Sharing my testimony on fear here solely to encourage others:
I spent 5 weeks from the beginning of January to the first week of February studying for my nursing license exam to become a registered nurse. During that time, I had bouts of fear that would paralyze me, literally. It was always during my study periods. I’d hear a voice saying to me “oh how could you fail this practice question? You’re not smart! Is this how you’ll go take the NCLEX and fail? Girl, you spent 4 years in nursing school and as a new grad, how could you not know this? You’re stupid! You’re going to fail.”
I would cry every week about the practice questions I failed and after crying I’d go back and study the rationales. Sometimes I’d tell myself that I need to be kinder to myself, that I’m a new grad nurse, I can’t know everything, relax. Everytime the devil spoke to me about me possibly failing, it incited so much fear and anxiety that I would literally feel my chest very heavy and paralyzed. I was allowing the voice of the enemy overpower me when truthfully, God’s voice and what He says about me should be the only voice I listen to.
At the end of January, after one of my crying sessions, I opened my bible to Isaiah 43: 1 - 7 and started to remind God of His word there. The page got soaked with tears. Then at some point I got tired, heard a voice (It was the Holy Spirit) say, “Why are you crying? Stop it and pray instead.”
I went into a prayer & fasting session for 7 straight days. No one told me to fast. I just felt strongly like I needed to do it & be delivered. I said, “God! We need to fight this thing fire for fire! It’s literally a week to my exam. I can’t go into the exam like this.”
I watched one of your videos, Deborah, where you talked about fear & referenced Deuteronomy 31:6 and Joshua 1:9 & added those scriptures to my fasting & prayer.
I completed the 7th day the day before my exam, and in that time, I was still studying, but that was the first week where I didn’t cry, and the enemy’s voice never came to me. On exam day the next day, right before I answered my first question, I prayed and said, “Holy Spirit, I need you to be my eyes and my brain. I don’t want to miss things like I was doing during answering practice questions. God I need you to fight for me like you did for King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles 20:1-30. You said I shouldn’t be scared. So I won’t be scared, but I need your presence this very minute until this exam is done. Hold my hand, please.”
Let’s just say the exam wasn’t what I expected. Nothing I studied came out. The questions I got came from things I didn’t know. I ended up having to combine testing strategies I learned to make educated guesses. I would literally invoke the Holy Spirit for every question and then make a guess and move to the next question.
Came out of the exam feeling so dazed by how unexpected it was. Took me entirely by surprise. The next day, my results came and I passed. I’m a registered nurse now.
I can confidently confirm that the Holy Spirit took that exam for me, because what?! I felt a sense of peace and calm. Not a single iota of fear or anxiety while I took the exam. When the Lord is on your side, there is this sense of peace and calm that you feel. I can’t describe it. You just feel the presence of God and you’re at peace even when all around you is chaos. God is good & faithful.
If you’re believing in God for your miracle or breakthrough, don’t stop praying to God and seeking His face and will in it. He is a faithful God. He never abandons us.
Thanks for this inspiring testimony. I am fighting the overwhelming feeling of fear lately that I would just freeze and question if I can really do it, if I can succeed in my career aspirations knowing how I failed so many times despite giving my all. The voices of doubts and insecurities are just so overwhelming that I would cry my heart out to Lord. I told myself not to fear and have faith instead but I found myself in the same situation again, just trembling and not knowing what to do and if I should do it in the first place.
Thank God for the glorious help with overcoming fear. We were almost robbed of this testimony, and the registered nurse. Congratulations beloved of the Father
Girl, I feel you! I'm currently writing my Bachelors-Thesis and I have one month left and only written five pages so far. I've worried and cried so much during the last weeks... Every day I have to remind myself, that god is my strength and that he won't let me down. Thank you for your testimony. That gave me hope :-)

The timing of this video! I also have a fear of being in the spotlight, being active on my socials I’ve also been bullied all my life. Like you said people saying things that you can still hear it. Even family members saying hurtful things every single time.
I’ve been trying to get out there come out of my shelf so to speak to overcome this, push my self through the fear.
Even with trying to open my hair spa I’ve only been having warfare every single week, from people not showing up to help me out to paint and get everything ready to having water damage and not being able to start and missing out income. Besides that I’m trying to stay in Gods presence and trust him trough it all ❤

Your timing is immaculate😮💨 I’ve been stuck at my job that is beyond toxic, I’m talking about abusive boss and racist coworkers but I’m still there because I’m so scared of not having an income and I always think about how the job provided stability during Covid when so many people around me lost theirs. Overcoming fear has been something I always think I’m not having to do- and then I realize I’m definitely afraid of doing things because the confidence is not there.

I was scared to sing. I was scared to be a prominent voice on the Praise Team at my church for ONE song, it wrecked me and fear made it feel like my chest was breaking in, but I prayed and I did it scared.
That’s all. I did it scared after praying with my praise team leader and I sang at my church with the praise team on Sabbath. I sang. Y’all. For some, that may be nothing, for others it may be impossible. For God, what May seem impossible for us is possible for Him. Matthew 19:26

I have a fear of pursuing my dream of becoming a ballerina. I am on and off with my weight loss journey and it has been holding me back from even attempting to dance. Sometimes I get the urge to dance here and there. Overall I just want to kick my brain into full mode and just do it, but then I get scared and it never stops. I say this year is my year to focus on these two goals even if I don't make anything of it professionally. I hope to just do it for me. I love to dance and always have. ❤

Fear and anxiety is an understatement, especially when you are against a multimillion company who feel untouchable. I thank God for his mighty hand that is upon my life, and for the courage and bravery he has given me to fight this battle. He really is our refuge and strength, a ever-present help. Same, sis! I’ve dealt with the fear of public speaking my whole life until recently. The Lord had me become a teacher 😂 so I am constantly speaking in front of groups of young adults, and sometimes large groups!! It is truly a process that took many years, but the Word is so true when it says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!” ❤
Do it afraid! Great message! I have been there! I was asked to be a Keynote Speaker at several conferences in my field of work at the time, which was Federal Capital cases. I was a defense investigator and an expert in that area related to cases involving the federal death penalty. Even though I had the expertise, getting up in front of all my colleagues was another matter. I went through the same process...getting that sick feeling in your stomach when asked to attend as a Speaker...all the way to the platform! But I recall telling myself while preparing...this is a God thing...He wants me to do this...He is preparing me for my God given assignment in the future, which I'm sure will involve some public speaking. So, yes it is a process but in the back of my mind, I always knew that it was a Kingdom task that was preparing me for future Kingdom tasks, which really helped me in the big picture when preparing for each conference. Do it afraid was a saying I always leaned on for these speaking engagements. As well as trusting the Holy Spirit who has helped me through many scary moments.😊❤
I have a problem with overthinking and it gets worse day by day because am constantly in my head. It is getting to a point where I feel defeated and guilty because I can stop but i am finding hard to stop.

A few days ago i randomly took a screenshot of a qoute that says let them not project their fears on you and today here i am stumbling on this video. I believe God is trying to tell me something. I have testimonies where i have done things that didn't make sense to the people i told but it was because i had felt so compelled to do it, and even their fear would not bring down my faith

About the trauma, if there is anyone currently facing it I just want to share the truth with you:
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Your trauma is of the past and God has already healed it. It's not "going to be" healed, it is ALREADY healed. YOU ARE ALREADY HEALED FROM IT.
You're not "still dealing" with consequences of the past, you're not and never going to deal with the "trauma" of past events. Because you believe in Jesus Christ and have made Him your Lord, God and Savior. And when you did that, He made you new!
No more generational curses, no more trauma, no more superstitious beliefs. You are made brand new!
Ephesians 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
I encourage whoever is reading this to read the book of Ephesians to know your identity in Christ. And when I say read, I mean actually sit down and read it word by word, slowly, and asking the Holy Spirit to give you revelation knowledge about it that has the power to set you free. You are a new creation! Who the Son sets free is free indeed! You're free, praise the Lord ❤️

hi Deborah, thank you for this video and the prayer. I resigned from work late last year in hopes to write the CFA Level 1 exam so I could venture into Corporate Finance, but now fear is crippling me so badly and I can't even study. I feel overwhelmed and unqualified to even pass. Thank you for reminding me not to feed the lies the enemy is telling and that just because I'm afraid does not mean that God is not in this vision or goal with me. Thank you

Something that helped me get over fears was a near death experience last April (2023)! However,I don’t recommend trying that as a way to overcome. 😅But really, knowing that my time on this earth is short and valuable, really changed my perspective on things I used to worry about, and that held me back. Another thing was that while I was in the hospital, during one of my lucid moments, I had this “knowing” that God was with me, Deborah. It wasn’t a feeling, it was a knowing, and there was so much peace in that. I carry that with me to this day. Blessings to you all!

I am about to walk forward into something God is calling me into despite the fear. But I know God will show up in ways that I have never seen Him do, To Him be all the glory!!!! We have to pray strong warfare prayers against it, when fear comes upon you. It is litterly an attack from hell.

I have recently faced fear and anxiety over my operation. I rested my worries in prayer and confided in the Lord and my operation went so smoothly and I’m healing really well. I owe everything I have to God, and in these past few days I felt the Holy Spirit within me and it was a beautiful comforting feeling. Amen sis, bravery is also when you in the presence of fear🙌🙏🩷

On time word. I've been battling so much physically and fear comes in at times. I keep surrending it to the Lord. But can you please pray for me for complete healing, discernment on what will help me and also against fear. Ty I'll be praying for this family as well 🙏🏻❤️

Thanks for this message. I am actually questioning my relationship with Lord lately because I am always feeling fearful so it made me ask if I am really trusting Him or if I am really being faithful because I felt the feeling of fear.
The presence of fear doesn’t mean God isn’t with you, it means the enemy is doing overtime to keep you from what God has for you! Speak against the words of the enemy, rebuke fear over your life in Jesus mighty name. You’ve been called for great things!!!

This is God’s way to talk with me, I have the direction to start a Bible study with my family but for now I have only introduced two of my closest cousins to it but the first study session has been delayed so many times 😭and whenever I had the opportunity to actually start with it in a casual way, I felt unprepared and fearful, I deal with the fear of speaking out loud and since a very young age before seriously accepting Jesus in my life it was hard to speak up and express my feelings, I kinda still deal with it but God has helped me so much with confidence and support to overcome it, it’s kinda hilarious and a miracle that He called Me to speak and preach to my family and to the world about His word and kingdom because it’s so difficult for me to speak infront of people, I started a Bible study group with one of my friends in school but the difference is that she is close to the Lord and gives Him time unlike my cousins and family, it was a lot easier to study with my friend but ofc I felt a little of fear at first but grew more sure about it through doing it more often and the first time the Lord brought one of my classmates to join us, the second time He brought another of our classmates to join us, He acts so spontaneously and wonderfully that them coming close to us to talk about the word and about Him kinda took us out at first.
By watching this video the Lord taught me that it’s normal to fear and that is necessary to go through that fear to actually overcome it, do I feel ready to start preaching about His truth to my family and to start with my two cousins? No, but I will do it bc I understand that the fear comes bc the devil knows that freedom will come to my family’s life when the mission of the Lord is fulfilled, We can do all things through Christ and I will not be stopped by fear, the Lord will put the words in my mouth and He will talk through me and His word will be heard 🙌🤍

I wanted to know, how do you practically read your Bible as if you don't know all your "go to" verses? Like reading it with wonder?
