!!

"If something that minor throws us off from hearing what God is speaking then that is for us to go back and sit with the Lord". Amen. And I honestly think it is this tactic that the enemy also uses to cause division: Let me have them trip over the little things so they won't even be aware of the grander thing! Keep spreading the Gospel, keep doing your job for the Kingdom and it might be a cliche but literally God sees you, hears you and appreciates your work and patience with different believers!
Good word. One of my prayers over my family and church is that we will not be easily offended and that we will be quick to forgive, never holding a grudge.

I think the offense alone is not that bad or even the worse thing because it’s a natural response to some we don’t understand or something that hurt us. Even our Lord has been offended by the Israelite’s behavior through the whole Bible, by King Solomon’s workshopping other gods, by the disobedience of his people in the desert and many more actions. Offense itself is not from the enemy it’s the reaction that comes after that is allowing the enemy to thrive in our lives. We get angry and hateful, we choose to turn away from the person who offended us sometimes unintentionally not even acknowledging their effort to gain us back. God always forgive our mistakes after being offended by them again and again as long as we show remorse and we should do the same and not directly run away from the church or our friends who offended us. In Nehemiah 9: 16-35 we read that God always had compassion and understanding for his people after they offended him again and again. He got angry but eventually still came to their rescue multiple times after they repented.

He knows our human frame and the challenges that we will face that is why he has given us the word(Bible) and the Holy Spirit. So that when we receive the Holy Spirit, he dwells in us, he teaches us the truth , he reveals more of Christ and he helps us obtain wisdom, knowledge and understanding as we read the word. He then guides us on how we navigate this journey of life. He is our Helper. We have a part to play in co-operating with him so that we overcome the trials and temptations of life. Even when we fail, he will help us when we call on him. He is faithful. ❤🙌🙏

It's so silly to think that something as simple as saying "2 kings" caused that commentor trouble but we've all acted like that commentor. Hi Debb. This brings so much pain since it just spoke to what I am facing. In 2022 I offended someone very dear to me, I fell pregnant by her brother unintentionally of cause. I was not even dating the guy, it was just one of those things that just happen. I take full responsibility of my mistake, I have repented of my sin and continue to ask God to forgive me. What hurt me the most is that it ruined a very good sisterhood, she was so hurt to a point where she almost left the church. I didn't want to be the reason she left God. It hurts even today because she was never the same in her faith again. I pray to God all the time to touch and heal her heart
This is also so important in marriage!! I get offended too easily and I find it ruins my peace. This is a great nugget of wisdom sis. ❤ The Lord reminds me of forgiveness and grace toward others as he has for me. Jesus is our greatest example. Hallelujah!

Hi D, it’s so important to always see and ask the why when it comes to our actions. What’s behind it is either pure of self serving. During these days it is hard, but as we grow with our relationship with God it will become easier. We need each other in order to deal with the day to day on this earth.
Wow😅I had the same experience this week. My fiancé and I argued over something that he took offence to and it created a rift between us. But I feel like God being God, saw us in that and allowed us to take reproach in Him. We both took accountability for our actions and feelings in that time and asked Him to renew our minds. The enemy is really at work. Thank you Deborah for teaching on this, stay blessed 🤍

Today I asked God why was I having negative thoughts about those that offended me, and He answered me through this video. My ego was bruised and I wanted Justification for my reputation. All I need to do is to forgive

Thank you Deborah for sharing about this, good point, I had this issue with a person at church who was just passive aggressive with me, I think it all comes to our relationship with the Lord if we have a close and we stand with Him nothing can come between us, the enemy tries to trip the strong believers like you said in the body of Christ. Sis this LITERALLY JUST HAPPENED TO ME WITH MY HUSBAND THIS WEEKEND. He said this comment “oh I thought you used natural garlic” and I got SO OFFENDED to the point where I was ready to leave the house, that one comment spiraled me down a horrible path and i hurt myself and my husband. Oh my goodness this is crazy
This makes the second sermon of not taking offense I’ve heard this week! Then my boss texted me something yesterday about how much they spent on templates after I told them not to and I got so offended! This happened right after I heard a sermon and prayed about not getting offended and God put me in a situation to practice not getting offended and I failed miserably! Now hearing this today I know taking offense is an issue I’m dealing with. I pray the Holy Spirit just over takes me in this area because me trying to deal with it on my own definitely isn’t working 🤦🏻♀️

It’s so easy to get sidetracked and not hear the message! Satan is busy trying to create division and prevent you from hearing the Lords voice in our situations. I hear you Deborah a lot of times our ego takes over ,I prayer that all who are having issues in this area that God takes control over whatever situation you may be facing in your life! How do you tell when you're in the right for leaving? Sometimes we need to leave certain spaces, but as said in this video sometimes we need to forgive and go back.
Very good question 🤗! I think that setting boundaries is extremely important! I didn’t cover that in this video, but if forgiving someone and allowing them back into your life will set off a cycle of you getting hurt over and over then that’s not something we should revisit. Being a Christian doesn’t mean allowing others to walk all over us. Abraham and Lot decided to part ways on their journey in Genesis because them staying together caused more harm than being apart.
Minor offences is more what I’m covering in this video. The things that begin small but send us spiralling out of control so the enemy can cause division where it wasn’t necessary. Always bring these things to God to ask which one it is. Is this something that will continue to happen if I stay? Did I get offended and make this bigger than it was? Questions like that are great to ask :)
Jesus has blessed you indeed with His character to lead this amazing channel. Thank Jesus for giving you a willing spirit to lead His people in Spirit and Truth.

The lord really used you to speak to me ! Someone I hold dear to my heart literally offended me this evening. Truth be told it’s been a series of offences and I’m at the point where I’ve decided not to get angry at anything (basically being slow to anger and slow to speak as seen in the book of James) And I was prompted in my spirit to go to your channel and listen to one of your videos while having my bath and this suddenly came up. What a wonderful Faith Talk discussion about offense this week!! I am continuing to ask and pray to Heavenly Father to help me in this area of my life to not take offense to anyone saying something to me and not allowing it to hurt my feelings. It takes times and discipline to get through anything in life.
Do not worry abour what others say about you and how you say I and II Kings. I knew what you meant and you knew what you meant. That's all that matters. We have to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ daily. Satan and his co-conspirators are truly busy taking people's souls, if they allow him to, and hurting/damaging their and other's lives in the process. We must know who we are and whose we are 👆🏽👆🏽👆🏽 in all circumstances.

I love that this message came right when I needed confirmation, yesterday I had a catholic lady telling my mom that since we are baptized catholic we were doing very wrong in going to a Christian church, we’ve been going for a few months now and I’ve never felt more closer to God than I ever have, I wouldn’t go to church on Sundays or even talk to him like I do know, my mother wasn’t raised to go to church or to pray before her meals and It really bothered me to have that lady tell her such things, since mom isn’t as close with God I took offense in her trying to lead her away from church because if we believe in Christ and I have a strong connection with the church that I didn’t have when I used to go to catholic mass what is the problem? I want to get baptized at my new church because I’m seeing all of this with new eyes I kinda got angry with what she was telling my mom. But The Christian life is so beautiful to me and honestly I see it as a beautiful way to follow Christ.but I also know it’s not easy to believe the enemy is working through our brothers and sisters to try and separate us as believers, & I love this message coming in at the right time 🙏
Oh I’m so sorry that was said to you 😞 That’s so heartbreaking… who are we to judge other people in their walks with Christ? Who are we to make up the rules as we go? Keep serving Jesus in his house where you feel loved, welcomed. And where your relationship with him is growing! It sounds like the church you’re currently going through is doing exactly that and I’m so happy and excited to hear it 🥹🤍 the Lord is rejoicing in you and your mom sis! May this only be the beginning of how close he’s drawing you both into his love :)
