- We visited the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in the ancient city of Udaipur, a serene and historically rich destination located around 55 kilometers from Agartala, Tripura. The temple, which is approximately 500 years old, holds the distinction of being the oldest temple in the Udaipur district. Popularly referred to as Matabari, the shrine is situated on a small hillock. Its unique shape, resembling the hump of a tortoise (Kurma), is considered one of the holiest sites for a Shakti temple, adding to the spiritual significance of this sacred place.
One of the highlights of our visit was tasting the famous pera prasad, a rich, milk-based sweet that has become synonymous with this temple. No visit to the temple is complete without trying this delicacy, and it’s a must for any sweet lover. Thanks to our gracious host, Subhadip Bhattacharya, we had the unique opportunity to witness the making of this iconic treat at the workshop of the oldest pera shop, Tripura Sundari Pera Bhandar. It was fascinating to watch the milk being slowly transformed into khoya, which was then skillfully shaped into the delightful pera. The aroma of fresh khoya filled the air, making the experience all the more special.
Subrata Roy, the owner of the shop, personally guided us through the entire process and shared fascinating details about the history and tradition behind this cherished sweet. After enjoying the freshly made pera, we indulged in a simple yet satisfying meal of puri sabzi, a staple food combination often enjoyed by devotees.
Next, we visited the Bhubaneswari Temple in Rajnagar, another sacred site that added to the spiritual depth of our journey. After spending some peaceful moments there, we returned to Mata Tripura Sundari Temple for the anna prasad, a traditional meal platter served as a blessing to all who visit. This wholesome offering of food brought a perfect conclusion to our visit, filling not just our stomachs but our hearts as well.

Do not keep this wrong notion brother, we cannot fight over god.. Mother is no one's. Not mine and not yours, she is everyone's holy mother. Aur probably if you are confident then iska proof samet aap ko ye appeal karna chahiye. Agar Jamatia puja deta tha toh main v support karunga, but only with proof. Koi puja k "bidhi/script" etc mein likha ho toh thik hain. Mera purohit se na koi rishta hain na koi naata. Agar aap sahi ho toh fir aapne haq k liye ladna chahiye.
