Baidin Fheilimi (Irish trad.)

- A sweet children's song originated in the 17th century, from the Gaeltacht region, north west of County Donegal. It tells about Fheilimi, an Ulster chieftain and sailor, who was escaping from Donegal on his little boat, headed to Gabhla and Toraigh. But he eventually crashed against the Toraigh island. My simple version is in Irish Gaelic and uses a McIlroy A87 (adirondack/jacaranda).

thankyou for the kind comment Zsolto! yes, gaelic is a rather complex language for a non-irish, phonology and pronunciation is a real challenge! I do not understand it either of course, but I am just fascinated with the sounds... you might consider learning it! :) have a nice WE you too
